Summary: Great Buy
Review: A word to the wise- research, research, research. I bought a Phillips and it was really bad. i returned it for this one, and its way better. The zoom is by far the coolest feature. It looks nice, its fully navigatable w/o the remote, and it says 'hello' when you turn it on. The only downside is its kind of slow, but its not annoying. Also, the remote is comfortable, with open/close,and disk change. DTS for great sound (if you have a DTS receiver). All in all, its a good cd/dvd changer for the price. Good luck.

Summary: Bad apple
Review: Bought this DVD from Amazon as a result of the reviews. However, once connected to the TV, the unit began opening and shutting the disk drawer and wouldn't stop. On top of that when I was able to load a DVD and some CD's the display keep saying "NO DISK". Amazon was great, send me a UPS sticker to send the unit back. Unfortunately they could not replace it. So am shopping for a Sony.

Summary: Highly recommended
Review: Great Player so far. Have watched a couple movies--Lord of the Rings, Star Wars--flawless viewing. It plays DVD-RW (have had success with Sony and Memorex DVD-RW discs burned from Sony DRU500A). I have it hooked through a Sony Receiver and the surround sound is excellent. Have yet to try the MP3 function. Appears to be a great buy. Highly recommended.

Summary: Superb Quality
Review: I had a Toshiba SD-2200, so I decided to go with Toshiba once again - and I wasn't disappointed. In preparation for a widescreen TV purchase, I decided I needed to upgrade to Progressive Scan DVD player as well. I hooked it up to a 57" Hitachi widescreen with Monster Component Cables, and the picture is flawless! (Make sure you flip the switch on the back of the DVD player to Progressive Scan AND do the same in Setup on the screen). I have it hooked up to a JVC receiver with optical cable for surround sound, and it sounds awesome. I have also listened to regular CD and MP3 as well. The only downside is that it seems slow when turning it on and loading a disc. However, I can wait if it's going to look and sound this good!

Summary: Simply the Best!
Review: I wanted to get a DVD player that could hold multiple DVD's and have outstanding picture quality and sound.
I first tried a Panasonic model but did not have much luck with that. Then a friend of mine told me that Toshiba invented the DVD and makes some of the best players on the market.
I loved this thing from the momment I got it. It comes on and says hello. It has great surround sound and the picture looks so good it is almost surreal.
Definitely pick this DVD player and you will be extremely happy.

Summary: The Best DVD Player I Have Seen!
Review: I wanted to upgrade my old DVD player, so I picked up this Toshiba multi-disc player.
I am quite happy with it. The picture is incredibly sharp hooked up to my High-definition tv. I am able to take advantage of the progressive scan.
The sound was so good that I used this player to replace my CD player, and now I just have one player for my DVD's and CD'S.
It really is made well, and works flawlessly, and unlike other instruction manuals this one is easy to follow.
This is my first Toshiba product and I am really impressed. I would highly recommend it.

Summary: Nice and Easy
Review: I was looking for a simple to use DVD player with progressive scan and 5 disc capability.
This player fit the bill and rated rather highly. The manual is very easy to use, almost "idiot proof".
The player was able to play all my burned CD's and MP3's with no problem and I hear that it can play some burned DVD's as well. Not bad.
The progressive scan has a jaw dropping picture on my High Definition TV, and the sound was fantastic as well. Try the surround sound, and you will feel like you are in the movie theater.
I would definitely recommend this product.
