Summary: this is the odd ball in an otherwise great series.
Review: i dont like this & would advise against buying it.
The counting part is simply someone 'counting to 20. No pictures of numbers (this also applies to the alphabet) with the sound, making it hard for babies to relate from the 'english A to eg Spanish A. SAVE YOUR MONEY, flash cards would be far cheaper & better in this case.

Summary: Doesn't correlate
Review: I love the other Baby Einstein tapes,(my 5 month old loves Mozart & Bach so far) and I recently ordered a few more. The language Nursery is interesting, but it doesn't always correlate the words and "nursery rhymes" with what is on the screen. That seems like it would be confusing for a baby/toddler. For instance, if saying little miss muffit, you would expect something to be shown that is associated with that nursery rhyme. Much of this tape does not do that.

Summary: Don't Buy This One! The Others in the Series are BETTER!
Review: Loved the other Baby Einstein DVD's I have for my daughter (Mozart, Both Animals and the Neptune), but this one is a BUST! I couldn't get my daughter to watch this again if I sat her down with a bag of cookies (which I WOULDN'T!) in front of it. Boring, odd and slow! Listening to it will drive you nuts.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I have to admit I am the biggest advocate of the Baby Einstein products - I own them all! However, this one was slightly disappointing. In a country where spanish is the second most spoken language they limit the information on it! I am a native speaker and was disappointed to know that all languages included in the video count to 20 while spanish only goes to 10. Not to mention the flash cards are incorrect. We found 2 errors on those. So, while these may be entertaining they are limited in properly educating a child. I would not have written this review except for the fact that I Emailed their customer service AND sent a comment via their website only to be ignored.
Hopefully, they will fix this so future owners of this product can really get their money's worth.

Summary: Don't waste your money
Review: I have the whole series of their products. This is the worst. My daughter loves the others but this one is simply boring. I agree with some of the other reviewers that is purposeless to not have the images correlate with what is being spoken. My daughter resides in a multi-lingual home and we are careful to match what we say to her with what is going on around her. To not do this is worthless. Poor product, trust me don't get this one.

Summary: my baby loves it
Review: My daughter has enjoyed this since she was a couple of months old, and I feel comfortable letting her watch it. It will hold her attention the entire time, and she enjoys talking quietly to herself while hearing the variety of languages. (She's 7 months)

I wish the languages were directly related to the content of the pictures.

I will still buy others from the series!

My child doesn't see much other TV, so perhaps a child who watches a lot of TV would find this video less interesting than she does.

Summary: We love it!
Review: I bought this for my 3 month old daughter tonight. I was going to buy Bach or Mozart but they were sold out, so I picked this one up instead. This was our first purchase of any of the Baby Einsten videos and I must say, I didn't know quite what to expect. My daughter was sleepy and a borderline fussy when we arrived home from the store. We had to put our groceries away and do a few other things, so I decided to put her in front of this video in her bouncy seat. I was amazed! Her eyes stayed glued to the television the whole time and she was captivated by it. No, the pictures don't correlate with the words being spoken but I don't think that was the goal. I think the goal was to capture babys attention while exposing them to other languages. She laughed and cooed and shrieked all the way through this video and began to cry when it was over and I picked her up. As I said before, this was our first purchase from the series and I may be even happier with Bach, Mozart, or some of the other tapes, but I must say that our first experience with this one was great!

Summary: irritating, boring
Review: My son was bored to death the first and last time he watched. I went nuts listening to all the babble. Don't waste your money!

Summary: This DVD saved my sanity!
Review: My daughter is now 11 months and has watched this DVD at least once a week since she was about 3 months. When I need to get something done all I have to do is pop in this DVD and she will sit in front of the TV watching until I turn it off. NOTHING will draw her attention away from this DVD. Now that she's much more mobile, she likes to play while the DVD is going in the background instead of just sitting there glued to the TV. On several occasions she's been so tired and cranky after she gets home from daycare that she won't eat her dinner. All I have to do is put in Baby Einstein and she calms down, eats her dinner and goes straight to bed.

Summary: Not too great...
Review: I purchased this video along with all the others for my daughter's age (4½ months) and was not at all pleased with this one-Baby Einstein: Language Nursery. My daughter will not watch this for more than three minutes, then she loses interest very quickly. It's jyst not like the other tapes and all the language combonations are rater annoying to the adult ear. Perhaps a tape like this in one other language, or up the age recommendations on this one to ages 2-5.
