Summary: Liberal Media a Myth
Review: This documentary is excellent as we witness Pelosi's first hand experience on the campaign trail of then Presidential candidate George W Bush. Contrary to the belief that mainstream media is liberally biased, we see that the reporters who traveled with Bush tended to favor him personally, and therefore were reluctant to seriously challenge him. We also understand that any questions that were considered challenging resulted in "punishment" from George W Bush. If he didn't appreciate a question (for example with regard to his execution record as Governor of Texas), then he would clam up and the reporter would not be able to get any access to futher information for reporting and stories. On the other hand, we learn that the reportors on the campaign trail with Al Gore, found him personally unlikable - and Gore's reportors therefore tended to cover him in a more negative manner. It is astounding that these men and their personal ability to charm carried a greater influence than policy or governing beliefs when it came to coverage by the media. This DVD is a must see...I found Bush's behavior personally revolting. He reminded me of a spoiled frat boy who always thinks he's the funniest guy in the room when we know he's not. Now this man is the Leader of the Free World. It's quite concerning to say the least.

Summary: Best documentary I've seen
Review: This is a must see for Democrats and Republicans. Among other things, it gives incredible insight into what happens between a presidential candidate and his press circuit, and how that relationship can be manipulated to produce the candidate's desired results. This was well worth seeing when it first came out, and worth purchasing to share with others.

Summary: Funny, informative political documentary
Review: This is a rare behind the scenes look into the dynamics of a presidential campaign from its infancy to its victory. More importantly, it provides a glimpse into a very real--and often overlooked-- aspect of President Bush's personality, namely, his great sense of humor, his playful and teasing spirit. This is an essential aspect of Bush's charisma, what endears him to many, what has been frequently characterized as his "folksy charm."

During the 2000 campaign, Bush could have never imagined his presidency would be highlighted by two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the War in Terrorism in general, launched in response to the most deadly attack on US soil by a foreign enemy, 9/11/01. His role during these somber and serious times assumed one of commander-and-comforter-in-chief, enabling other aspects of his personality to lose center stage focus. Alexandra Pelosi's documentary therefore serves as a breath of fresh air.

Bush teases Alex repeatedly, especially concerning her relationship (or lack thereof) with "Newsweek Man", and surprisingly comes to her rescue and defense in the aftermath of newspaper revelation of a poll Alex took among her fellow members of the press. The poll, taken in good fun on a plane, revealed that Bush's own press corps were skeptical of his chances. The results were leaked to the newspapers, and Alex was embarrassed to confront not only her fellow press members, but her boss- Governor Bush. To her great surprise, and utter relief, Bush not only wasn't upset, but called her aside for a touching private moment. Elsewhere, when Alex receives more birthday cakes and well wishes in honor of the occasion from Bush and his staff than from her own network at NBC, she wonders if she will begin to lose his journalistic objectivity! That the daughter of Nancy Pelosi and the descendant of a long line of Democrats is being drawn to Bush can't be a good thing! What will her mother think now? Another amusing segment is Bush's "rules of engagement" lecture to Alex, prompted by a "below the belt" question she asked of him concerning Texas' high number of executions.

All in all, this was an entertaining documentary, insightful into presidential campaigns and the down-to-earth hilarious personality of the 43rd president of the United States of America, one filled with rare footage.

Summary: I I Could Have Been There
Review: This movie is an interesting look at the personalities that define the public persona that is seen. This movie won't change any minds, it'll simply support whatever love or hate that a person might have for the President. It does show him in a very personal light, and does a good job at presenting Pres. Bush as a person.

Summary: This Movie Is Great!
Review: This movie is great! It captures the wild pace of a presidential race. While Director Alexandra Pelosi is a liberal Democrat, she presents a fair and balanced view of George W. Bush while he was a candidate, and while he could be more relaxed and less scripted than he is now as President.

Regardless of your politics, this movie is a joy to watch. It is a must-have for any political junkie.

Thank goodness it is now coming out on DVD. Don't miss it!

Summary: A day in the life of Bush during the 00 campaign
Review: This story documents President Bush's 2000 Presidential ampaign. It is filmed by NancyPelosi's (california rep. the house minority leader) daughter. It was nice to see president Bush just being himsself. He was charming, charismatic and filmed doing normal campaigning activities nut acting for the camera. Being a stong Bush supported I may be a little biased but I had some liberals watch it and thy enjoy it as well. Pelosi does a good job especially with all the bias people expected her to have b/c of her mom. It shows things like day to day activities on the campaign trail. The president even remembered Pelosi's birthday. Check it out.

Summary: Go get this!
Review: Whether you like or dislike President Bush, this movie is a good watch. While other reviewers claim this film refutes the idea of a liberal media and how Bush wouldn't talk to reporters who threw him hardballs, it simply isnt the whole picture. Back in the 1930s when FDR had a press corps, he would throw them off the boat (literally) and into the water if they were unfair. Being on his campaign bus(or FDR's boat) is a priviledge, and its good that most of the time Ms. Perosi knows this and stays within her bounds.

I found President Bush to be remarkably charismatic and charming, and his humour to be playful and friendly. What one may call being a selfish frat boy, most others would call a real personality. This film serves as a good reminder of how politicians aren't really God like untouchable people, but that they do in fact stain their shirt, have their tie crooked, and enjoy cheetos and bologna sandwiches.

Buy this movie and enjoy it, in time it will be a great way to look back upon elections past and, like others have said, its very unlikely that another film like this will be made.
