Summary: The greatest sports movie of all time.
Review: I have watched this movie it seems like a hundred of times. What can be said? In a movie with stars like Rob Lowe (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me), Patrick Swayze (Road House), and my favorite character in the movie, the goaltender, Keanu Reaves (Speed and The Matrix). Can you ask for a better cast. And remember: The only thing better than a cold beer...is tea with Ms. McGill.

Summary: Action on the Ice
Review: I really enjoyed the movie because I thought that (Racki)George Finn was the best hockey player in the movie. He was the only one that knew how to skate because he was the only one that knew the game. I was wondering what ever happend to him? I would love to see him in other movies.Patrick Swayze wasn't to bad eather.

Summary: Yougblood?
Review: I saw the movie several years ago. I have had the pleasure to skate with George Finn. He actually ref'ed in our adult league in upstate NY. He is a great guy.I thought that the movie was worth seeing as it depicted the area and settings of junior hockey quite well.

Summary: A must buy.
Review: It is a decent movie, even if you don't like hockey. Personally though, I'm going to buy it because Cynthia Gibb is a babe. Liked her in 'Short Circut 2' but she's way cuter in this one. I am also seeing kind of a similar plot theme in a recently released football movie. The coach wants everything done his way, etc. But, again, I have to admit I'm going to buy it simply because of Cynthia Gibb.

Summary: Keanu
Review: Let's not forget that Keanu Reeves is the French-Canadien goalie

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: TERRIBLE
Review: Looking at this movie, one wonders if anyone involved in the production had EVER seen a hockey game. The "action" moves at a snail's pace and I really don't think there's a league out there that lets two players hold what looks like a boxing match at centre ice. The only redeeming quality of "Youngblood" is the scenes that are so bad they're funny - specifically, any time that a young Keanu Reeves tries to speak in a french accent. This movie is truly terrible, the hockey scenes are a joke and the plot is as cliched as they come. If you want to see hockey in a movie, even "The Mighty Ducks" is better than this.

Summary: Tea with Mrs. McGill anyone?
Review: OK, who cares if it's "unrealistic." In the very small Hockey Genre this is without a doubt the best of the bunch. Why...because it's entertaining.

Rob Lowe and Swayze at their peak and a goofy first entry by Keanu Reeves gave us a glimpse of things to come. He cant act. The only downside to this flick is the highly irritating "lets get it on and make my dad angry" content but other than that a fun, and sometimes funny film.

The DVD is very very good with 4 stars for both the widescreen video and audio that you can't tell from 5.1. Four stitches.

Summary: 'you never quit....ever'
Review: Perhaps the words 'you never quit...ever' summarise the whole theme of Youngblood. Peter Markle has done a great job in directing this movie with his slow motion hockey shots and the no-nonsense feel about the film. (Ice Hockey ain't for the faint hearted) If you're after an entertaining action flick with a predictable storyline, great camera work and some romance too, turn off the lights, crank up the stereo and immerse yourself.

Summary: Rob lowe at his best
Review: Rob lowe and Patrick Swayze are awsome toghter. it is the second best hockey movie behind slapshot. its about a kid rob lowe lives on a farm in stanton and get a chance to play JR. A hockey. he gets the last spot on the Hamilton Mustangs. he fall in love with the coaches daughter. so if you like hockey you will like this movie its a classic.
