Review: Another reviewer said some people missed the point of this movie... Well I didn't miss the point.

The point of this movie is not to be a fictional movie but some sort of instruction video for those who are left behind after the rapture that some Christians believe is coming.

The fictional elements of the movie are interrupted by scenes where Pastor John Hagee declares that this, in fact, will happen, becaus the bible tells us it will, and when it does, you better be a Christian and be saved, and don't trust the evil European politician that will become some kind of world president and say he's the Messiah, because he's really the Anti-Christ.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to see this movie, and certainly not to spend their money on it. If you think you need an instruction video about what to do when the end is near and that the televangelists who made this movie needs more money than they already have - go ahead and buy it, but don't say I didn't warn you.

Summary: Capital D for DREADFUL
Review: Cloud Ten Pictures' "Cut and Paste's" from older productions (specifically the underwhelming shot on video 'APOCALYPSE')and comes up with this uninteresting mess. Kind of like what Hammer Studios did with WORLD OF HAMMER but much less successfully. John Hagee (who is a preacher) narrates some scant new footage which amounts to about (maybe) fifteen minutes. The rest is stuff from old films like I said before. [...]. If I wanted to watch APOCALYPSE again I would. This DVD and whole production is an exploitative way to cash in on already completed projects and market it as something new. Well it may be new (sorta). But it is definately boring and John Hagee is not terribly charismatic. I don't want to criticize him as he obviously means well but this DVD come's across to me as a bad joke. Amateurly executed and just plain not worth the [...] price. I would avoid this re-hash at all costs. When they pull this nonsense on sit-com's at least you don't have to pay to see old footage constitute at least 40 minutes of a 55 minute production marketed as a NEW product. Definately the weakest production by anyone I have seen in years. I want my money and my time back. Hey Cloud Ten, I love your movies, but get it together will ya, no one wants to sit through this kind of hum drum drivel that is supposedly entertainment. I like to be entertained, not TALKED DOWN TO! This thing was obviously scripted to the LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR...maybe if my IQ dropped several points I could possibly have enjoyed this. If you are interested in the extremely important topic of Biblical Prophecy try any other Cloud Ten Film on the subject but definately leave this stinker on the rack. I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE I ACTUALLY PAID FOR THIS!!!![....]

Summary: A Witnessing Tool
Review: I purchsed Vanished looking for another great movie from cloud ten and ended up with a great witnessing tool; if it helps to save one lost soul it is more than worth it's weight in gold! I gave it 3 stars for how well it is put together. The transitional sequences between the movie and John Hagee could have been done better. I rate it at 4 stars if you are buying Vanished for a witnessing tool.

Summary: A Lifevest to Those Left Behind
Review: Most of the reviewers have totally missed the point. If you read the "Left Behind" books, or watched the "Tribulation" series movies, you saw that the believers leave a video to tell those left behind where they have gone, what is going to happen in the tribulation, and how to receive Christ as their Savior. This DVD is similar to those videos. So, it is not really a movie in the traditional sense, it is a movie for believers to purchase to leave as a message. It doesn't really have a plot line, a hero and heroine going through trials and tribulations, etc. However, if you are a Christian you should ask yourself, if the rapture happens, would I want my loved ones to know what happened to me, how to join me, and what to make of the Anti Christ? If so, this is for you.
