Summary: I loved it!
Review: My sister told me not to watch this movie and of course as usual I didn't listen to her. I have to say that I loved this movie. I loved the story and I loved the ending. I loved the fact that they played the characters in the story, it made me laugh. I only gave it four stars because its not the kind of movie that I would watch over and over again or a tear jerker. But it is really good. My sister and I have different tastes in movies, that's why I didn't listen to her. I'm glad I didn't. I would have missed out on a great great film.

Summary: Cute
Review: A nice quiet Sunday afternoon kind of movie. I liked the different spin played in this romantic comedy.

Summary: Fluffy chick flick
Review: As a chick flick, it gets 4 stars; as 'great theater,' it'd get one star. I'll give it an overall 3.
Author Alex has gambled away most of the advance on his next romance novel and must produce a finished book in 30 days or the Cuban Mafia will drop him off his 4th floor balcony. But he's got writer's block. He hires reluctant court stenographer Emma (Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn clone and daughter) to type while he creates and dictates. The book, set in maybe the 30s, becomes a metaphor for real life, with, of course, romance between author and steno at the heart of it.
There's no lesson here, no message, nothing deep at all. It's not great theater or great drama. It's just a cute little toss-off movie that my 89yo mother and 50yo sister would both love, a movie you could take your great auntie to.

Summary: Run away!
Review: Painfully unfunny, uncharming, and unentertaining movie. The main plot is ludicrous, the subplot starts off badly and it's downhill from there, and I shudder to think what the second hour held in store for us if I had not switched over to regular TV, which was like an oasis in the Sahara.

Summary: Definitely movie for girls
Review: I liked the movie and I doubt that there would be a lot of guys who'd appreciate it. After all it is a movie about a guy who's trying to sit on two chairs, apparently in love (or perhaps in lust?) with two different women and having a big challenge choosing between them, until he finds himself sitting on the floor, so to speak - without either woman by his side - at which point he reaches enlightening realization that while he was trying to catch and hold onto two birds, he was left empty-handed, didn't like the situation and then rushed to chase and catch at least one of them.

I'm sure there are women out there who could recognize at least one of their "ex"(?) boyfriends acting in similar way and find the movie acting as a catalist - perhaps even make them laugh at the whole "fear of commitment" game.

Summary: Well, I liked it..
Review: Well, I don't really care what everyone who gave Alex & Emma a bad review thinks, because I loved this movie. I saw it at my cousin's house yesterday, and it kept me glued to the screen for the whole 96 minutes. I laughed out loud, and even got a little teary at some parts. Kate Hudson was funny as usual, and Wilson did a good job on his part. If you like a comedy with a romantic twist, Alex & Emma is the movie for you.

Summary: Paris when it Sizzles
Review: I can;t beleive that no one has mentioned that this is a remake of the Audry Hepburn movie, Paris When it Sizzles. Both are great.

Summary: This is literally
Review: the worst movie I have ever seen. There was nothing good about it - bad plot, bad acting... buy something else if you ask me.

Summary: Cute and Funny ~~~ great anytime comedy
Review: I went with my friend to see this movie for my birthday---- I'm not typically a "chick flik" person----- This movie is an exception, anyone can enjoy this movie because of it's well written screenplay and witty humor. The acting and chemistry between Kate Hudson and Luke Wilson add to the story which is more then your average romantic comedy. What I found most enjoyable and interesting about the film was the unique approach of showing how characters and books create themselves and the writer just writes down what he/she learns- Wilson and Hudson make a great team and this movie is sure to leave your mind, heart and funny bone satisfied.
