Summary: Remember When You Were A Teenager? You Will...
Review: Although I am doing this a bit hesitantly, I can't help but to give this movie 4 stars! This film captures the spirit of the 80's, but it is also relevant to the lives and feelings of teenagers in the new millennium.
It's not the best movie I've ever seen, but "Dream a Little Dream" has quite a good script and motivating music that fits the film well. Corey Feldman did a great job in this flick, and it's bound to capture the heart of any teenager, movie buff, or 80's junkie. Do you remember when you had that annoying love-hate relationship with your parents? Do you remember your first love or perhaps that special someone that you lost? Do you remember that punk who always bullied you and talked (...) about you? What about your "so-called" friends? If your answers to these questions are mostly "yes", then this is the film for you!
"Dream a Little Dream" really is a heart-rendering movie that captures the essence of adolescence. Definitely worth renting. Enjoy!

Summary: Good feeling from good entertainment
Review: As one of the many positive 80's movies, this rates at the top because of the interesting storyline, great combination of acting, memorable soundtrack and well exicuted cinematography. It is likely to appeal to those who are romantic at heart, but also holds a place for teens learning to deal with their weird parents and the rigours of school life. I have worn out one video copy, just a shame it isn't available in PAL format anymore.

Summary: Sneak some variety into your soundtrack collection.
Review: At first glance, the "Dream a Little Dream" soundtrack was a track we thought we'd never hear again. After all, it was targeted at a miniscule audience: Corey Haim and Corey Feldman were a tag team aimed squarely at GenXers in the eighties. This soundtrack gave the movie a big boost of sophistication by getting away from the techno-hip-I-just-bought-a-new-synthesizer genre of the mid-eighties.

The "Into the Mystic" track is a beautifully recorded acoustic by Van Morisson, an actual studio version that surpasses the one on his "greatest hits" album. Also adding some prestige to this album is Otis Redding's "I've Got Dreams to Remember." (This song really made the movie's most mental scene work.) This is a song we'd never remember to buy if we were browsing for something on the shelf: Sometimes a good album lures you into good music.

When it does play some of the music of its time, this soundtrack gives you two songs that stand for the good things about eighties music: End of the World by R.E.M. cooks the way it ought, and the lyrics of "Time Runs Wild" remind you just how tough it was to be a kid, which may (or may not) have been the theme of the movie. It finally combines the old and the new with its second version of "Dream a Little Dream", where a fifties-style singer duets with an eighties-type singer. The contrast is almost educational.

Let me sum up this soundtrack this way: I bought the cassette back in 1988 or so because it had R.E.M.'s "End of the World". That tape being history, I want the CD because of Van Morisson and Otis Redding. How's that for some sophistication?

Summary: Dream A Little Dream Indeed...
Review: Awe inspiring. That is my basic review for the film, "Dream A Little Dream". Now, here is my review for a soundtrack that is, much like its film counterpart, often over-looked and under-appreciated. The film stars our boys Corey Feldman and Corey Heim, who were, in my opinion, two of the best teen actors of the 1980's. I saw this film about a year after it came out, and the soundtrack is, in part, what attracted me to this film. My favorite song in the movie... Well, I have no real favorite, but a few high ranking pieces would have to be "Rock On", "Dreams Come True", and "Where is She" (a title which, sadly, is not included on the soundtrack, and as far as I know, was never released on CD. The artists behind the song were Blue Future). The "Dream A Little Dream" rock themes were extremely nice to hear, and I love both variations. This film is a true gem, as is the soundtrack. If anyone who loved this film reads this, take my advice and buy this soundtrack. (Hey, this is coming from a guy who listens to the Offspring and the occasional Rob Zombie. Trust me when I say that ANYONE can enjoy the music of "Dream A Little Dream, young and old alike)

Summary: 80s music [that is great]!
Review: Every song on this cd is fantastic. My all time favorite is "Time Runs Wild" by Danny Wilde (track 2). This song represents the good music of the 80's. It's a powerful AOR Rock song that captures the atmosphere of 80's America to perfection. Mickey Thomas (former Starship singer) does a brilliant rendition of the title song and there is a fab song by the under-rated Lone Justice."Whenever There's A Night" by former Loverboy singer Mike Eno is powerful and emotional but unfortunately the album does not have "Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades" by Timbuk3 or "Where Is She?" by Blue Future (both appear in the film) but its excellent nevertheless. Especially, as said before, "Time Runs Wild" (masterpiece)!! Other gems that appear on this album are classics by Van Morrison, REM and Otis Redding and there's two fab new power rock songs sung by Fee Waybill and Chris Thompson - as well as the US number 1 hit single "Rock On" by Michael Damian.

Summary: "School's that way, buddy! Yonder!"
Review: Excellent movie; but a little confusing to watch the first time through. I had to watch it a few times to really understand it, and even then there were a few holes that left me even more confused.
That aside, this is a great film... definitely ahead of its time. This film has a mix of romance, comedy, drama, science fiction and spirituality that I've never seen in another film.
If you can find it, get this movie. You will not be disappointed!

Summary: The 80's at it's finest! Not to be missed!
Review: I saw this movie when it first came out... I"ve owned the soundtrack on tape and now on CD... I've bought the movie used from a video store when I couldn't find it new - and I hope that it will somehow get onto DVD... The movie is a must see if not a must own.. the Soundtrack is a MUST OWN for sure... one of my fave's of all time with it's ONLY problem being that it doesn't have the song "Where Is She" by Blue Future on it - if you've seen the movie, you know the song... other than that it's near perfection... another great soundtrack "The Lost Boys" ironically another Corey/Corey tagteam hit...

Summary: A must soundtrack. An 80's special
Review: I watched this film a couple of years ago on VHS and loved the soundtrack. After searching for a long time, I managed to find a copy at a record fair and loved the content. For anyone who grew up in the eighties, this is your typical type soundtrack filled with power rock ballads. Do not hesitate to purchase this item
