Summary: The Monster Collection
Review: 8 movies, 8 classics. But you'll notice that I only gave it 4 stars. That's because I only like 7 of the 8 films. For some reason, I just can't sit through The Creature From the Black Lagoon. Hmm--is it me?? I bought this collection because I love the other 7 films. Dracula is my favorite, the second being The Mummy...and so on. But when I sat down to watch Creature, it took me three days to get through 1 hour and 15 minutes. I kept turning it off. I haven't watched it since, but all the others have been seen at least a thousand times or more. But, all the DVD's have special features, theatrical trailers, photo galleries, the works. That also makes them cool. And I buy DVD's for the cover art--I don't know why. These DVD's-all of them-have awesome cover art. All the documentaries were very interesting, and it is neat to see the kids of the stars on each one--Bela Lugosi Jr on Dracula, Sara Karloff on Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein and The Mummy, Jessica Rains on Phantom of the Opera and The Invisible Man and so on. I wish that some more classics were included in this collection: The Invisible Man Returns, The Black Cat, The Raven...come on Universal! Oh, well. I guess they'll release them some time. But all in all, you MUST buy this collection! Even though I don't care too much for The Creature From the Black Lagoon, I wouldn't dare get rid of it. It's part of the collection!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Summary: UNIVERSAL CLASSIC MONSTER COLLECTION
Review: As youve probably heard, the old monster movies are the best movies ever created!I wrote a review on (DRACULA VS FRANKENSTEIN, and BLOOD OF DRACULAS CASTLE). So if you enjoy this review, you might want to check out my other ones!
...I make my own horror movies, Ive made 31 one them so farin three years! I got inspired by the old ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN starring Bela Lugosi.
...Well in all of these movies, Wolfman is my favorite.FRAMKENSTEIN:When doctor frankenstein makes a body out of dead corpses and brings it to life, its a matter of life and deathn between the doctor and the monster! BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN: Its the sequal to the origina, I thnk its even better. When the monster demands a mate the two doctors face challenges as they create a bride for the monster!
THE WOLFMAN: When Lawrance Talbot comes to live with his father, he gets bitten by a werewolf, so he tries to stop from becoming a werewolf but its one heck of a show! INVISIBLE MAN: When Claude Rains becomes invisible, he`ll stop at nothing to turn back! DRACULA: Beware the vampire is back and will stop at nothing to drink blood-Bela Lugosi! THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON: When a scientist finds a hand inside a moutain, they dig it out and its a fight to stop the creature from killing and killing! THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA: He sneeks around, storming the plays and making trouble...and THE MUMMY; When the scientists uncover a mommys tomb they try to get away but Inhopt tries to kill them. So buy the Monster Collection from AMAZON.COM!

That, and more - all movies, except The Invisible Man include the original theatrical trailer! What are you waiting for? Buy it now! It's worth every penny!

Summary: Worth Every Penny
Review: For anyone who loves the classics before horror movies needed sex and nudity to keep the audience interested. These movies are great. The stories aren't bad. You'll have a good laugh at the special effects. The extras are also very enjoyable. This is one of the most treasured set of dvd's I own.

Each one is in pristine condition will keep you watching with the lights on!

Summary: Enormously Entertaining
Review: I find this "Monster" box set enormously entertaining, with the exception of the "Phantom" remake. Although I like Claude Rains as an actor and feel that he did a nice job, the movie was too lavish and Hollywoodized and really didn't belong in this set (what about the ridiculous relationship between the heroine's two suitors?). The silent 1925 Lon Chaney version belongs in this set of course, as everyone knows (and you can buy that separately). But don't let that stop you from purchasing this box set! Even though it's currently out of print and you have to pay a secondary market premium, as I did, it's still worth every penny. I can't rave enough about this box set. Enjoy Bela, Boris, Claude, Lon, and sweet Julia in all their black & white glory!
