Rating: Summary: Terrific from start to finish! Review: "Baby Einstein" is terrific from start to finish. My fourteen-month-old loves this video and only one other..."Singing Babies Nursery Rhyme Time." In fact, my son has little interest in much else. So, we rotate these two videos getting equal doses of classical and then all the nursery rhymes. I highly recommend "Einstein." Actually, I recommend both videos.
Rating: Summary: Your kid might like it But it doesn't mean it's a good thing Review: Although the idea behind "Baby Einstein" collection is excellent, the implementation (presentation) and execution of the idea are very poor. After reviewing "Baby Dolittle Neighborhood Animals", which many people gave it 5 stars, I was quite disappointed... Objectively speaking, this program doesn't deserve 5 stars. It is better to take the idea and implement it in your own ways... See it for yourself! I almost bought it and the entire "Baby Einstein" when I saw the first few 5 star reviews on Amazon.com!! Until I read couple reviews that actually reviewed the "program" not "the reaction of their children to the program". Those reviews gave me more of a objective view on this tape and the "Baby Einstein" series. Get this program mainly for its entertainment value, not for education one.
Rating: Summary: They've done it again! Review: Another great video from the Baby Einstein company. My 10 month old was enchanted with this video. He danced, he laughed, and he grinned from ear to ear. Both mom and baby enjoyed the music and the wonderful animal photography. I highly recommend that you add this to your collection.
Rating: Summary: Better than the Mozart--but a bit disappointing Review: As a mother of three, I have been discovering children's videos. My children enjoyed this one a bit better than the Mozart, but again, I had a bit of a problem myself with it. It is just not offering enough intelligible information to the age group it is targeted toward. By one year to 4 years, children can comprehend much more than it offers. We really enjoy the Baby Know-It-All series for carla, our 9 month old, and Zaboomafoo for Devon, our 2 year old.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Educational Tool! Review: As one who strongly supports reading to children, I was a "little" anti-TV for my youngster, until watching "Baby Van Gogh," which is an earlier video production by the same company. Julie Aigner-Clark is a genius! Her innovative products, exceptionally creative, are designed to entertain children while they learn. "Baby Dolittle Neighborhood Animals," is no exception. With an imaginative approach, this instantly engaging video teaches animal recognition through cleverly written text, and real world objects, while stimulating auditory senses with classically arranged pieces and children's music. My son was immediately mesmerized from the first viewing, five-months old, and remains fascinated to this day, now fourteen months old. I heard about Baby Einstein products from friends, but did not become interested until I learned of the company's dedication to providing financial support to MANY children's charities such as the Autism Society of America, Ronald McDonald House, The Eden Institute, a leading school for educating autistic children, and a host of other organizations committed to children with special needs. I now own several Baby Einstein videos and most of the companion books - they are excellent educational tools. Additional recommendations - "Baby Shakespeare," "Baby Mozart," "Baby Van Gogh," also, Richard Scarry's "BEST" videos are excellent for children 1 year and up.
Rating: Summary: Cutest Baby Einstein Video so far! Review: Definitely the cutest and innovative video so far! My 1 1/2 year old loves it (and it doesn't annoy me either!) It features animals & the usual puppets, plus it holds attention, as with the rest of the series! I recommend this one!
Rating: Summary: I Changed my mind .... Review: Few months ago I wrote that this DVD was a little bit borring .... now it is the favorite one of my 6 months boy ... He gets very excited as soon as he hears the music and sees the beginning. He laugh looking at the animals ... a real pleasure !!!
Rating: Summary: We are not a big TV family Review: I am not into TV too much. I have one or two shows that I am really into, but if something more interesting or demanding comes up, then I am not heart broken about missing out. Maybe that is why my little boy is not at all interested in this video. I didn't want to be a parent that let the TV babysit their child, but I was hoping that this video would give me a few minutes to myself and prove to be stimulating to my baby. I bought it for him at 11 months and he was not interested. I waited a few months a reintroduced it. Nothing. I tried again a few weeks ago. Basically my little boy is too busy and he seems to learn the most when me or my husband point things out to him. I am amazed at all the other parents who say their children are enthralled by this video.
Rating: Summary: Great Video! Review: I bought this for my daughter when she was 15 months, and from the moment we turned it on, she was hooked. She loves to watch all the animals and dance along with the music. She also learned a bunch of new words from this video, such as cat, cow, mouse, pig, duck, bird, and bug. She says them whenever she sees them. This is the only video we own right now, but I look forward to purchasing the "World Animals" video. I think she will enjoy that one just as much and will also learn a new group of words to add to her ever-expanding vocabulary!
Rating: Summary: We love it! Review: I expected this video to be as good as Baby Mozart, and I wasn't disappointed. It's a little more advanced than Baby Mozart and encourages reading of simple animal words (dog, cat, etc.) My grandchildren like the animals, both real and toy. They especially liked the puppets. I would recommend it for children 2-5 yrs.
