Summary: Is it worth it?
Review: For $13.50 you get 5 episodes - one of which (the first Xmas special) is already on the Season One DVD and another (Mr Plow) which will be on Season Four (whenever they release it). Marge Be Not Proud (Bart gets busted for shoplifting at x-mas) was left off for whatever reason. The only special feature is a Mr Burns featurette. It's much like the Kodos and Kang featurette on the Treehouse of Horrors dvd - nothing special by any means. I also found the response time on the menu screen annoyingly slow as it is on the THoH dvd.

But it is only $13.50. If you just like to enjoy Simpsons episodes on dvd in all their uncut splendor and clarity then it's a good cheap temporary fix while we wait for Season 4.

Summary: Not Very Christmas-y
Review: Fox really should have planned this DVD better. The first episode on it, the ancient 'Simpsons Roasting Over An Open Fire', is already on the Season 1 box set so why would we want it on this? 'Mr Plow' will be on the Season 4 set and really has nothing to do with Christmas aside from the fact that there is snow in the background. 'Miracle on Evergreen Terrace' is a good episode tho despite the stupid ending, which has become mandatory in recent seasons. 'The Grift of Magi' is another recent episode that is more full of cynicism and forced attempts at satire than an actual story. There are some laughs but I feel guilty watching any recent Simpsons as it has LONG lost its charm. 'She of Little Faith' is an episode starring Richard Gere as himself and has NOTHING to do with Xmas at all until the last few minutes.

I'm very disappointed with this DVD. Fox could have selected the episodes better. Such us 'Marge Be Not Proud' when Bart is caught shoplifting. That could have been included instead of the incredibly old first episode. Its mere presence reduces the value of this DVD severely.

The DVD is in 1.33:1 as drawn with Dolby 2.0. The only extra is a 'Best of Mr Burns clip' which shows all the worst bits of Mr Burns strangely enough.

Summary: Please view the disk before reviewing it.
Review: I have the disk bought it September 30th. The reviews I read so far are from those who have not viewed the dvd and those folks don't even have the dvd features correctly. People please wait til you have an item in hand before reviewing it.

Here's the line-up:
Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire
Mr Plow
Miracle on Evergreen Terrace
grift of the Magi
She of Little Faith
Mr Burns Finest Moments Featurette

I viewed half of it so far.

You get 5 episodes and 1 special featurette. You get Christmas (or snow) related episodes all on one disk. These people who are writing think that everyone is going to go out and purchase each seasons box sets at $40 each. Hello people?!?!? I for one am glad that Fox has put out single disks with episodes on it. And most of these episodes have not been released yet on DVD.

I salute the idea of a special Christmas DVD. Bet next year a volume two comes out. Getting all these episodes for such a low price was a great deal. And one of my favorite Simpsons episodes, Mr Plow, is included. My only gripe is that the Mr Burns featurette is only 3 minutes 20 seconds long. If you are thinking of buying this dvd for the featurette don't.

Highly recommend for everyone except maybe those that will buy every Simpson box set that Fox puts out.

Summary: Hilarious
Review: I loved "The Simpsons" right from the first episode I ever watched (1997's "The Cartridge Family"), and I already have the first season on dvd (hope to be getting the other 2 really soon). Anyway, I got "Christmas With The Simpsons" on Christmas, and I admit that I hadn't laughed that hard in ages. The show's witty humor comes out full - throttle, and every episode is sure to warm your heart.

The first episode of the dvd is possibly the most significant episode in the series. "Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire" was the very first episode of the series. It aired originally on December 17, 1989, and television hasn't been the same since. In this premiere, Bart gets a tattoo. Homer must spend the Christmas money to get it removed, but he's not worried because he has his Christmas bonus to look forward to. Until his boss Mr. Burns decide to cut it. Their Christmas in limbo, a friend recommends that Homer go to the racetrack to bet on dogs. But he bets on the loser, a mutt named Santa's Little Helper. But the day is saved when Homer and Bart adopt the dog, and it's the best Christmas present they ever got.

"Mr. Plow" really has nothing to do with Christmas, but it's still my favorite episode. Homer starts a successful snow plow business called Mr. Plow. He makes a goldmine of cash. His best friend Barney Gumble thinks that by copying Homer, he too can be a successful human being. It turns out that Barney's business, Plow King, is even more successful than Homer's (Linda Ronstadt even appears in a comercial for it). Gripped by jealousy, Homer pulls the ultimate revenge plot on Barney. But soon, he realizes what he did was wrong and saves his life. My favorite episode.

"Miracle On Evergreen Terrace" is my seconnd favorite. Waking up early to get first dibs on presents, Bart accidentally burns down the Christmas trees. With the gifts turned to a fiery ash, Bart burries the remains in the front yard and says that burglars stole everything. The town feel sorry for them and, in a direct take - off of "It's A Wonderful Life", gives them gifts and money. But soon, the truth is discovered and the town takes all their stuff.

"Grift Of The Magi" ties with "Simpsons Roasting on An Open Fire" as my favorite. Bart is put in a wheelchair, forcing Springfield Elementary to build a ramp for him. But the school is unable to pay for the construction. A corporation takes over the school. Much to Lisa's dismay, they stop teaching and ask kids rediculous questions about toys. Lisa and Bart soon discover that they are using the kids to help design Funzo, the perfect Christmas gift. They soon dicover that Funzo is programmed to destroy all other toys. The kids go off to save the day - with help from Homer and special guest Gary Coleman, of course.

"She Of Little Faith" is my least favorite because it has Richard Gere. Homer and Bart destroy the town's church with a model rocket, and Mr. Burns turns it into a casino. Lisa is disgusted and becomes a budist with Gere's help. The end.

I highly recommedn this dvd. It will fill your stocking with holiday spirit!

Summary: This movie is ok
Review: I will go ahead and say anyone who plans on or already has the full season simpsons boxsets doesent need this because you already got the episodes, so theres no point in buying them, but for people like me that dont pay 40$ for the box sets and just want to see some christmas episodes this is a great dvd.

Episode 1 Simpsons roasting on a open fire- As soon as you start this episode you can tell it wont be that funny because it is one of the earlier simpson episodes, but if you're in for a good old fashion simpsons christmas go ahead and give this episode a try.

Episode 2 Mr.plow- One word hilarious. this is by far the best episode on the dvd. This episode alone is the worth the 12.00$ I paid for the movie. With guest voices by adam west and linda ronstant it makes the episode even more funny, one thing about this episode is it's not about christmas, the only thing related to christmas in this episode is the snow.

Episode 3 Miracle on EVERGREEN TERRACE-This episode is probley in my book the 3rd funnist episode out of the five, but I must admit its probley because I seen it so many times. There are funny parts in this episode though like the guest voice of alex trebek.

Episode 4 Grift of the magi. This episode just like mr.plow is also hilarious the 2nd funniest on the dvd. What tops this one off is defiantly gary coleman which is by far one of the funnyiest parts on the episode and is also by far the best guest speaker on the dvd. You should defintly purchase thie dvd for mr.plow and grift of the magi

Episode 5 She of little faith- She of little faith is only a little good it has very funny parts but the storyline of the episode is the stupidest on the dvd. the guest speaker on the episode is richard gere which isnt that funny. (why every time lisa is in the spotlight of a episode the episode is so stupid)

special featurette Mr.burns finest moments-Do not buy this movie for the featurette because it is only like a minite long and the finest moments arent even streached out over all the seasons.

Summary: Don't bother, unless you're giving a gift
Review: If you're looking for a gift for your favorite Simpson's fan, this is a good gift. If you're a Simpsons fan shopping for yourself, don't bother. The only extra is the "Best of Burns" which doesn't include any of the best of Burns.

Summary: Yet another Simpsons DVD...with poor picture quality
Review: It's a good collection for loyal Simpsons fan. For the low price, you can't really complaint. Fox tries to make money off the Simpsons left and right. This is just one of dozens of DVDs released in the near future. However many viewers will find, like the already realsed Simpsons box sets, the picture quality just doesn't measure up. It looks more like VHS quality than DVD. Just want to say to Fox...please re-digitalize the picture before releasing them.

Summary: Un bon divertissement des fêtes

1. Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire (Homère au nez rouge)
2. Mr. Plow (Le chasse-neige)
3. Miracle On Evergreen Terrace (Noël d'enfer)
4. Grift Of The Magi (Le Père Noël est un escroc)
5. She Of Little Faith (Sans foi ni toit)
