Summary: Sublime Ecstasy Permeates this Classic
Review: Lucas is a stunning film about the hopes and dreams of anyone who has ever been young. The dazzling desire to be with the perfect person is mixed with the dangerous bite of reality. Corey Haim goes beyond mere acting and places Lucas in his heart. He is Lucas and there is no other way which the character could have been successfully imbued with a warmth and a fervor for the good things in life. Not to watch this film is a travesty in which the individual will suffer from never knowing how heart rending and beautiful adolescent movies can be.

Summary: Half/Half
Review: Ok, Lucas, a 14 yr. old nerdy boy, falls madly in love with an older prettier cheerleader (who ends up dating a football player). Meanwhile, a cute girl is into Lucas and he doesnt notice. What's he do? Like a typical guy he tries to impress the cheerleader, so he joins the football team. What happens? He almost ends up dying. To make matters worse, he still doesnt end up with the chick by the end of the movie. I gave this movie 3 stars because Lucas was cute and i would of gone out with him because of his persistence and innocence...whatever. Um, also I like the shower scene he did...'cause it was funny, that's it, ok!

Summary: A very cute enjoyable movie!
Review: One day, when I was sick, my husband told me that his favorite movie was Lucas and that I should see it. I agreed and expected a sort of 16 Candles, John Hughes-type movie, but I was pleasantly surprised that this movie really did have heart. I enjoyed that it didn't paint a person as evil or perfect, but showed that everyone has a mixture of both, even the title character is kind of annoying. I really reccomend it.

Summary: Unforgetable Lucas
Review: The year I was born had many great movies including Top Gun, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Stand By Me, and of course Lucas. This was one of the more touching movies I've ever seen and it made you just want to be poor Lucas'(Corey Haim) friend. I really didn't see any flaws in it. Kerri Green and Charlie Sheen also had really good performances. I will not forget this movie soon because it's really touching. It's a film that says don't change who you are because you're wonderful and someday people will love you for that and it's okay to be different. I'd recommend it to anybody who has been the the oddball and just needed to be accepted somewhere. This film should have gotten more praise in the 80's because it really deserves it. See it-you won't regret it--I know I sure didn't.

Summary: A wonderful coming of age movie...
Review: This is a very well made movie. The above reviewer was probably Lucas-like in real life and couldn't stand to remember his adolescence.

Summary: A review from Mr. Entertainment Lover
Review: This is another one of those movies that you wonder why it is still in print. All this film is about is a fourteen year old science geek who falls in love with a gorgeous cheerleader. However she is in love with someone else. Anyhow the cheerleader and her boyfriend try being friends with Lucas. Is Lucas grateful? No all he can do is whine and complain and make everyone miserable. He is one of those characters who only think of themselves. Don't waste your time on this one.
