Review: "The Queens of Comedy" is the female companion piece to the vastly superior "The Original Kings of Comedy." If nothing else, it shows that the women can be just as raunchy and profane as the fellas. But this DVD lacks much of the sharp-edged wit that made Kings of Comedy such fun. Instead, we have these four ladies (a term I use rather liberally in this review) get onstage and get filthy for the sake of being filthy. Now, I like a little raunch as much as the next guy, but there's very little grace or spark in any of their performances. The concert reaches its nadir when Mo'Nique performs towards the end. I was absolutely stunned to see what a foul brain this rotund beast has. Somebody get this sister a brillo pad and Ajax to wash that filthy mouth! A (former) friend of mine insisted that I watch this DVD, as he swore left and right that it was way better than "Kings." Oh, was he so very wrong. Unless you want to watch a disaster unfold before your eyes, this concert is an affair to avoid.

Review: After watching the Queens I asked those with me what was funnier ....The Kings or the Queens ....the response......They are both good but in different ways, the content, ambience, the audience present - VERY DIFFERENT. I thought it was very funny Adele was the funniest, the host was mediocre and Sommore and Monique were very entertaining...Yes the sexual content was a dominant feature but it was not crude and distasteful (well maybe once) but it was the audience that made the at home viewer doubt the quality of the comedy (as we South Londoners say " They were so DRY!!!!!!) I don't know if they came straight from church but it seemed they all felt guilty for laughing. And they were old ... and everyone knows you shouldn't cuss in fornt of grown folk so that kinda kills the vibe. As a 22 year old I thought it was funny ..., don't expect a great Bernie Mac performance but do expect a good time!! Go on you can trust me

Review: Child be a SONG!! This movie will make you laugh till you burst. Instead of going out and buying one of those AB things that shock the heck out of you. Order this movie. Your abs will be hurtin' when this movie is through and the laughter doesn't fade after the 5oth time watching it.

Review: Dis movy is halarious!!!! So much bettah dan "Kings". You'll get, addicted 2 this if u luv dirty, perverted comedy. Although, Eye don't think Adele's Left Eye From TLC joke is that funny anymore since Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes (RIP) was killed in a car accident in April 2002. But Hey, what do u expect. Adele filmed this movy b4 Left Eye was killed. Da Queens talked about sex 2 much. If u like this movy, u need 2 buy da soundtrack bcuz dere r some jokes that r not in the movy such as Adele's "Entertainers On Noodles", Sommore's "Rodney", Miss Laura's "Smoking Weed" "Paranoid Roommate" And "F-#$ It 40's". Da soundtrack also features music from Kelly Price, Gladys Knight, Patti Labelle, Monifah f/ Murphy Lee & The ST. Lunatics, and Chante Moore.

Review: Do yourself a favor and stick with the Kings because this mess is a waste of money. The majority of the jokes are sex related & full of cursing. These things could be excused if they were funny! But this is far cry from it.

Review: First so you know where I'm coming from, I am a full time stand-up comedian. This is a total slap in the face to all that is respectful in comedy. Comedy clubs suffer low attendance because audiences think this kind of garbage is what's being said. Stay away from this filth. When these ladies learn to write a joke consisting of the setup-punch format, I'll give them another chance.

Review: Hey this show was hilarious. I mean it discussed some deep sh.. but they kept it real with true comedy and lots of laughter. Although it was full of explicit language it was still a good show to watch as we did with Kings Of Comedy only this show is filled with the funniest bit.... in time. So if you haven't caught it on Showtime then I think you should order it today along with The Kings Of Comedy for your at home enjoyment.

Review: I decided to see this because I saw the Kings Of Comedy and liked it a lot,so I decided to watch this.It was one of the worst hours I spent of my life.It is just four black women who rely on cussing and sex jokes to get laughs.I don't mind cussing,but using it to get laughs is pointless.I bet that "Left Eye" is rolling over in her grave because of these jokes.They are just plain degrading.Miss Laura really needs to stop taking off her wig all the time,Adele needs to learn some new phrases other than "I'm such a f***ing lady".Monique also needs to learn some new jokes that aren't about sex.Once they follow my advice,I wouldn't mind seeing a Queens of Comedy 2.In the meantime,stick with the Kings.They are much better.
