Summary: If your stuck in science class it would'nt be bad.
Review: This movie is not a cross between Monty Python and National Geographic. It is an old documentary about some toads that took over Northern Australia. I was expecting alot more after reading the reviews above. Stick to National Geographic at least its current.

Review: This movie is very hurmous and I recommend it for those who are in a different genre of comedy. I will stress that this video is not appropriate for viewing of grade schoolers

Summary: Cane toads Funny
Review: This movie was educational, but what I liked about it most was the people. I could hardly stop laughing at (or rather with) the down to earth people of Austrailia. If you want to learn and laugh at the same time, buy this movie!!!

Summary: Oh, cane toad, my cane toad
Review: This video is absolutely incredible and keeps its viewers interested until the very last nanosecond. I personally was rolling on the floor with laughter. I was jumping up and down with excitement. I am a cane toad video addict and I think about it every day. Cane toads haunt my dreams every night. There are so many good times in the movie that i cannot even name them all. However, I WILL TRY. First of all, my favorite part, is the wonderous sound of the cane toads popping as they are run over by the man in his van. POP POP POP. The little girls who used the cane toads as dolls and even made clothes for them were also of particular interest to me. I quote one little girl when I say, "Sometime I call him Greeny, sometimes I call him Red, sometimes I call him Cane, sometimes I call him Dairy Queen." Dairy Queen is my personal favorite of all these names. All of the dramas played out in the movie were FANTASTIC and the producers could not have picked a better selection of music. However, I was appalled at the scientist who did an impression of the cane toads' mating process. What was he thinking, "Hmm...lets see if I can attract some female cane toads, because lord knows I can't get any other women"? Well, I will not reveal any more of the video's extravagant details. You will have to buy it for yourself.

Summary: documentary schmockumentary
Review: What happens when a team of film makers starts making a film about toads and ends up with some of the most unbelievable interviews ever caught on film. are these people for real? The story may be about Cane Toads on the surface, but it is truely a documentary about the bizarre and hillarious people of northern Australia and their love hate relationship with this strange fat animal. This film will change the way you think about documentaries. Truely a cinematic Gem. not just for biology class, fun for the whole family.

Summary: Very hilarious video, but didn't have much of what I wanted
Review: When I got this video, it was off of someone who told me of a very interesting scene. This scene was of a mouse being eaten by a cane toad.

Now I imagined what it looked like, but the real scene was much cooler. This mouse was only a little smaller than half the size of the cane toad, yet the thing ate it up in a few huge gulps!

The mouse was stupidly wandering around the cane toads thinking that since they're toads, they won't eat him. However, he soon wandered in front of one who was hungry. The thing came flying out of a can and gulp the mouse up. It was gruesome because the mouse's head kept popping out! Satisfyingly gruesome, but gruesome nonetheless. At one point, you would think it was over, but then the freaking cane toad open his mouth to reveal the mouse is still there! The toad took one last swallow and it was done!

The scene freaked me out, but I loved it. I had gotten this movie to see scenes like that, but unfortunately, that scene was one of a kind. However, the implication was frightening.

Supposedly, these toads don't ever stop growing. The more they eat, the bigger they get. That toad the little girl kept as a pet scared the hell out of me. What the hell was she feeding him? That thing probably swallow cats. Looking at this video, it makes me think that there's a good chance that cane toads are the snails of Austrailia. Whereas Amerian boys like to torture snails with salt or stab them with sticks, Austrailian girls like to swing giant cane toads around and tickle them as if they're dolls. Who knows? Maybe she just likes it because it jumps around and make noises unlike her Barbie dolls.

Anyway, the movie is pretty cool. If you ever see it at your local renting store, pick it up. Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention. In the credits (at about 45 minutes into the movie), you can see a cane toad chasing a group of pigeons. Oh Jesus, how I wish I could have seen the result of a cane toad catching one.

Summary: Whoda Thunk it!
Review: Who would ever believe a DOCUMENTARY about CANE TOADS would be entertaining? Well I have a NEW favorite movie after watching this hilarious video. The corniness is unbelievable, which is what makes it so great! I HIGHLY recommend this video if you're a wierdo who appreciates strange not-so-deep humor or a nature lover looking for a laugh.

Summary: Could a governmental authority be mistaken?
Review: Years ago, an insect infestation devasted the sugar cane crops. Natural enemies were thought to be a "harmless" solution. Well, the result is a living legend. Some love 'em - some hate 'em. There are those who were disappointed that the government wouldn't fund a large statue to honor them. The friendly, entertaining lives of the Cane Toads of Queensland, Australia are the subject of this riotous set of interviews with folks who have all sorts of opinions. One serious absurdity! Definitely Five Stars.
