Summary: very creative
Review: big is one of the most creative films ive seen in years and has an added in subtle comedy to it. good for any funloving person who knows what its like to be a kid.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: HUGELY ENTERTAINING
Review: Penny Marshall knows comedy, and this warmly sentimental fantasy proved she could deliver hugely commercial entertainment in a delightful way. Tom Hanks is absolute perfection as Josh, and each player succeeds brilliantly at bringing to real, vivid and always amusing life the simple, child-like story. Mercedes Ruehl had one of her first big breaks here as the mom. You will love this movie.

Summary: Bigger and Bigger...
Review: One of the early steps on Tom Hanks's journey to the annals of the Great Actors of the 20th century, this movie was, in a word, terrific. It had terrific acting, a terrific plot, and terrific writing... Tom Hanks is one of our national treasures, so to speak, and his portrayal of a 30-year old kid is dead on. This movie is one of those highly recommended ones every family should see.

Summary: He pushed the fast-forward button on the remote of his life
Review: Very imaginative, well-made comedy about a young boy who got tired of his subordinate role and wished for (and received) the chance to live like an adult. This is really the first of Tom Hanks' better roles; "Big" proved to everyone his talent belongs in movies and would be wasted in TV shows like "Bosom Buddies".

Summary: An enjoyable comedy!
Review: Tom Hanks is great in one of the many parts he was born to play! When 13-year old Josh Baskin (Hanks) makes a wish to be big, his wish unexpectedly comes true and he has to find the the machine that gave him the wish while being stuck as a 30 year-old! As the story unfolds, Josh is forced to get a job. Using his great knowledge about toys, he lands a job as the vice-president of a toy company. Ultimatly, he finds the machine and has to either give up his colleague, and girlfriend (Perkins), or give up his family. A cute romantic comedy is a real treat, and has some very funny sequences. See this movie!!

Summary: It's well-made, but...
Review: I feel that the humor, plotline, character development, and pathos are all first rate, as well as acting, script and direction. However there is NO WAY a young boy can experience what young Josh does in his foray into adulthood (particularly in the bedroom) and ever be able to return to the innocent joys of preadolescence. I find it disturbing, but then again, this is Hollywood we're dealing with. Unfortunately, this concept ruins my enjoyment of all the other positive assets

Summary: A Must-see hit for Hanks fans
Review: This was the best film I had seen of Tom Hanks until "Forrest Gump" and still I consider it to be equal to "Gump". The chemistry between Hanks and Elizabeth Perkins is perfect and the laughs are endless (don't miss the scene where Josh [Hanks] comes home and his mom [Mercedes Rheul] goes hysterical on him). "Big" is the kind of movie that makes everyone feel like a kid again.

Summary: Its one of my favorites...
Review: Tom Hanks is PERFECT for this movie! He brings out the little kid in all of us. The scene where he "loses his innocence" wasnt needed (in my own opinion)...otherwise, its one of the best feel-good movies you'll ever watch!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must see movie for Tom Hank fans.
Review: If you can't find that little kid inside yourself, then this movie will. Tom Hanks played his part perfectly. A great combination of comedy and lost innocence. This movie is definitely for those who refuse to grow up. One of my all-time favorites.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Really Sweet Movie!
Review: I love this! It's so sweet! If you've ever been hounded to take out the trash, you'll love it as much as I did!!!
