Summary: WELCOME TO THE BIG LEAGUES - HDTV progressive scan
Review: ATTENTION: This DVD player is for the next generation upgrade to the world of HDTV (WIDESCREEN) Progressive Scan Home theatre!!!
The good news is we now can enjoy our DVD experience even more with better clarity, color and sound.
The bad news is we must decide if we want or can we afford this "BIG League" world of Progressive Scan.
Here is the bottom line, The Toshiba SD-6200 w/Super Color Stream Pro, Progressive Scan w/component video, HDCD sound is the player to have for this upgrade. The SD-6200 offers the "BIG LEAGUE" base for the HDTV (WIDESCREEN THEATRE) System.
Note: Progressive Scan must have an originator (SD-6200) and a compatible receiver (HDTV w/Progressive Scan) for the magic to happen.
Toshiba is the leader in great DVD players and this is the greatest for those who are in the HDTV progressive scan mode.
For the non-Progreesive Scan Users Toshiba makes a great DVD player with Colorstream Pro and nice capabilities (SD-2150).
Good Luck!

Summary: Very Good Player
Review: I already had a DVD player for my computer and it performed really well, however I wanted something for my home entertainment system. This product delivered. It surpassed any picture quality that I have seen so far--only to be rivaled by movie theaters. The menus and options will take a little practice to get used to, however, the remote control comes in handy with its navigation buttons. Sound is definitely great on this player, when good speakers are attached to the player. Overall, this is an excellent buy.

Summary: Nothing but the best!
Review: I bought this DVD player about more than year ago, and one year later it is still the best buy that I have seen on the market.

A. The picture quality of movies and DVD's is nothing less than outstanding
B. The mirad of options, from slideshows, to zooming, to memory, wallpapers, screensavers, and the awesome video game like intuitive controller make watching DVD's nothing less than a totally engulfing experience.

C. Some of the new cheaper DVD players pause and skip due to the amount of data on the DVD...this player has never skipped a beat..plus the dual tray comes in handy for those double DVD movies that seem to be released for every hit these days.

If you have a little more money to spend on a quality DVD player, then get this..it accepts all major connections, and when hooked up to a 5.1 surround sound set and a nice TV, you will have no need to go to the theaters!!

Summary: Solid Performer
Review: This system offers great picture quality and the convenience of a dual tray system for those double feature nights and/or playing CD's. The remote control is easy to use and provides great scan and zoom features. The sound quality is amazing......Truly theater like. As has been mentioned by others, there are only two small annouances with this model. 1) When you turn on the system or open one of the tray's, if there is a CD/DVD in the system, it will automatically begin to play.....with certain DVD's you cannot stop it from playing until it has played through the Copy Write Warning and 2)the system automatically shuts off after 20 minutes of inactivity. These are very minor and would not sway my purchase decision.

Summary: Great Player
Review: This unit is a upgrade from an original Sony, what a difference. The picture is perfect especially when used with Colorstream connections (And Toshiba 55" TV). Great audio with surround sound 5 channel connections. Remote takes a little to get used to though. All round good performance.

Review: works real well
havent had a single problem yet in 2 months.. its just sad to hear that toshiba is discontinueing the production of it

the only thing i dont like about it.. which u can get used to.. is the remote tv volume controls

after a few uses they get where u gotta push hard to get the volume to change (or at least it seems this way)
