Summary: Sexiest movie EVER
Review: 9 1/2 weeks is without a doubt, THE SEXIEST FILM EVER MADE!!! I am so in love with Mickey Rourke in this movie--I can't even begin to tell you. It is an art film--very visually appealing, sexual, mysterious, and intriguing. I love this movie and I definently recommend it!!

Summary: That birds and bees joke
Review: 9 1/2 WEEKS reminded me of that birds and bees joke. That's where the Dad told the son about sex in very graphic terms, finishing by asking, "Have you got any questions?" Then the kid says, "Yeh, Dad. How do you keep from laughing?" Well, this movie was a little bit funny about the sex parts. A guy on a bar stool sort of blushed when Basinger and Rourke engaged in some foreplay at the bar. Mostly, however, the movie "story" was demeaning to women. It was not entertaining. It was boring. I give it two stars because of the locations. The movie shows off a side or two of New York City, and the evening photography was excellent.

Summary: A story of an Obsessive, Lustful Romance that Lasts for¿
Review: 9 and a ½ Weeks Cleverly does away with the usual Subplots that come with the Territory. The Film is Virtually Devoid of Action and Suspense (I say "Virtually" because this statement can be debateable depending on opinion), even Dialogue seems to be a Hindrance to the story, so there's not a lot of it. The Writer and the Director obviously wanted to focus Solely on the Romance at hand, and boy do they delve into it.

They stock the film with Beautiful Images, Intense Scenes and Debateable Content. What looked on the surface to be a Trashy Sex flick turns into a study of Obsession and Lust. The Attractive Leads really take in their roles and the Attraction is Believable at all times, Mickey Rourke was at his Prime and Kim Basinger was an Up-and-Comer.

No Supporting Character stands out as no one bar the Leads gets the screen time to be Memorable. The Direction is always Competent and the Cinematography is Superb. The fact that the film sparked such Controversy and Debate on release proves it's more than just Trash it IS Art.

Summary: A dirty movie
Review: A story about sexual obsession.

Much similar to Showgirls, this movie shouldn't have been made. A terrible, degrading movie with a not-so-good plot.

Summary: A stunning, daring journey into sexual obssesion
Review: After watching 9 1/2 WEEKS, I realized that the movie is very serious about it's subject matter. Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke develop perfect sexual tension, and the movie turns out to be both erotic and interesting. It's also not campy and has some smart dialogue.

Summary: A must have dvd...
Review: All i have to say is this was one of the best erotic movies of the 80's.

Summary: 9 1/2 weeks
Review: Almost a hundred of 9 1/2 weeks have passed since this movie has become my favorite of all. It still is.
It's 9 and a half weeks that John's relationship lasts with the most attractive Elizabeth. It's 9 and a half weeks of a true love experience Elizabeth and John have but it's Elizabeth who feels that true love as for John and his show off Wall Street man personality all this seems to be a true game. He plays up with Elizabeth's feelings up to the moment when he loses her forever and sadly it is then that John realises how much he really loved her too.

It's definitely not a porn movie, and if it includes erotic scenes so what? Don't we all make love that way when we are in love as badly as John and Elizabeth are? But people as people they always tend to see bad things before the good ones and in this movie there is not one single bad thing (it's just people have to say something different from others) excluding John's silly games with the love of his life.

Absolutely a must have movie.

Summary: Soft Core Sadism?
Review: As a dirty movie, God, does this thing deliver. There's an over top sexaul encounter staged about every ten minutes or so, and they're all shot like shampoo commercials, with lots of soft light and sensual music. You'll be so caught up in watching it that the iniatial nature of the relationship being protrayed won't bother you until the end of the film. Then you'll begin to wonder: should this kind of sadism be so erotic and glamourous? Should this kind of disrespect to women be so enjoyable to watch?

Summary: Hands down( sorry for pun) best erotic DVD video ever....
Review: As an avid reader of erotic literature, it's certainly understandable that most erotic books could hardly be put on film without the cast and producers being immediately and summarily jailed by the powers to be.

However, this DVD of top notch entertainers, both in front and behind the cameras, have managed to develop those super elements of eroticism, of pursuit, capture, and ultimate submission of the mind and body that give spice to the sex and sin of it.

Zalaman King, as one of the team that produced and wrote the screenplay, and soundtracks by Grace Jones, Eurythmics, and Joe Cocker, not to mention the wonderfull acting skills of Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke (don't let preconceived notions of Mickey cloud your judgement in this DVD)makes this DVD a star packed sensation cut by masters.

It follws that the technical production of this DVD is blue blood quality and of course it's widescreen, dolby digital etc etc ... nuff said ...

In the story our hero(Mickey,) meets and then seduces, Elizabeth(Kim B,) and then leads her on a wild and woderfull erotic journey of the heart, mind and the body. Elizabeth does not understand this and has trouble with this magical mystery tour since she has never met a wealthy, gentle, caring man who is a master of all flavours of erotic delights, and, he has the patience to court, woo and gently seduce our heroine .... (BTW it's true those men don't exist, so, if you want reality, stop reading here and forget this DVD ... LOL ) ......

The erotic seductions scenes are skillfully done, and, the scene on the kitchen floor where Rourke feeds Bassinger a luscious assortment of foods is probably the best food erotic scene ever filmed. Trust me, there aren't many of todays actress stars that would allow the camera to get in that close to their faces as Bassinger did while literally gobbling up those dleights that she should get an academy award for that performance ....

Finally, I would venture to guess that most men would not enjoy this movie, (they wouldn't have the patience and besides that's why they invented porn) but, I can assure you, that if you are a woman and reads romance novels you'll, love it, and, here's the best part, if you are a woman that enjoys erotic literature, well then RUN and I mean RUN and buy this DVD cause like I said, hands down, (or whatever) it's fabulous and you won't love this DVD you'll gobble it all up ......

Summary: Kim Basinger fans beware...
Review: As you probably have guessed from my review title, I am somewhat of a Kim Basinger fan and so the extra star I'm giving for this review goes to her. She has the looks and the acting skills which pretty much gaurantees success for any actress. So I was up one night channel surfing and I came across this 9 1/2 Weeks movie. I figured since there was nothing else on I would go ahead and watch it. Well, despite the bit of sleazy content I couldn't really identify what the actual plot was. My only guess is that Mickey Rourke is trying to get Kim Basinger to see the erotic side of art pictures along with having a relationship with her that is only based on sex. Aside from this mediocre plot, the rest of 9 1/2 Weeks seems to drag. I can't imagine the sequel to this movie being any better or any worse for that matter.
