Summary: great movie -- not a great dvd
Review: _a fish called wanda_ is a great movie with many memorable quotes and funny moments. i was a bit disappointed, though, that the dvd is not presented in dolby digital 5.1 like most dvd's (it only has one sound channel).

Summary: The most cleverly written comedy of the eighties!
Review: Former Monty Python member, John Cleese's screenplay for "A Fish Called Wanda", will make you laugh hysterically out of it's sheer cleverness.

All throughout the story, complex situations are leading to unexpected results. If you have seen the movie, you know about the hysterical complex chain-of-events that enable Otto, to knock Archie Leach unconscious in his own home after arriving to apologize to him.

I thought Michael Palin's character, Ken, wasn't that terribly funny through most of the picture. But even he has a great comic payoff when John Cleese bursts in on Ken, demanding vital information, and all Ken can do is stutter while Cleese waits with uncomfortable patience.

Summary: John Cleese + Micheal Palin + and Kevin Kline = Very Funny!
Review: If you like Monty Python humor, but at times find it to be a little too much, this movie is perfect for you. The Monty Python-ish humor that is there isn't overwhelming for the average viewer. When you watch this movie, remember one thing..."Re--vvenge!"

Summary: The funniest movie of 1988
Review: I laughed until I almost fell out my seat. Its fun to watch a movie when you know the actors are having a good time making a picture. If nothing else watch Kevin Kline in his Academy award winning role that he deserved hands down.

Summary: ABSOLUTELY BLOODY FABULOUS!!!!!!
Review: I believe this to be the funniest, most enjoyable movie, I have ever seen !

Summary: Another classic, quote-a-minute movie
Review: John Cleese, Michael Palin, Jamie Lee Curtis and Kevin Klein all turn in extraordinary and perfect performances. But Klein steals the show as Otto, he is absolutely brilliant. So many great scens, and a surprising number of excellent one-liners, too. Cleese did a good job of writing a story that would go over well on both sides of the Atlantic. Some great scenes are the the nude dance by Cleese, the part where Otto eats the fish and, my personal favorite, the XK-Red-27 technique explanation by Otto. The only quibble : too small a part for Michael Palin.

Summary: Funniest movie I have ever seen!
Review: THE funniest movie I have ever seen - and if you can imagine a romantic movie with quite a bit of slapstick - this is it! Kevin Kline is hysterically funny (love the CIA scene!), Cleese is wonderful and Jamie Lee Curtis is perfect.
