Summary: "Everybody be cool: You be cool."
Review: This is one of my favorite movies. Low on story, pretty low on character development, medium on acting, high on entertainment, gore, language and nudity. This is vampire movie, but not "yet another vampire movie." It is a vampire movie with style. The beginning and the ending are the most entertaining in terms of action, and middle, while no action at all, is still cool to watch. This movie made me a fan of George Clooney and Harvey Keitel. Warning to all viewers: this movie has a lot of language and is completely filled with gore, hence a vampire movie. All the characters, George Clooney, Quentin Tarantino, Harvey Keitel, Juliette Lewis, and Cheech Marin play thier parts to satifaction. Clooney and Tarantino are excellent as thieves, and Keitel is wonderful as a retired preacher. This is recommended to all action and horror fans, but not fans of an incredible story.

Summary: ITS A DARK NIGHT
Review: From Dusk Till Dawn is about two brothers (Clooney-Tarantino)
who are cons and are trying to get across the border so they take
a family hostage and spend the rest of the night at a bar called
the twister.

But once there they realize that the hosts are actually vampires
who are hungry for human flesh.

George Clooney does good in his role as usual-and Taratino is cool too!

Summary: Tarantino / Rodriguez rocked!!! Ebert don't know much....
Review: Okay, let's face it...Tarantino kicks as usual, Clooney takes a different turn by PUTTING them in the ER for a change,
Keitel got soft here, Lewis is OK, (but still not my dreamgirl),
Trejo is the man again, the dude with the "Assault on Precinct 13" t-shirt has come and gone, but the flick is still on the shelf in the "kick ..." section!!!!
Must confess, the concept of the Gecco Brothers on the run is far more interesting than vampires, which have been reused and reabused for the last million years!!!!! Still loved it thanks to the double DVD including "Full Tilt Boogie" (aka "The making of From Dusk Till Dawn") See this flick !!!
Just as much as I'd ... to see a prequel of Reservoir Dogs showing the fouled robbery, I'd ... to see a prequel of this one showing the Gecco Bros demented killing and hostage spree.
Oh by the way, ramblers.. leave Dusk 2, 3, 4, and any other ... on the dusty shelf, right next to "Pay It Forward" and "Scream 2, 3", maybe even "1" !!!!!!!!

Summary: Great Horror Comedy!
Review: I'm a Horror fan myself, but i say this is " The Best Horror comedy ever made". It's about two dangerous Outlaw Brothers
( George Clooney and Quetin Tarantino) who take a Father
( Harvey Keital) and his family Hostage, and forces them to hide out in a mexican Bar that unknown to them is owned by Vampires.
A well-made Horror Action Comedy filled with Snappy Dialog, Hard-Hitting Action and buckets of Graphic Gore.

Summary: Awesome film
Review: This is probably my favorite movie ever (based on how many times I've seen it), the cast is great and the story line is very good. It gets a little corny in the second part (fighting vampires and all) but overall impression of the whole movie after you see it is just GREAT !!

Summary: could have been much better
Review: This film tries to be too many things at once.
It could have been a straight crime thriller
in the Pulp Fiction Tradition or a failed preacher versus
vampires flick...the film starts out VERY strong, in
good Tarantino/Rodriguez fashion. But when the vampires
start showing up it just doesn't work for me.
...Not that it wasnt amusing/entertaining...especially the "disco ball of death" at the end---but the strength
of Keitel's character and the character development spent
on his children seem like a waste of time.
Cheech Marin provides some comic relief playing 3 separate
characters...and Salma Hayek is too much of a doll-face to be
believable as a evil character...she is drop dead beautiful but doesn't pull off the "bad girl" image at all. She should stick to playing good-guy characters. They could have done a lot more with the Tarantino charater's psychosis--which was very interesting/twisted; But again, it seems wasted in the movie.
It seems like this film was rushed to production before Tarantino & Robert Rodriguez could come to agreement on what kind of film to do and they just made a movie out of the parts of a lot of different movies they WANTED to make. I wish they would've taken their time and just made a separate crime thriller...this movie seems like the rough-draft of what became _The Way of the Gun_. This movie was disappointing because it could have been so much better. I'm not remotely interested in any of the sequels.

Summary: A Landmark Picture
Review: From Dusk Till Dawn is so many things a comedy, black comedy, dark comedy, horror movie, action movie,. It bracks down the doors of most horror movies and puts in a little bit of everthing a good scrip and direction help with the feel of the movie. Just don't watch 2 and 3 those are just horribal direct to video B pictures. But the orignel is landmark in all the ways I just told you. The DVD is great to its very well put together. The film is extremely ultraviolent and is not for kids. This is one of the most violent films of all time and is for adults only.

Warning: This film contains Extremely Graphic Prolonged Ultraviolence including rape, graphic language, disturbing imiges, and extremely gross out Gore. THIS FILM IS FOR ADULTS ONLY

Summary: It's dynamite!
Review: I saw the Siskel & Ebert TV review of this film before it came out, and even though their review was lukewarm I knew I wanted to see it. I saw it, I loved it, I bought a copy of it! Its strange schizophrenic split in the story development is one of the exciting characteristics about it.

Summary: A good ol' vampire flick!!!
Review: I don't know why so many people put this movie down. It's a good
movie. Sure it doesn't have the best acting but it's still good. It's blood soaked and good. I own it on DVD.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Entertaining Movie with plenty of DVD Extras
Review: This movie starts out as an outlaw type movie with two guys on the run. It definitely has the feel of Pulp Fiction in certain scenes early on in the movie. George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino are that their best in this movie. The story is excellent and moves along at a good pace. There are plenty of sub plots and decent character development. Things really pickup and take a different turn at the bar in Mexico. The movie then switches to horror mode. There is plenty of dark humor throughout this movie and it is very original. The acting is superb from the entire cast and the movie is very enjoyable to watch. This movie is not for children or the faint of heart since there is plenty of violence and gore. This is definitely George Clooney's best piece of work other than O'Brother Where Art Thou. As for Quentin Tarantino this is his best work other than Pulp Fiction. The 5.1 Dolby audio track is spacious and the rear channels as well as the sub woofer are utilized frequently throughout the movie. The Non-Anamorphic widescreen transfer is above average with only slight color bleeding and only in the darkest scenes. There are plenty of extras with this version. The second disk contains the documentary Full Tilt Boogie. It is approximately 90 minutes long and very interesting. It presents the making of the movie from various aspects such as Assistant Director, Grips, and even the food service crew.
