Summary: a definite gem
Review: I really don't understand why the critics panned this movie, and I think I'm a pretty sophisticated movie watcher. I personally adored this movie and had no trouble watching it again and recommending it to friends. The plot is bizzarre and sometimes loses momentum, but overall is very entertaining. Cameron Diaz is OK but Ewan McGregor is GREAT! What a charmer. Not the greatest movie in the world, but one of my personal favorites. (Check out the 5-star soundtrack as well).

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A great romantic comedy with crime
Review: The trainspotting team for some reason left there normal film making achievements behind (shallow grave) and made a romantic comedy . Yes it is still good but it lacks the masterpiece status that was achieved by shallow grave and trainspotting . The acting is marvolous and the directing is good it just seems that even though the plot is original the script lacks the substance to make it a brilliant film but it is still a great one . Worth alook and certainly worth buying . It will keep you entertained and some bits are hilarious . A great film .

Summary: Charismatic, Funny, Strangely Romantic
Review: I loved this movie. Ewan McGregor is my absolute favorite actor and that is why I chose to see this film. I wasn't too sure about Cameron Diaz because i didn't enjoy some of her other films, but I was wrong. Danny Boyle is a genious to pair the two of them together. Their charisma and energy together made me watch the film about 20 times. I've seen Trainspotting and Shallow Grave, which Boyle also directed. They were very different from this movie, but I don't think a director should be labeled with a single genre. A beautiful film to be enjoyed by everyone.

Summary: Bobby Darin's hit makes this soundtrack worthwhile!
Review: "Beyond the Sea" is by far the most exciting and fun track on this CD. The dance number set to this song in the movie is one of the best scenes and gives the film its strange yet entertaining qualities.I think "Beyond the Sea" fits well with the wide variety of songs that make up this soundtrack.
