Summary: Great show, but very upset with the changes......
Review: I love this show. I purchased the DVD because these shows for some reason made me happy, they remind me of High Shcool, and taking trips to Wilmington. It is just a great warm show. 1/2 of the reason I find it so enjoyaable is the music. THe songs were curent with the time and still remind me of a few years back. I vividly remember sitting and watching hte music fit perfectly with the show. It was amazing. The DVD (due to legal reasons) shnged the music leaving a huge void. The show is sub-par without the original music. The pvital moments and music are now missing, making me not likely to watch the remainder.

Review: How about 0 stars. This should be a 5 star DVD, but because of the music changes it's a 0. We, the fans are what made this show as popular as it was, and we don't get any say in the changes that were made. On the DC music website it says that "the show decided to replace some of the songs" that sounds like maybe 5-10% were changed, not 60% as was the case here. The sad part is that when season 3 is released, if the producers want to change the music, they will, and not care if the fans like it or not. Of course season 3 is pretty much worthless anyway. The writers must have ran out of ideas, and had joey and pacey together. No wonder the ratings dropped after season 2. The first two season were always the most popular, because of the Dawson/Joey relationship. When you listen to Williamson & Stupin on the Finale when they talk about how it was first written to end with Dawson & Joey together, the only reason they gave for not ending with those two is "they changed their mind"
We need a little better answer than that. Stupin says "thanks for making the show last as long as it did." Maybe we should say why did it only last 6 years. Maybe if there were more focus on Dawson & Joey in Seasons 3-6, it would have lasted a lot longer.

Summary: ABSOLUTEY AMAZING!!!!
Review: First off, Dawon's Creek is absolutely an amazing show. It mirrors so close to teens that its a little freaky. Everyone and I mean everyone can relate to at least one of the characters. If you buy one tv show series on dvd, make it Dawson's Creek season two because it is simply the best. It is so emotionally moving, you find yourself thinking about each and every episode days after you watched it, not many shows have the power to do that.

Summary: Its Not so Bad
Review: I just finished watching these discs last night. Bear in mind I never missed and episode when the show originally aired, I found the season to be great. I'm not real sure what the big deal is with the music change, there are songs that I liked from the original, however I found that the new music gave the DVD a fresh new sound. If the music is the only thing that people have a complaint too in this DVD set, then it tells me that the Producers of this show definitely did something right. For those people that cant seem to get over the musical change all 6 seasons are being aired on WTBS, buy a DVD recorder and record them yourself. Bring on Season 3, I cant wait.

Summary: music makes the moments!
Review: While Dawsons creek is and always will be an amazing show!
i CANT believe how they have totally under estimated the importants of the ORIGINAL music!
I ordered it before i read about the music, had i known i may not had ordered it! I havent recieved it yet so i guess time will tell just how massacred it is!
but i can tell you that CHANGING KEY songs was not a brigh move at all!
There is only a handful of songs that i can say, im glad they left them in there, the rest have been taken out for god knows what reason!
Its kind of ironic that they did it with DC soundtrack songs as well!!!!
I am relieved they left alone, out of my head, have a little faith in me,that i would be good, feels like home and others!
but god, there are heaps of songs that have been changed which will alter the scenes dramatically, paper cup, lifes a ..., if you sleep, i could be the one, letting go,cry ohpelia, kiss the rain, london rain, ready for a fall, any lucky penny, sway, smoke, shes so high, secret smile, save tonight!!! they all MADE the scenes what they were, to just completely change them is a betrayal to all true fans, the only people who will not care are people who have never seen the INCREDIBLE & POWERFUL as aired versions!
PLEASE make it up to your lotal fans and re release the AIRED versions!!! we dont care how much they cost!!!

Summary: Don't throw your tapes away!
Review: I'm all for a five star rating of this set- having the second season all laid out on DVD, no rewinding or fast-forwarding to get to favorite scenes... it sounded perfect. That is, until I flicked straight to one of my all-time, bookmark-it-now scenes in the second episode and found that the song was completely different and nowhere near as good.

For a show that based so much of the emotional impact in the music and had such great songs for key scenes, I find it crazy that they have been changed. Cost cutting, rights wrangling, explain it how you will, I just felt like I was watching a cheap, "lite" version of the show that I loved and it has definitely suffered for it. Think of the patented Joey Potter roll-of-the-eyes when you see this modification listed in the "Features".

Note to producers: Bring on Season 3 DVD, and please! leave the music alone!!

Summary: BUY IT!!
Review: I have been a "Creek Freak" since the beginning of the show. I love the season one DVD, althought I was disappointed with the exclusion of an extras, except for two commentaries. I feel the same way about the season two DVD. With all the publicity DC got, seems like there should be more extras. I was also disturbed that the majority of the music has been changed. I could understand some changes, but some songs in key moments of the show where changed (like Heather Nova's beautiful song PAPERCUP & Billie Myers KISS THE RAIN) Some changes where even made to the songs that came right from the Dawson's Creek Sountrack CD. I know that the producers chose to change the songs to try to keep the price point of the DVD as low as possible, but since fans are the ones buying the DVD, seems like they should've included the original content of the show, even if it was going to cost a little more. Die hard fans will surely be a little disappointed by it, but it is nice to have the entire season on DVD. Being from NC (where DC was filmed) I really enjoy remembering the characters and how life was during the time the show aired. I plan on buying more DC DVDs, but I just hope that not too many changes will be made to future releases.

Summary: Good show....what's up with the DVDs?
Review: I love the show and this season which is the sole reason for the four star rating. The DVDs suck. The only special features are two commentaries by Paul Stupin for the first and last episodes. Nothing from Kevin Williamson, no interviews with the cast, nothing about why the season was written the way it was, etc. I sincerely hope that the rest of the season DVD sets are much better than this one...

Summary: If you love this show, you'll love this season
Review: I'm watching it as I write this... it has hookups, breakups, a death, a coming out... and so much more. Bottom line is that any true "Dawson's" fan will love the conveneince of having the entire second season on his or her shelf right alongside the first season, at your whim to watch whenever the nostalgic, angst-ridden mood hits you. Awesome season, hands down.

Summary: Perhaps the greatest teen show ever!!!
Review: Seasons 1 and 2 of dawson's creek are brilliant. It possibly has every thing you could want in a television series. Please keep buying these you WILL NOT be disappointed. As the seasons go on they get so much better. I can't wait much longer for them.
