Summary: I'm 34 and still love this!
Review: I grew up on School house Rock and was so thrilled to see it back on TV sometime back....not sure if its still on ABC or not.
The tunes are catchy and really did teach the topic being sung. I passed my history exam on memorizing the preamble thanks to "The Premable - The Constitution"! I have all the video tapes and can't wait until this DVD is released with all of it on one disc!

I also have a 5 year old that I can't wait to introduce some of this to (I know, I have the tapes....he's really into DVDs....go figure!)

BUY THIS DVD!

Summary: What Took You So Long?
Review: I also grew up on Schoolhouse Rock. I was more looking forward to the Schoolhouse Rock segments than the other cartoons!! My most memorable thought is big number 30, the football player, on "Three is a magic number" crashing through the wall. Now that I have sons of my own, I wanted to get them something educational that will teach them math, science, grammer, and history. I want them to learn about those things without realizing they were learning and have fun doing it. Schoolhouse Rock is definitely the way to go!! Thank God the DVD is finally coming out with all my favorites on one disk. "A man and a woman had a little baby, yes they did...."

Summary: Its about time....
Review: Its about time they put these on DVD format. I bought the VHS tapes a while back, and I love them, but there is nothing that will compare to having these treasures on DVD. I grew up on School House Rock. These little 2-3 segments helped define my generation. From Im just a Bill to Conjunction Junction, SHR is and will always be a treasure. I highly recommend this DVD. Now, I know that it is not out yet, but Hey, its SHR. You cant go wrong. If you have kids, they will love em and learn from them. If you grew up with SHR, this dvd will bring back so many great memories of those Saturday mornings long gone by. You will be singing all of them, because you still know the words. You know you will be....

Summary: It's just great that this time honored DVD has come out.
Review: This is a time honored DVD to many of us who were raised in the 1970's. ABC and it's parent Disney have brought us previously this collection to VHS, Hooray in a verse from the "Grammar: Interjection, VHS." But this time I must recommend this DVD with a Super Hip Hip Hooray. This time Disney and ABC will include all Schoolhouse Rock mini scholastic Infomercials together with a little bit of Bonus material.
If you happen to have children, this is a great learning tool for grammar, math, civics/history and science to round out some of the kids television watching that is fun and entertaining. I am a single adult and I can't wait for the series to finally be out on DVD.
It includes all the songs on one dvd, bonus material on the second dvd. So relive your fond memories with a new generation: your kids. This package of memorable television info-commercials/animation will fast become a favorite in both generations and quite possible for all generations to come.

Summary: FINALLY!
Review: I know it will be 5 stars because I grew up with this since from the beginning. I love the songs, especially America Rock. Not only was it entertaining but also very educational. With the world today and all the mindless shows for kids this is the best thing you can do for your child. Trust me your child will never forget the words. I still know the words and I'm an adult. And love to put it on when I'm feeling down. Nothing better, "suffering till suffrage" to get you a cheery mood! Can't wait for this classic to be on dvd! YAHOO!!!!!

Summary: Schoolhouse Rocks ROCKS
Review: Ok, ok, i know: it hasn't even come out yet. How can you write a review before viewing it? Let's call it a PREVIEW REVIEW. (I hear those Greek scholars cringe.) But, It's ABOUT TIME! I've been looking and looking for it. Thanx to Amazon.com for letting us know about the release of ALL the Schoolhouse Rock cartoons on DVD. It's a heaping sweet spoonfull of our generation's nostalgia. I'm not only excited to finally get to own them, but, I can't believe all the extras there are as well!! My mouth is watering and my ears are tingling to get mine. HURRY!

Review: I learned more from this as a kid than in school. To expensive on Amazon, I got it cheaper at my local Vons grocery store.

Summary: Nothing out there today compares with these short vids
Review: I read a bunch of the reviews for the Schoolhouse Rock DVDs before buying them, but knew I would get them anyway. And I'm glad I did.

Our three kids, 11, 8, and 5, all love these and have hardly stopped watching them since they arrived. That's fairly typical with new videos or DVDs, but this is the first one we've bought where the kids walk around singing about adjectives, the shot heard 'round the world, how electricity works, and interplanet Janet.

Face it. Anyone who watched Saturday morning cartoons in the 70s and 80s probably can still recite the preamble to the US Constitution. And tell you where the piece of paper in "I'm just a Bill" is sitting. And with a bit of coaching, could tell you what the function of conjunctions is. ("Hookin' up words and phrases and clauses," for those who never saw them.)

I haven't seen anything out there today that compares with these as far as teaching kids useful information in an entertaining way. My kids love them. My wife and I still love them. And there are a couple of new ones, including one about the electoral college, and an even better one about Tyrannosaurus Debt, the US deficit, how it started, and how it keeps growing.

I had no trouble with the jukebox format or navigating my way around. I was surprised how easy it was based on some of the other reviews, but no problems here.

If you ever watched these when you were a kid, get these DVDs. If you have kids, get these DVDs. If you've never heard of them but want to watch some entertaining, short, educational cartoons, get these DVDs.

Darn, that's the end.

Summary: Thank goodness!!!
Review: As a teacher, I LIKE the jukebox format. These songs are absolutely wonderful for today's kids too. Since the state tests are about to be given in my state, I am planning on having this constantly running. Kids today can memorize Conjunction Junction along with the latest Beyonce song! 2/2005 update - Folks, this one has my school kids actually memorizing their times tables!!! Grab this one now!

Summary: Disney DVDs are full of adds, the films get buried.
Review: Just like the other amazon reviwers say, the SHR films are loaded with about a dozen adds for other made for the Disney channel films, thatyou can not skip past to the main meneu. I like School House Rock, but this rather cheap/fast DVD that Disney put the films on with all these adds is just annoying and too much. I said once that Warners made cheap DVDs, WRONG. Disney is the all time king of cheap/annoying DVD productions and features,
