Summary: It's Just a Movie....
Review: Some of these reviews are unreal. It's like "Gambling annonomous" members were given this movie to review. It's a movie. This stuff does not happen in real life. That's why it's a "$@$&@#$ Movie."
Maybe if you step away from the slot machines for a second, you'll realize it's fantasy. Just good ol' fun at the movies.

Anyway, great fun. Better than "European Vacation', but equal to "Christmas Vacation."

Oh by the way, as far as reality goes...Russ and Audrey look different, don't they??(as they have in every damn one).
IT'S A MOVIE...DEAL WITH IT !!!!!

Summary: What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas!
Review: I went on a trip to Vegas this pass November, so being a Chevy Chase fan, my Mom knew I would love this movie. I got this for Christmas along with several other Chevy Chase films. In this movie Clark Griswold takes his wife and two kids to Vegas where they get into LOTS of trouble. Things don't really go right for Ellen, played by Beverly D'Angelo. (Her best work since COAL MINER'S DAUGHTER) And the kids are always stealing, gambling and acting up. If you like Vegas, and you like Chevy Chase, you'll also LOVE this movie.

Summary: Better than Christmas Vacation 2
Review: Although unfortunately Randy Quaid was still in this, and annoying as ever, what with his over greased hair!!!

I found myself enjoying this movie, although I agree with another reviewer, in the fact you would enjoy it more if you'd actually been to Vegas. I haven't. Nowhere NEAR infact. But the person I was watching it with was actually saying he'd sat at this bar, and been there, and done that etc. So it would be easier if you'd been there before. But it kept my attention for most of the film. Which makes it a whole lot better than Christmas Vacation 2!

Two of my favourite scenes in this is where Audrey's dancing on top of that big sign, just cos she's so funny, and although it's corny dancing, it looks like fun! Also, the little in-joke where Clark tells Rusty and Audrey that he hardly recognises them anymore, a reference to having different actors play the Griswold children in each of the four movies. I actually GOT that bit, so I was quite proud of myself. In this movie Rusty and Audrey are twins (making them the same age) in the first two Vacation movies Rusty is the older sibling and in Christmas Vacation Audrey is the older sibling.

If you're a fan of Friends (I'm a sucker for spotting these people!), look out for Larry Hankin right at the end, when Clark & Ellen get re-married, he marries them. Who's he again? He was Mr Heckles in the early series' of Friends!

What really shocked me about this movie was how much Chevy Chase has aged. He's getting really grey and drawn around the face.

If you like the National Lampoon movies, you'll probably enjoy this one, although I still can't stand Randy Quaid as Eddie. Ugh.

Summary: Vegas Vaction(1997)*****GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!
Review: When I first heard of this movie,I have to be honest but I thought this movie was going to ruin the series. But i was completly wrong. This movie was a fabulous additon to the vacation series. This, time the Griswolds hit up the Fabulous Las Vegas. This time they travel by plane. As always, they run into more trouble, AND cousin Eddie.Clark also tries his luck the whole time trying to beat this dealer(played by the great Wallace Shawn), who is very good at blackjack. Clark loses about 22,600$ i believe. In the end he gets his money back , and they go back home to good old Chicago. SEE THIS MOVIE

-Watch for the scene where there at the Houver Dam, at Clark almost gets killed.Funny stuff

Summary: CHEVY IS AGING BUT STILL FUNNY
Review: The Griswold family returns in the fourth of the series of Vacation films. While Vegas vacation is no classic, it's a nice comedic diversion and better than European Vacation (which isn't saying much).

Clark decides to take the family to vegas even those his kids Russ (Ethan Embry) and Audrey (Marisol Nichols) are not old enough to gamble. One note here...has anyone noticed how in the first vacation film Russ was the older child but then in the next two Audrey was, but now in the fourth, Russ is back as the oldest? So much for continuity...

Anyway, once in Vegas, Clark quickly becomes the victim of a smart-ass blackjack dealer (Wallace Shawn)who always beats clark. While Clark loses the family savings, the rest of the family goes off in their own direction with Ellen meeting Wayne newton, Russ using a fake ID and winning every game he plays, and Audrey hanging out with Cousin Vicki.

Oh..and of course RAndy Quaid is back as the dumb, loser, but still hilarious oaf Cousin Eddie. There are some hilarious scenes such as Clark getting lost at Hoover Dam and taking part in Siegfried and Roy's magic act. Also, Clark visits the bottom-of the barrel casino that plays games like, "pick a number from 1 to 10) or guess what hand its it.

It's all pretty silly but then haven't they all been? Christie Brinkley is back in a cameo as the gorgeous woman in the Ferrari, Wayne Newton plays himself, Sid Caeser and Julia Sweeney have bit parts as well.

A good 90 minutes of fun.

Summary: A lot funnier if you've actually been to Vegas...
Review: I am a huge fan of the original Vacation, and the third movie Christmas Vacation, and have been for years. (The second film, European Vacation never really hit home with me...)

When I went to see Vegas Vacation in the theater I arrived with high hopes, but left with very mixed emotions. I wanted to like the movie, but there was something about it that I just couldn't connect with.

One year later I went to Las Vegas personally for the first time. After my trip I rented Vegas Vacation to give it a second chance, and ended up laughing my head off. There was so much more that I could relate to after having been to Sin City. It turned this movie from a ho-hummer to something I had to own. I'd still put it in third place behind my two previously-mentioned favorites, but I do find it to be a very funny movie.

I'd recommend this to anyone who has been to Vegas and can appreciate the jokes that are made about the city and the tourist experience. If you haven't been, you may find yourself a bit disconnected with this movie.

Summary: The title says it all!
Review: Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo as Clark and Ellen Griswold and their two children take another vacation. This time to beautiful Las Vegas,Nevada. No celebrity there is bigger than Wayne Newton who appears as himself in the film. The son manufactures a fake ID to gain entry into the Las Vegas casinos. But it didn't always work. He was evicted several times. Randy Quaid again supports Chase and D'Angelo as the brother of Clark or Ellen. We hear songs recorded by the late Dean Martin and the late Frank Sinatra. Martin and Sinatra were top performers in Vegas themselves. This film is for those who love to gamble and Nevada residents. I highly recommend this one.
