Rating: Summary: It works! Review: I love this DVD. It is great for real biginners; nothing hard about it. I tried this one, because I had serious backpain caused by wearing high heel shoes. At first, it did not seem to do anyting, but my backpain's gone. My posture became straight. But, this is not a good one for weight loss. You'll not see any challenge in this one. Anyway...as they claimed, it does work for back!
Rating: Summary: This really helped my lower back pain Review: I've been using the Yoga for a Strong and Healthy Back DVD for 6 months. I wanted a workout that would strengthen my back muscles, as well as my abs, for added back support. This program is exactly what I was looking for. I was so impressed with how immediate my results were that I tried another Yoga Zone DvD. I now own 8 titles from the company and practice yoga with them daily.
Rating: Summary: If you have back problems, this one is for you Review: I've had serious lower back pain for the past 3 years. I have been through traction, physical therapy, massage, exercise programs, and a new mattress; nothing worked. I decided to give this DVD a try and what tremendous results! After only a few sessions, my back was much more flexible and feeling better. After about a month, I was pain free. It's now been six months and I do the workout about twice a week to keep the pain away. It has been a miracle for me and I recommend it to anyone with similar back problems...much better than living on pain killers!
Rating: Summary: Pretty cool Yoga workout! Review: I've had this DVD for a really long time, but I just tried it for the first time today. To my surprise, the workout was challenging yet relaxing at the same time. The instructors were really thorough and informative about stretching, breathing, positions, etc. I especially like how they used the mirror approach, which is where the viewer can just easily mirror the person's movement (or what seems to be the movement they want from us) on the screen. The scenery was also great. It was pretty dim in my room and just watching them on the beaches of Jamaica made me feel as if I was there. I know it sounds corny, but I felt as if they were personally teaching ME how to do yoga. In a sense they were, but yeah, this Yoga workout rules! Forty minutes, baby!
Rating: Summary: another yoga zone 20 minute favorite Review: the first time through this the first part almost killed me! I am overweight and at the time I had just started exercising. this has a lot of twists..tons of them (which I like doing now if I'm warmed up). all I remembered after the 1st time through were the twists and downdog seems like. So, when I attempted it a 2nd time I did the 2nd program and loved it! Douglas leads the 2nd program and does a variety like boat and fan pose..just overall a very nice workout. I like the 2nd program when my back feels a little tight and slightly achey because it stretches me out.
Rating: Summary: it's ok Review: the instructors are ok. the 2nd one is a little stiff & stuffy --- he says "that is beautiful" probably 100 times? ;-) i also wish there were more varieties of poses. also more sitting lying poses. my back does not feel stretched or refreshed at the end & i actualy have to do my own stretches afterwards. i like Rodney Yee's Back Care Yoga better.
Rating: Summary: Really worth the money! Review: This dvd was my first try at yoga. If you are inflexible like me, some of the poses are harder than others, but the yoga trainers seem to realize that and they are very encouraging. If you have any back pain, or just want to release some stress from your back, this is perfect!
Rating: Summary: Good for beginners Review: This is only the second Yoga Zone video I've tried and I really didn't like it. I'm fairly new to yoga and I take a class once a week. This video was almost too easy for me. I am fairly flexible but I felt as if I didn't get anything out of this video. There were a few poses that I'll probably incorporate in my weekly routine but that's about it.
Rating: Summary: Not challenging, even for a beginner Review: This is only the second Yoga Zone video I've tried and I really didn't like it. I'm fairly new to yoga and I take a class once a week. This video was almost too easy for me. I am fairly flexible but I felt as if I didn't get anything out of this video. Rating: Summary: A very easy beginning Review: This video features two short (25-min.) yoga sessions, the second one a little more challenging than the first. The exercises are nice and the instruction simple and easy to follow. I did not end up using this video very much, though, because I found it to be much too easy. It'll provide a relaxing stretch, but not really a workout for the back (or the rest of your body).
