Summary: Predictable but good !
Review: The movie may be predictable, but they could have not picked a better cast to be a guide for young adults in showing them that taking a change in life while your young is OK. Do things you desire while you have the time to do it. Don't be affraid to get out and explore life befor it is too late!

Summary: Worst Hockey Movie Ever Made.
Review: This is a story that any true fan of hockey would be embarrassed to watch. Here's the summary of the plot: Wimpy Gretzky-type, teen heartthrob (Rob Lowe,) gets roughed up by bigger, tougher players, and then quits like the wimp he is. Will he sum up the courage to come back and be a man? Will he get the girl? Will he get his revenge on the evil, thug-like enforcer? Puh-leez! This plot is so formulaic and unrealistic, it should be a case study for screenwriters on how NOT to write a script, and it should be shown to young hockey players as yet another example of Hollywood's continued ineptitude when it comes to portraying the sport of ice hockey in a realistic way. One only needs to look at the climax (one of the most pathetic and ridiculous climaxes in movie history) to understand this. I gave it 2 stars because some of the hockey action is fun to watch, and seeing young stars before they made it big does have its attraction. But trust me. This plot is so weak, you'll want to throw a dead octopi at the TV screen. (That's a Detroit Red Wings reference, to you non-hockey folk out there.)

Summary: One of my all-time favorites.
Review: This movie is on my top 10 list of favorites. Leonard Maltin called this movie 'boring'. He obviously wasn't watching it for the reason it was made - pure and simple entertainment. A great movie I enjoy watching time and again.

Summary: Great Hockey Flick
Review: While this movie is probably best reserved for extreme Hockey Fans, it also has a certain flare that makes a person realize how pure the game of Hockey really is. I saw this movie when I was younger and it a sparked a desire and love for the game that is with me even today. Hockey is the only sport left in which players play with heart and passion for the game, and this movie is excellent at betraying that feeling to it's audience. I personally enjoy this movie at least once a year (to get me in a Hockey mood) and can't wait to get it on DVD!
