Summary: How Lame
Review: Don't waste your money on this crap. It is filled with predictable humor and the story line is horrible. I expected much much better from Meth and Redman. Seriously people , this movie is trash. Its a minstrel show with stereotypical dumb pot smoking thugs a stereotypical white hick and a stereotypical asian FOB. This movie is just a disgrace.

Summary: this cracks you up from start to finish........
Review: i love this movie. Normally I see rappers in movies, then I think why did they ever do it? But this was totallly hilarious. Red man and method are great as a team and the plot of this story, just hearing it, makes you laugh.
If you liked this I suggest you watch Friday, Next friday, and friday after the next............

Summary: First hour or so hilarious, then it drags listlessly
Review: The first hour or so of this movie was hilarious and had scenes that were genuinely funny and had me laughing more than most comedies that have been released in the past couple years.

But, the last half hour drags as if the filmmaker didn't know had to end it and was so concerned with tying up the loose ends that any ounce of humor flew out the window.

And, while it is a goofball comedy, the caricature of the Asian character was more than just tongue-in-cheek or corny, but downright offensive, whereas the other one-dimensional characters were just corny.

This character was just a new (at the same time, old) version of the Long Duk Dong caricature in "Sixteen Candles." And an even worse version given that some 20 years later after "Sixteen Candles," society and filmmakers still haven't learned that Asian characters who speak bad, stunted English and only want sex are offensive and not funny in the least.

But if you can put aside the Asian caricature and the last half hour of this movie, you will get major laughs out of it -- it's just too bad that the filmmakers couldn't extend the energy and humor of the movie's first portion through the end. (and the ending is ultimately a disappointment and seems like the filmmakers didn't know how to end it -- something which plagues many potentially good movies).

Ultimately, the overall failure of this comedy is unfortunate, because they had a familiar yet potentially good storyline (if only they had a stronger storyline) and a strong, comedic duo in Method Man and Redman -- While Meth and Red have a good repertoire, it is Method Man who carries the film.

The fish-out-of-water storyline exudes success in its opening scenes and at one point, it seems it will rise above the cliches. But sadly, it falls short. Yet it is worth a rental.

Summary: Pretty Darn Funny!
Review: yes, I'll admit, the familiar plotline has been redone over & over: Two low-class losers crash high society & stick it to the snobs. we've seen this one done everywhere from "the flinstones" to "caddyshack" to "PCU" & "Dumb & Dumber". & as long as its done funny, I dont mind treading familiar waters. & this one is pretty darn funny.

Dont expect chekov or anything, this is not a movie to go into w/ high cinematic expectations but expect mindless, funny, stoner "guy humor" thats light on gross out (which seems to be way too common today) & heavy on adult humor, classic insults & stereotypes of all kind--which can be funny as long as everyone gets their share...& they do!

the jokes are fast & fresh, the setups are funny & the acting wasnt bad either considering i've never seen meth or red act in anything except a music video. the film was directed by Jesse Dylan (son of Bob) & is the perfect stoner movie that will have you laughing out loud...high or sober. the perfect accompaniment to "Up in SMoke" if you & your buddies choose to smoke & laugh your head off one night.

Summary: Weed, Blunt, Pot, and then smoke it...
Review: Silas (Method Man), the community's good drug dealer, loses his friend to an accident that triggers some guilt within Silas and he decides to follow his lost friends advice and take a college placement test. In the parking lot in front of the test center Silas bumps into Jamal (Redman) while trying to lite up a blunt. When they smoke weed, it brings about his dead friend as a ghost who knows everything and helps them get the highest score ever on the college placement test. Harvard finds out about their high scores and actively recruits them. How High has no plot, no moral message, and the acting is rather bad. However, the cinematic experience will produce some hard laughs and smiles.
