Review: So the movie starts out with the conflict being between the blond cheerleaders and this brunette street kid who wants to be on the team. OK, we got it. Barbie vs. Jo from Facts of Life. But then what happens? Less than halfway through, the blond team has to go up against a team of black cheerleaders, and so now the street kid bonds with the blondes and what happened to the original conflict?! Does anyone reading this care about screenwriting? If so, and you saw this movie, could you give it more than one star? Why? Who in the cast are you related to?

Summary: Like totally freak me out I mean right on, Bring it On is #1
Review: First of all, how gorgeous are all the men in this movie? I would reccommend it to all the ladies out there just for this reason, but I don't even need to, because it is honestly a good movie! I've got to say though, Nathan West, how adorable is he!

Moving on, the film is hysterical. The opening sequence is extremely memorable. Possibly, the most hilarious opening I've ever viewed. Yes, it's a teen movie, but for some strange reason, it stands out above the rest. The entire film is full of energy, great music and amazing dance routines. I purchased the DVD, being that I'd seen it in the theater and found it ammusing, but enjoyed it even more the second time around (on DVD). Know this, I own maybe three teen movies on DVD, out of my maybe 50-60 DVD collection. There's no doubt that those involved in the movie had to work hard, not on special effects, or things of that nature, but the coreography, the actors doing the stunts, and nailing everything. Nothing and no one looks out of place, they tear it up.

The story goes like this (in as few words as I can manage):
the Toros get a new head cheerleader (Kirsten Dunst, who strangely, is named "Torrance" in the movie), who discovers that all the cheers she and the squad have been taught in the past, have been stolen from an inner city squad. This year however, the inner city squad is better than ever and will be their competition, therfore the Toros need to find their own routines. There's romance, sarcasm, dancing, and listen to this...not one single party!(I hope I am remembering correctly)but I think this is one of the very first "teen movies" without some big blowout. It really concentrates on the cheerleading, without many things that sidetrack.

The DVD is pretty nice, I haven't viewed everything yet, but what I have, has been great. It includes:
-deleted scenes
-extended scenes
-making of Bring it On
-pop up facts that can be turned on durring movie play
-home movies on set

-wardrobe and makeup tests
-commentary with the directory (Peyton Reed)
-Blaque's (who co-star in the film) music video "As If"

I also want to point out that it is one of the only teen movies, besides American Pie 1 and 2, with decent features on the DVD. I would definitely reccommend it as one to own, even if it's one of those ones that you buy on a whim without viewing first. You won't be disappointed. It's a fun flick.

Review: Toro's sure are number one.

"Bring It On" is a classic movie unto it's own. The other entry I can think of in the same type of category (high school cheerleader movies) is "Sugar and Spice," which was horrible.

The audio on this movie is superbly done. The video has no artifacts. The extras on this DVD are agreat. The deleted scenes don't add much to the movie, but are still fun to watch. The best part though is the credit slides of outtakes and other funny stuff. Best one is where Kirsten Dunst yells to the crowd "Do you want me to show you my butt?" And then she gets disgusted...saying something like "You guys are so perverted." Funny stuff.

The movie itself is well written, well directed, and well acted on all the parts. Eliza Dushku shines, but not nearly as bright as Kirsten Dunst. She steals the show.

All in all...a wonderful DVD. Buy it, laugh, and enjoy high school cheerleaders.

Summary: So-so
Review: OK, I have to admit that I don't exactly like cheerleading movies (for some reason. Heck knows). So no matter how you convince me, it's not going to work.

But, if I change my point of view, pretending to be my friends, I would have to say that this movie really isn't bad for cheerleading, yet, it's not totally perfect. Oh, and Kristen doesn't look ANYTHING like the Spiderman MJ. Those girls (back to Bring It On) aren't that fab looking. What attracts people most is the dancing and jumping and comedy-atmosphere. What else? They just dance and cheer and shout, and dance and cheer and shout...

Summary: Very Very funny!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Hey this movie is awesome I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the best parts in the movie are when she's dreaming in the beginning, when they're at nationals and at the end when they are doing the mistakes and a little dance thing to Hey Mickey. For me a Buffy the Vampire slayer fan it was really weird to see Eliza (who plays Faith on Buffy) in this movie as the person she is. Did anybody else think the Choreagropher was gross?

Review: Bring It On is a waste of film. My friend bribbed me into seeing this nonsence and I was so appaled that I walked right out of the theater to see something else. Kirsten Dunst is such a great actress and she is always unlucky at getting the dumb-blonde valley girl hotty-totty. I can't stand it seeing little anorexic girls running around complaining because they HAVE to win the cheerleading competition. Girls, GET A REAL PROBLEM. You are all spoiled little brats. I hate this movie. DON'T SEE IT! See "Angela's Ashes" and get a real view on life, not nonsense.

Summary: A entertaining cheer full of flipping fun!!
Review: this movie is a cheerleading hit. It has humor, fun, and competitiveness which you will find in any kind of high school sporting events. It has a knockout of an opening of Kirsten Dunst dreaming of the cheerleading squad performing at a pep rally of which she watches up at the nightmare of having no clothes on in front of the whole school. It has a surprising ending..(I won't give that away!)All and all, it has very great moments and surprises around any corner. I would recommand this movie for mostly any high school female who have though about joining cheerleadering and just about anybody who is looking for a good laugh and some encourgment to want to go workout.

Summary: Charming and funny
Review: I think most would agree that this movie won't change the world, but it does make it a pleasant place to be for a while watching it.
It didn't challenge me or provoke any deep, meaningful thoughts, but it made me laugh and that is oftentimes more important in todays world.
There is one remarkable scene that is so well done that it almost belongs in a better movie. The lead characters, the cheerleader and her friends brother; who she has a crush on, are brushing their teeth using the same mirror. There are no words in this part but the looks, glances and smiles between the two are riviting. It beautifully conveys the electric charge that only new love can bring with a single syllable uttered.
