Summary: difference between men and boys is the lessons they learn
Review: now that i seen the movie i like it very much. i thought it was going to be fishburne's childish attempts at box-office sucess but it is a good movie blythewood did a very good film well acted(even though my girlfriend thinks lisa bonet was miscasted) eye candy for the ladies with all the beefcake brothas and the action and sexy ladies for us fellas. even though it meandered a little (with the father discovery)i was entertained, the movie is based on african-american biker clubs that sprang up in l.a. in the last 10 to 15 years so to you negative reviewers who say this can't be true i reminds of those people who said the movie bommerang wasn't true bollocks. i liked it and hopefully there will be no sequels it ended nicely.

Review: Ok, I like to watch Street Racing, and all that mumbo-jumbo, but this movie was kinda dull. Im not going to compare this to The Fast and the Furious, because this movie was totally different. Many will think it's like it, only because it involves Street Racing, just like The F & The F. Anyways, instead of this movie being about CAR Street Racing & Crimes & Stealing, kinda in the field of Fast & the Furious, this movie involves BIKE Street Racing, more racing, and some trash-talk, and a really boring storyline. This is like watching Wrestling with Storylines as there is a dominent guy, and everyone is challenging each other to Matches or "RACES." Included with a storyline. Ok, I know Wrestling is very different from Street Racing, and i am a wrestling fan, but thats what the movie is basically about. SMOKE played by Lawrence Fishburne or however u spell it, is the KING OF CALI, and is Champion of their Racing Divison. Basically you will see a dude start his own team, and try to prove he is as good as smoke. Dawg or Dogg (which way they spell it) played by Kid Rock is your average BAD GUY who is also after ending Smoke's run. Whoopie do right? Exactly. I wont tell the whole movie but it really really lame in my view.

I gave it 2 stars only cause the racing is the only thing worth watching, THATS IT!

Rent this or borrow it, but dont buy it and expect it to be a masterpiece.

Summary: Either love it or hate it..
Review: Simply put...You will see more action in one of the other stunt DVD/VHS. You had to stretch your imagination concerning somethings espicially if you know anything about motorcycles. The director focused more on the story than on bike scenes and if you go in expacting that you may enjoy the movie

Summary: Slow, boring and inaccurate.
Review: The biker subculture depicted in this movie doesn't exist. Yes, there are several real biker subcultures -- Motocrossers/Dirt Riders, BIKERS (Hells Angels/Banditos Harely Riders), RUBS (Rich Urban Bikers - Doctors and Dentists on Harleys), Club Riders (weekend riders of various brand cruisers and tourers), and Crotch Rocket Riders but this movie doesn't show them. They think they are showing crotch rocket riders, but but I doubt anyone in the movie really rides. It makes a typical Hollywood mistake of mixing dirt riding and street riding (remember how, in MI2, the tires magically changes from street slicks to trail knobbies on Tom Cruise's machine mid-chase?). Same phony stuff here. In one race the rider jumps a berm on his Hyabusa. Ha!! Good way to destroy a great bike (there is not close to enough shock travel on these bikes for that). Fishburn's helmet magically changes from an open face helmut to a full face helmet when he closes the lid. Other riders are using motocross helments with no face shield and racing at 170 MPH. Good way to die when the wind streams tears from your eyes and rips the helmet from your head.

No rider Fishburn's age with a grown son will drag race on the street. He got to be that age by not being that stupid. There are old riders, there are bold riders, but there are no old, bold riders.

Bad Dialog. No Plot. Hollywood version of biker subculture. Bad movie.

Summary: Finally! A racing movie that has a story!...
Review: The Fast and the Furious doesn't hold a candle to this movie. See, this movie actually has a STORY, a PLOT and GREAT ACTING. And then there's the racing scenes which aren't CGI enhanced, but REAL bike stunts. What more could you want in a movie? This movie has nothing in common with F&F, nor does it try to be a clone. Comparing the two movies doesn't hold water. If you want a shallow, badly acted action movie then go watch something like F&F---but if you're looking for an alternative that doesn't leave you feeling empty at the end then this is the movie for you. I had doubts when I read reviews, but when I saw this movie for myself I just had to come on here and speak my $0.02. Don't pass up a chance to see this movie. It's definitely 5 stars.

Summary: movie could have been better
Review: The movie could have been better if there was more races, and stunts. I dindnt like the fact that they had put all the love scenes. They should have stuck with more races and stunts. I am a motorcycle enthusiast and have an 03 Cbr F4i. I could have made a better movie with my video camera at bike nights here in los angeles. The cast played the characters well in the movie. I rate the movie poor but enjoy watching the motorcycle scenes

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Let's be realistic
Review: The movie for what it is is a good movie. Not everyone rides a motorcycle to know the differences. The movie is just to introduce you to something that non-bikers may not know existed.A sub-culture of people from various lifestyles getting coming together through motorcycle riding. As an African-American it was nice to see a movie that was not a gang banger movie, typical romantic comedy/man bashing movie. If this movie came on tv, would i watch it? More than likely. Will i buy it on dvd? YES. Was it entertaining? To me yes. To crotch-rocket riders, they may no like it, but to the average person that always wanted to ride a bike but never have they make like it. Kind of like the Fast and the Furious, when it came out and people that already where doing there cars like those complained about it being unrealistic, or Barbershop being unrealistic. Just enjoy the movie.

Summary: 0 stars actually...
Review: This is the worst movie I've ever seen. I am a rider, and this movie is all fiction. When it came out, riders were worried, thsi movie will make us look dangerous and give us a bad name. It makes us look stupid. If riders acted like this I would quit. I at least hoped the stunts would be good enough to be entertaining, but nothing I haven't seen before. Yea, jumping streetbikes and riding on the dirt, really hilarious. The funeral got me mad too. I know riders who go to funerals, you ride there is a group and stay quiet, show some respect. You don't all rev your engines and try to upset the family more. This movie disrespects everybody who rides on two wheels.
