Summary: Worthless
Review: Everyone thinks Super Troopers is such a great movie. The beginning of the movie when the three stoners get pulled over is funny, but it's all downhill from there. After the stoner scene, the movie gets really tedious. Maybe Super Troopers is amusing when you're stoned off your ass, but I watched it sober, and it sucked. A great comedy should be funny even when you're sober. We now have a bunch of morons repeating the lines from this crappy movie. People, it's not funny when YOU say the lines from Super Troopers, hell they're not really funny in the first place. Anyway, this is just my personal opinion. If you wanna rate this review not helpful, go ahead, enjoy smoking your pot and chewing your mushrooms.

Summary: It's a bird, It's a plane, no, run it's the super troopers
Review: For ages I've been told to check this movie out. I don't know why I put it off for so long? I guess it's because the trailer doesn't show you anything of what the movie is about. I was mistaken by the trailer, I thought it was either a serious cop film, but it's far from it... I hope.

I was hilariously surprised when I sat down and watched this film (tho, not like I would stand up to watch a film)

Super Troopers I guess you could say are a bunch of State Highway cops who are just that bored with no real criminals or much to do that they entertain themselves for there own personal amusement. Until one day when a drug conspiracy is uncovered running through their town, a homicide, drug trafficking, all happening while they're in constant competition with their neighbouring cops and also under threat of having one of the stations closed down permanently.

The movie I found to be belly laughing hilarious the first time around, a lot of funny moments, but I wouldn't say the movie is lasting, the second time I watched it I had a few chuckles, but the laughs weren't as funny, and the plot wasn't really all that interesting.

It's still a funny movie tho. Although there is a fair amount of swearing, too much, even by my standards. So it's not exactly a family movie, unless you're part of the Osbourne family.

The bonus features are nothing to praise, there's some deleted/extended scenes & stuff, a couple of featurette's and an alternate ending. After watching some of the deleted bits, I think they could release an uncut version of this film.

I might be the only one to think it, but Super Trooper's to me is kind of like Animal House meets the Police Academy, or Animal House joins the Police Academy. I'd recommend you rent it before deciding if you'd think you'd want to buy it, you'll either love it or hate it.

I give it 3 and a half stars.

Summary: jokes were old and stale
Review: I must admit, I thought it looked stupid when I saw the theater previews, and the first time I saw it (back in 2002), it didn't strike me as all that funny. I found out that, for me especially, this is one of those movies that you need to give a second chance, because when I did, I enjoyed it thoroughly. I just had to get myself in the frame of mind that THESE GUYS ARE COPS, and their actions don't reflect those of most policemen today. I can't stop watching it, even now 2 years later. It has an original cast of characters (most of which this was their debut to the big screen) and an incredibly random and chaotic storyline that jumps all around from the highway cops just doing stupid things and having a great time, and we get the laugh at their expense. I don't want to get myself started talking about this movie because I could talk about it for quite a long time. If you haven't seen this, and know cops or even are a cop, you need to see this, and I think you would thoroughly enjoy it!

Summary: The most underrated cast and movie
Review: I think it's safe to say that anyone who saw this movie saw it because of its trailer. No one had probably heard of the comic group "Broken Lizard", I'm sure of that. But then that's the point of the trailer. The five-man police team of Broken Lizard stars Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske; along with their ill-fated chief Brian Cox. The group, who's on the verge of having their station shut down, does pretty much whatever they please out on the road. I mean, they are cops. Maybe not good cops, but still cops. They do things ranging from highway games such as "repeater" to seeing who can say "meow" the most. And I can honestly say the first 10 minutes or so of 'Super Troopers' is the best first 10 minutes of any movie I've ever seen.

And even after the beginning, the comedy and laughs continue on throughout the movie. And in fact, the point that their station is going to be shut down doesn't even phase them. They just keep on making jokes until we (the viewer) can't handle it. The movie was said to have no plot, and that's very true. But a good plot isn't even needed. The acting is so awesome, you'll seemingly have a new respect for your local boys in blue. Okay, maybe not. I do have to say that Kevin Heffernan's role of the dense and almost stupid Farva is the best. He is basically the odd man out, as the other four officers are good friends. The lines that Farva has are so dumb that you can't help but laugh out loud.

Besides Heffernan's infamous Farva, there's Thorny (Jay Chandrasekhar), Mac (Steve Lemme), Rabbit (Erik Stolhanske), and Foster (Paul Soter). All five characters bring their own blend of comedy to the force, which is why they work so well together. The comedy they use almost seems to be like small skits; and they even manage to give Jim Gaffigan, who has done stand-up comedy on Comedy Central, a small but hilarious role as one of their many quote-unquote: victims.

I don't like to give away movie endings, even if the ending is not what makes the movie. So that's where I'll stop. If you like comedy films you'll certainly enjoy 'Super Troopers'. It is one of my favorite movies, no doubt. I gave it 5 stars, even though it didn't have a truly good plot. And it derserves 5 stars; which if you see this movie, you'll understand. Like I said, the five-man crew may or may not give you a new respect for the force; and if not you'll still laugh for the entire movie. If you saw the trailer and even thought about seeing the movie, do see it. The trailer provides for only about five percent of the movie's true, comical greatness.

Summary: My New Cult Classic
Review: I took my little brother to Super Troopers in the theater in the perfect state of mind - low expectations - which I highly recommend. I died laughing! Then I went again with a buddy and I died laughing again. I ended up seeing it again with him and his wife along with another couple and now it filters through random conversations we have. Lines like "I can't pull over any further...I'm already pulled over", "It smells like sex in here", "that little guy... I wouldn't worry about that little guy" and "I want a liter of cola" - totally crack us up. I bought the DVD the first day it came out (I only own one other DVD so this isn't a normal thing for me) and I've watched it again 3 times including last night, it's become one of those movies for me where I look forward to each scene and start laughing just thinking about it.

I'll have to say that I know a couple of people who saw Super Troopers and didn't like it. But I think it's more that they wouldn't like any movie in this "genre". So in my perspective - if you like Office Space, Caddyshack, Airplane, you'll be down with Super Troopers.

Summary: I lost my kidney because of this one
Review: ok first of all if your going to review anything at all, than maybe you should get the name of the moive right. but i wont mention any name couph Hadi. With that out of the way we can begin to understand just why this movie was so great
1. they all pass for cops
2. It pokes fun at the cops of the real world and no one likes them.
3. last of all its just funny
No this movie will probably not change your life or make you think deep thoughts but its funny as hell. thats exactly what the purpose of the moive was right? to make us the crowd sitting in a theatre stuffing candy down our faces to bust a gut. dont take it for what its not is what it boils down to in the end.

Summary: Hilarious
Review: Okay, it does LOOK dumb. I can understand anyone's hesitation to watch this movie. I didn't think I was going to like it at all, but it was the only thing playing by the time my friends and I made it to the movie theater...so, I watched it. Thank God I did! Super Troopers is absolutely hilarious. It's the funniest movie I've seen in a long, long time. The writing is extremely funny - I especially loved Thorny - and the acting was top-notch, especially for a bunch of no-name actors. This film is definitely on it's way to being a cult classic. I, for one, just ordered the DVD and will be anticipating the moment when I can invite my friends over, pop it in the DVD player and light one up. ...

Summary: Great comedy with hilarious cast
Review: Super Troopers is a great movie that will no doubt have you laughing throughout. The story follows the efforts of five Vermont highway patrol officers and their captain. Because of certain budget cuts, the station may be shut down forcing them to transfer to another station. The officers know they have to do something big or else they could all lose their jobs. Their opportunity arises when a murder and a drug trafficking ring is linked together. All the while, the highway patrol is battling nearby local police for control of the area. This is a very funny movie with an excellent ensemble cast. The best part of the movie is the routines the guys have that they use to mess with people when they pull them over on the road. Some of the other routines are just as funny like the bulletproof cup and Rabbit's diversion late in the movie.

Super Troopers has an excellent ensemble cast that works great together. Brian Cox plays the veteran captain trying to keep his men together and is very good especially the last half hour. The five officers are played by Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Eric Stolhanske as Thorny, Foster, Mac, Rabbit, and Favra. The DVD offers theatrical trailers, widescreen format, extended scenes, deleted scenes with commentary, outtakes, an alternate ending, and a featurette. Super Troopers is a vastly underrated comedy that is hilarious from beginning to end. Don't miss Super Troopers!

Summary: Hilarious comedy that never lets up
Review: Super Troopers is one of those movies that no matter how many times you watch it, you're still going to think it's funny. It's the story of 5 Vermont State Troopers fighting to keep their station open. They then go into a war with the Local Police who seem to try to take credit for everything they do, or sabatage their progress. After a while though things about the local cops start to get suspicious, and it seems something that's not exactly legal may be going on with them. The movie is written by "Broken Lizard", a team of 5 writers who play the five state troopers in the movie.

The best part of the movie by far is the characters. The 5 state troopers are each unique and different, and are absolutely hilarious.Among them you have Rabbit, the rookie cop who doesn't really know that much about his job yet, Mac the crazy one who will do absolutely anything, Foster the one with a love affair going on with the local cop Ursula, and of course Farva the funniest part of the entire movie. It also seems that the troopers don't take their job seriously, as they like to pull pranks on their unlucky traffic victims, like saying meow ten times to a driver who's been pulled over, no wonder their station is being shut down. However if you buy this movie for only one thing, you have to buy it for Officer Rob Farva. He is perhaps the funniest character I've ever watched. The things he says and does are just outrageously funny, and you could very well picture this guy being a state trooper. If you watch the credits after the movie, you see Farva's famous school bus incident which is talked about in the movie. One of my favorite things that Farva does is when they are at a dinner party, he says to Mac "hey you wanna go hit for hit?" and Mac hits him downstairs. All Farva can say "Oh I did not specify". Haha. The pranks and other gags are also very funny, and enough to keep you entertained for the hour and a half or so the movie lasts. The underlying story isn't that bad either.

If you like comedies, I don't see how you couldn't like Super Troopers. It's definitely one of the funniest I've ever seen. I think the people who don't like it either read into it too or expect something else, and the movie never really gets a fair chance with them. Officer Rod Farva is definitely worth the price of admission though, and this one is much better than
"Broken Lizard"'s latest "Club Dread"
