Summary: Some of the funniest moments in the history of movie-spoofs
Review: The basis of this movie's plot is from "Scream". They hit you from the very beginning with amazingly funny jokes. Cindy (Sydney) is running away from a killer who may just be the guy her and her friends murdered last Halloween which is of course a spoof off of "I Know What You Did Last Summer". This movie never dries up and keeps you laughing until the very end. Don't miss it - it could just be the funniest movie that you'll see in the past five years. A caution: the humor may move into gross pornography but overall the whole thing is worth a try! Definitely a great buy and one of the top comedies I have ever seen!

Review: They didn't even make fun of scary movies in this. It's not as diguisting as people are saying but still, this isn't funny.

Summary: Funny at times, too gross at others...
Review: This movie is a spoof of (mainly) 'I know what you did last summer' and 'Scream' (which was originally titled 'Scary Movie', by the way), with small references to other movies such as 'The Matrix', 'The Sixth Sense', etc.

Many of the jokes / situation were classic (my favorite was the 'Drew' scene, mimicking Drew Barrimore's famous creepy scene from 'Scream'). Others, on the other hand, were too gross and childish (at least to my not - too - picky taste).

Review: How can you write a review of such a film where to describe the film you would need to quote it, yet the lines lie in the delivery, and would sound dumb on paper (well, not paper, but...). It makes fun of such films as Scream, The Blair Witch Project, Election, I Know What you Did last summer, and eventually The Usual Suspects. What surprises me is that on the Usual Suspects, almost every review comments on the ending. In this film (which made fun of TUS ending), nobody comments on it. It also briefly makes fun of itself ("actors in their thirties....."). The Wayans brothers also make fun of the Sixth Sense, which got me laughing out loud. The have some class showing scenes from Shakespeare in Love, and Amistad. While I was laughing very hard at times, the infamous "bathroom" scene, Mrs. Man, and the chearleder breaking her leg (very graphic), had me do a back-to back-to back fast foreward. The deleted scenes were also disgusting and not funny. This film is ideal on dvd, as some scenes you want to watch again and again, while others you want to easily skip. This film is low brow, crude and hilarious. I would never buy it, but it is worth renting. Thank you for taking the time to read my review and feel free to leave me a helpful/not helpful feedback. God Bless America!

Summary: What The Hell????
Review: How funny is a rome-aphrodite gym teacher delivering lines like "Never belive someone when they tell you that shaving your pubic hair will rid you of crab infestation."? Well, that's just one of the ways SCARY MOVIE is flawed. In it's favor, there IS laughter to be found here. There's a clever scene that make's fun of I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER when a guy is hit by a car and immediately recovers, and while the kids debate about how best to deal with the situation, the guy is trying to walk off and tell them he's fine. There's also the bit in the beginning where Carmen Electra's breast implant gets yanked out. And I absolutely loved the scene with the (gay)boy and (not gay) girl making love while the girl most wear the guy's football pads. But that's not enough to last the whole movie. Most of the other shots at comedy miss by a mile. ... And don't even get me started on how little this movie gives to THE SIXTH SENSE. Oh, and one more thing. I saw this BEFORE I saw SCREAM, which is this movie's principal target, and know what, SCREAM was twice as funny.

Summary: Scary movie- a trip in bad taste
Review: Scary movie is the 'hilarious' spoof that makes fun of films such as 'scream', 'i know what you did last summer', 'the matrix' and budweiser ads.
Scary movie involves targets such as gay sex, lesbians, bodily functions, and the disabled, so you should leave your brain at the door for this one, or if you are easily offended don't watch it at all.
If all of the above puts you off scary movie, then fair enough. Some people will despise this movie and it will try your patience to the limits. But, admittedly, when the film tries to achieve it's goal of being a spoof, which it does little, it can be very funny. All the parodies of 'scream' and the like are the film's best bits. I wish the film's directors could have tried to achieve what the movie set out to do more, then it could be three, maybe four stars instead of two.
Admittedly, this film made me laugh, some times out loud and with big belly laughs. In places, it is hilarious. But the humour used is sick schoolboy humour at best and you wonder after laughing what kind of person you really are, and scary movie often crosses the lines of the boundaries of taste and decency. It's times like this when you question what the directors really wanted you to do. The numerous gags involving bodily functions aren't crude yet charming, like in certain comedy films, just disgusting and pointless.
The humour used can often test your sense of decency to breaking point and despite it's moments of odd hilarity, i'm afraid for the above reasons i can only give scary movie 2 stars. The film lacks with, charm, plot and any decent comedy performances. Put it this way, if you are a huge fan of this film, i would suggest having your brain scanned to see if it contains anything. The directors certainly need to do this, and frequent drug references only seek to coarsen the picture.
Only recommended for schoolboys with bad taste or comedy buffs who must have it for their collection.

Summary: Adam Sandler said it best when
Review: Adam Sandler said it best when he sang, "somebody kill me please!"
To give you a little history, I was working at a camp in Colorado where we didn't have access to TV, Radio, etc. We drove into town hoping to see X-Men. They were sold out, so Scary Movie was about the only fall back option.
Opening scene where Carmen Electra beats up the kids with a bat hits and I was thinking this movie was going to be great. I was mistaken. It was simply a quick descent from there. I'll admit. I usually laugh at things you know you shouldn't laugh at. But this movie was the most vulgar, offensive, garbage I've ever seen. When a joke was almost funny, it would get played out to death.
This movie almost kept me from seeing "Not Another Teen Movie," since I thought at first glance it was by the Wayan's brothers. Luckily it wasn't, and it was an awesome movie.
As for "Scary Movie," it ruined my summer. Ok, so it didn't. But I had to make up something to show how horrible this movie is. Top 10 worst movies ever. Just behind Moulin Rouge and The Cube.

Summary: Scary Movie
Review: Very funny spoof of the movies "Scream" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer." The dvd includes lots of hilarious scenes that were edited out of the movie. (Those scenes are definately R rated but very funny.)
