Summary: 1 2...Freddy's coming for you...
Review: I'm a ten year old kid and I just watched this movie today, and I loved it. My mom and dad (Yes...old people) recomended this movie, and I was afraid to watch it for the first year or two they told me about it. Yes I admit, I yoused to be a bit of a fradiy cat when it came to scary movies. I watched Jaws, when I was about 6 or so. But that movie's different. It's true suppense. And I used to think all scary-scary movies were about a guy who wanted to kill teenagers for some pointless reason. I was so scared of scary movies I left the theater when I went to see "DARKNESS FALLS." About a year o so later I found A Nightmare on Elm Street. I decided to get it, see if it was any good. I took it over to my friend's house and we watched it. While her and her little brother put their blankets over their face, I just sat there with my eyes glued to the tube. I kept wandering if Nancy (The star) was dreaming or awake. Y'see it's about some wackjob killer who killed kids (Yuk) on Elm Street. And he got caught and put to prison, then realised. Ater he was realised from jail all the parents of the neighborhood team up and hunt down Freddy Kruger (the killer) and leterally burn him to death. Several years later his ghost or something comes back and haunts the dreams of teens who live on Elm street. But when he haunts their nightmares and slices at them or somthing and they wake up, they will have a cut. While Nancy's best friend is making whoppie with her boyfriend, you hear some really disturbing noises, and then they fall asleep. Dun-dun-dunnn! Blood starts to come out of the girl's body as you see her get dragged around the room by noboby (In real life) and get brutally murdered. Then everybody thinks the boyfriend did it. That's gotta suck!

Now Freddy Kruger is one of the freakiest cool bad guys in a scary movie. Okay, have you seen Michale Myers or Jason talk to their victims? Nope. But Freddy does. One of my favorite scenes is where Freddy is talking to one of his victims in their dream, and says "Watch this..." Then SLICE! He cuts off his OWN fingers! And then you get to see green blood squirt out of his hand. Cool, or what? This movie is classic, but the end makes pretty much no ssnse whatsoever. Oh yea you get to see a really, really, really young Johnny Depp git to play in his first role. !

Okay so everybody out there...
Go get this movie now, and scare your kids. (Make sure your kids are avout 7 whene they watch this, because it's so much fun to see a little kid get the living daylighs out of them!)

Summary: The First is always the best!!!
Review: Like all movies with sequels, the first IS the best!!!! Freddy is very cool in this movie and and 1 of the 3 80's horror villins
who does not were a mask. The story is about a guy named Freddy
who kills teens in their own dreams. This one is truly a classic
and unlike the Friday the 13th movies, none of the sequels mach up
to the first. If you wan't something that will scare you then you should really get this. You won't be able to stop waching it
intil you know who survied!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: AWESOME
Review: I'm actually 14, but don't want to bother on looking for my dad's password.
This movie is awesome, it's funny, creepy, and exciting. I loved the line, "Hey. Watch this...*SLICE*" It's hillarious how he has fun with his victims. But it was also very creepy. Robert Englund did an excellent job, I give it 10 thumbs up.

Review: This DVD's so cool!! Even though it's from the 80's, it chills you to the bone! Me and my boyfriend Nick saw it together, and he was grabbing me through the whole thing! This movie will totaly get you hooked on the Nightmare on Elm Street series. If you love this you'll definately want to check out Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th and watch other nightmares!! Don't forget to pick up Freddy vs Jason on DVD in January!!!!

Review: awesome ! one of my favorite horror flicks...I saw this when it originally came out in the mid 80's as a kid and I was truly frightened...I think the first 3 in the series are the best...With this one being the best the second being good a little confusing but good and the third (dream warriors) being just as good and entertaining as the 1st...A definate classic !!! highly recommend to any horror fan especially the younger horror fans like myself at one time a must see !!!!!

Summary: i liked this nightmare!
Review: Its pretty rare horror movies give me the creeps, if ever and this one was pretty convincing if you put yourself in the shoes of the victim/girl, also the most eerie part of the movie has to be that creepy ghostly Ryme that these kids sing in the movie. The movie had the atsmosphere and the good directing and the sequels will never match up to this.

Summary: A movie that changed horror movie pop culture
Review: Now i have seen this movie many times and as you sit down to watch this screw the sequals you heard sucked this is the original here with great acting(johnny depps 1st real movie) and an amazing director(wes craven) This movie didn't scare me but it was an amazing movie none the less I highly recomend this title and also Now lets move on to the character every body knows freddy krueger he is the only villian that i don't want to die in the movie. It did change horror pop culture. The soryline is great but as you finish the movie you have alot of questions what happens next? what about freddys past? well u'll have to get the sequals to answer that but buy this great movie!

Summary: Forget The Sequels!
Review: When A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET came out, there was nothing else like it. I'd seen Friday The 13th, Halloween, etc., but here was a different kind of "slasher" flick. Unlike it's peers, ANOES is not just about a mindless murderer on a rampage. This guy is a long-dead child killer who comes back after the kids of the folks who did him in. The idea of a serial killer who attacks his victims in their dreams was original and fascinating. I liked the way the heroine Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) actually had a brain and was not afraid to use it in combatting the hideous evil of Fred Krueger. The way that Craven overlapped dream and reality was mind-bending for it's time! The nightmare sequences are actually terrifying, especially when Nancy is visited by her dead friend Tina. Please forget all about the ridiculous sequels. This is the ONLY Nightmare necessary...
