Summary: A real gem for Kline fans
Review: Mr. Keogh and Maltin don't know what they're talking about. This is a great comedy, whether or not you've got a grudge against Lawrence Kasdan as a certain goateed film critic seems to. Joan Plowright isn't even the best part. The Harlon and Marlon routine is priceless and Tracey Ullman is superb as always. Catch it on Comedy Central if you can.

Summary: Sadly Underrated Black Comedy
Review: One of the most neglected movies of the early '90's is a howl. It's a sympathetic, hilarious look at tabloid America that was ahead of its time, when you consider this "Enquirer"-soaked decade. Ullman is touching as the inept housewife assassin. Kline is a riot a the lecherous husband who is too hard to kill. And watch for William Hurt and Keanu Reeves as the stoned hippie would-be hitmen. The film just gets funnier as it goes along.

Summary: Yes, I Love You All to Death!
Review: There are some films of which you should never be critical on details but should just sit back and enjoy what the film gives you. gI Love You to Deathh is the best one of such kind. Oh, yes, having watched it for many, many times, it never fails to give me fresh bliss every time I watch it!

Why this film is so excellent is obvious: it has a shiny set of brilliant, extraordinary and adorable characters that are played by the gorgeous-like-chandelier actors. My personal favorite of all these stars is, of course, Marlon, the a-bit-moronic-but-lovable drug addict turned gtoo-sweet-to-killh killer, played by Keanu Reeves with drastic hair-do and off-beat fashion sense.

And, you got to see this Joey (Kevin Kline), the womaniser pizza shop owner, who broke his faithful wife, Rosalie (Tracey Ullman)fs heart so devastatingly that she decides to kill him. One problem here is, he is not a human! Seriously! He works 14 to 15 hours a day, 7 days a week, never sleeps more than two or three hours a night. And still has surplus energy (or hormones, maybe?) to go out with a different woman every night! Personally, I would like to kill him just because he eats like an excessively greedy elephant yet gain no weight at all!! That ability alone is intolerable for all women, not to mention his outrageously frequent adultery. But, still, Rosalie loves him so much that she wants him to die but not to be hurt!? !

To see other countless jewel moments that make you burst to laugh, smile, mad and moved, and to witness how on earth you can ever kill this monstrously superhuman-like cheeky Italian guy, you definitely got to see this yourself.

Everyone becomes happy in the end including ones who have been watching. Once I tried it when I was extremely depressed and found myself still be able to laugh and love. For that quality, gI Love You to Deathh is undoubtedly irreplaceable treasure to me.

Review: This is one of my all time favorite movies. All of the actors were marvelous. I laughed through almost the entire thing. When I found out it was based on a true story, that only made it funnier. Definitely three thumbs up!!

Summary: Top Ten Hilarious Movies!
Review: This movie is perfectly paced and utterly hilarious! Just when you're loving and hating Joey all at once, up pops two surprises: Keanu Reeves and William Hurt, as burnout would-be killers. From there, the movie rolls like a meatball down a mountain, gaining momentum, getting funnier and funnier, until you realize that you don't care how it ends, because you have been entertained. Relax: the ending's great. The only thing bad about this movie is that it's not on DVD yet. I don't know how much longer I can wait. In the meantime, my VHS copy gets more and more worn every chance I get. I pray for rainy days, so I have an excuse to do no chores and sit down with this movie. It's a giggle fest from start to finish, and Kevin Kline is completely wonderful in it. Joan Plowright is equally wonderful, and her line, "Try for discount," is terrifically repeatable. What a great movie, and great for any age, although there is one very strong word right in the middle (the "P" word) - used for comic relief, but still... I have to mute the tv when my kids are around, and that's a drag. Otherwise, this movie is a real joy. Give it a chance; it's fabulous.

Summary: A wonderfully bent comedy--based on a true story!
Review: This tale is about a highly energetic husband (Kevin Kline) who works and runs a pizza store next to his and his wife's rental apartment. His wife, who has glorified her productive husband as her knight in shining armor, suddenly is confronted with the fact that he has been cheating on her--with more than one woman. So...she sets off to kill him, only that turns into
an hilarious set of misadventures, in itself. Kline and Tracy Ullman make a great team. The script is fun and moves quite quickly. Look forward to our favorite additional character: the husband's mother-in-law.

As I've said before, this story is based on a true couple. He was cheating, running a pizzaria; and she had problems trying to bump him off. She went to trial, he was still alive and more than survived. She and he, as far as I can tell from last updates, are
still married and living happily together. From a talkshow interview, he claimed that the fury of his wife's attempts helped
to make him a better man. Go for the comedy movie!
