Summary: Just the Facts
Review: (...)

"A solid, intelligent rebuttal of Michael Moore's wildly uccessful polemic prepared and released in time to make a difference. The film was produced by a group helmed by the veteran political operative Dick Morris, one of the slippier characters on the current political scene, but that should affect judgment of the content not at all.

Flaws include an overreliance on right-of-center talking heads, a few of whom come across as strange, others as droners. Exceptions include Frank Gaffney, a man who knows whereof he speaks, Ann Coulter, who fires one broadside after another with all the bounciness of a twelve-year-old (no wonder they hate her so much), and ironically, Dick Morris himself, who evidently had his sincerity button pressed long and hard on 9/11. Ron Silver, the veteran character actor who has caused some dismay in the industry over the past year by acting like a man with a brain, provides a welcome dash of professionalism.

But the meat is contained in interviews with private figures misappropriated or otherwise abused by the people's tribune. These include the Florida teacher whose classroom Bush was visiting at the time of the attack, with a very eye-opening tale of media manipulation to tell, and the relatives of a dead soldier whose funeral footage was commandeered by Moore, excoriating both his
methods and message.

Above all, there's the kid whose hands were blown off in the Blackhawk chopper maintenance accident, who got to star in Moore's film with neither his knowledge nor permission. This footage is both astonishing and deeply moving. Here's a guy who at a young age has suffered more than most people will in a lifetime, who feels neither regrets nor bitterness, and would do it all again if that was required. Nothing places Moore's cynicism in clearer perspective than this, the spirit of cheerful sacrifice, supposedly alien to our epoch.

A number of technical problems exist. The first two rental disks refused to play, leading to dark muttering of left-wing sabotage from friends. The final disk contained several flaws, such as the
screen suddenly turning black and white in the middle of interviews.

But though FahrenHYPE 9/11 is not as well made as Moore's opus, has no extras, and will be seen by only a fraction of Moore's audience, the old saw about substance versus flash remains true. If you want the facts, this is where you'll find them. If you want entertainment... you know where to go for that too."

Summary: Just Excellent
Review: Being a huge fine of MM like I am, I just bought this package on a whim. I was not disappointed. The package has "The Big One", "Bowling For Columbine", and a separate DVD about "Dude, Where's My Country" tour that he did last year.

The Bowling for Columbine DVD has 4 hours of extras including his Oscar acceptance speech and interviews. In the separate DVD, MM talks about how we need representation in our congress - like if there are 10% Greens(Independants, democrats, etc) in the U.S. - there should be 10% Greens in congress, he also talks about looking at other media sources besides the U.S. to find out what's actually going on here because our media doesn't tell us or ask the questions that they should.

Bowling for Columbine is about gun control and The Big One is about corporate downsizing and greed. Moore's work is always stuff which leaves you happy, thoughful and full of will to make a positive change. You will learn a lot!

Summary: Hey all you Michael Moore Haters!
Review: I dont think anyone wants to know your opinon on the man just rate the movie. If you have something to say to him or about him go to his web site, this is not the place.

Now i think all his films are very informative if you look at them through objective eyes. I know more now about these topics (ex: the war on Iraq) than before i saw his movies. If you hate these movies just ask yourself, "Is this the truth or more true that what you get from FOX news or ABC?"

Summary: A Rich, Shameless, Self-serving Fraud
Review: I keep writing reviews for FAHRENHEIT 9/11 but I think I've been blocked. Of the few that's made it online, they only last a couple of days before they're yanked.
Am I being censored by the same blowhard who bellows that HE'S being censored with an Oscar in one hand and the Cannes Grand Prize in the other?

Moore just won "Favorite Film" or something at the People's Choice Awards--even though his "documentary" was the 16th highest-grossing film of 2004.
Like everything else he does, it just stinks of fraud and self-promotion.

Summary: I liked the conspiracy element
Review: I liked the movie for the conspiracy element that Moore plays on. Kind of reminded me of the 'Who shot JFK' conspiracy stories which have been floated for years on end. F911 has lots of twists and turns and some reasonably good editing. One thing which is consistent between both is the lack of credible evidence and the solid foundation of truth. Moore takes the `anti' Bush role to heart and poses some interesting questions but takes the answers out of context or uses selective/creative editing to create answers which fit the question.

I guess it's a theme which plays to a select crowd: Those who hate Bush, believe Elvis is still alive, and aliens have visited earth. Good for a hoot but little else.

Summary: A must see!!
Review: I rented this movie to see what it was like. I will buy it and recommend everyone to see it!

Summary: Truth
Review: It's so silly how Michael Moore is criticized purely based on what trashy Fox News watchers see on TV. They claim that his works are fictious anti american jabble, when in reality he encourages people to pirate the movie & then goes on tour giving speeches full of well researched facts FOR FREE. Clearly, this man is doing it all for the money.

If his words are so insincere, why has the president not sued him for slander?
And why can't anyone slamming the movie ever make any specific reference? It's always a general statement about michael moore being one explictive or another, and never about something he actually says. Could it be, maybe, that they don't even know why they hate him?

Summary: That's gotta hurt.
Review: Leather Wing would only buy this if he ran out of toilet paper, because, you know, a dvd makes good toilet paper (maybe it's why he's so grumpy).
I would suggest purchasing it and watching it. Michael Moore may be more to the left than some, but god, hasn't anyone ever considered watching everything with a speculative eye? It's less biased than the news is - he reports, you decide, and most of it is things that should have been covered by the news in some fashion, but weren't.
Michael Moore is far more honest than the Republican talking heads (Rush, Coulter, Hannity). Watch, enjoy, investigate further.

Summary: Michael Moore loves the People of the United States
Review: Michael Moore's film "Bowling for Columbine" was incisive and thought provoking. As usual, Moore draws no specific conlusions from the facts he presents. He allows the viewer to draw their own conclusions. Moore's presentation of hard, cold facts may be unpleasant for those that prefer a system of blind faith over rationalism. Those individual's that adhere to principles of honest, open, and rational discourse will find any film (or book) by Moore to be interesting introductory material to any social, economic, or political issue of contemporary importance. Moore has delivered another brilliant analysis of the crises facing the citizens of the United States.

Summary: Garbage
Review: Rants from a socialist in denial. Only thinly veiled lies, half-truths and distortions, packaged as documentary. I'd only pick this up if I ran out of toilet paper. After I rented Bowling for Columbine I returned it to the store. They gave me my money back for the rental but if they had given me twice the rent price back I'd still feel ripped off.
