Description:

Zenith's budget DVD player goes beyond the basics, offering both S-video and high-quality component-video outputs (for use with compatible televisions) and picture zoom, as well as CD-R/CD-RW and MP3-CD playback for enjoying home-made CDs. The unit also offers parental controls, 20-track programmable memory, and a bookmarking function.

Video Features
The DVB211's component-video output is ideal for use with the latest high-resolution televisions (and a standard composite-video output works with most older TVs). Picture zoom enlarges (two levels, 4x or 16x), while variable high-speed scan offers fast-forward and reverse viewing at up to 100 times normal speed.

Audio Features
The DVB211 is compatible with standard CDs, audio CD-Rs and CD-RWs, and discs encoded with MP3 audio files. (CD-R/CD-RW playability may vary depending on contents and discs.) A 96 kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converter ensures optimal decoding of all disc formats. The player simulates surround-sound effects using only two speakers, so you'll still be able to appreciate a sense of surround sound even if you don't have a surround receiver or six-channel speaker setup.

Connections
In the video realm, you get the works: standard composite-video, S-video, and premium component-video outputs (switchable between S-video and component-video). The DVB211 gives a coaxial digital-audio output to feed a surround-sound signal to a Dolby Digital-decoding or DTS-decoding AV receiver. When used with a compatible receiver and six-channel speaker system (left, center, right, left/right surround, and subwoofer), the player puts you in the middle of the action. It has a single set of stereo RCA analog audio outputs as well.
