Cyberhome Portable DVD Player - CH-LDV 700B

Review: Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for. This little 2lb unit (w/batt) is worth owning. I purchased it from Wal-Mart for $213.xx. When I brought the first one home, the LCD screen would not come on, I immediately returned it and the second works fine. I have just charged the battery and can't wait to test the longevity. All I have to say, is buy an aftermarket battery. You most likely would anyway. The package came with all the accessories you need to travel and connect it to your television, as long as you had A/V inputs. The picture quality is great, sound is a little weak, but nothing external speaker can fix. The opening button and dvd door seem like it wouldn't hold up in the durability contest, but what more can you ask for. Of course, others brands may be more durable, but remember you're only next to nothing when you comparison shop. I could buy two of these for the price of one. I've read bad reviews on this product about durability, I guarantee none out there would hold up to being dropped. Hope this helps.

Review: Looks good the price is right but have had nothing but problems with it since we bought it. ths batter never stays charged says 2.5 hrs and only gets 1 hr plus after you charge it it goes dead in a few hrs of not even using it

Review: My mother boyght this DVD player for my son because we were going on a trip to Hawaii. The first one we had would stop playing for no reason. It would indicate that the battery was completely charged when in fact when I turned it on and checked the battery status, it was only half charged. In fact, the battery would never completely charge at all. So we returned that one and got another. SAME THING! So this time we are going to return it for a full refund. DO NOT BUY! You've been warned.

Review: please dont waste your money on this piece if crap..it has barely any volume but when you use the earphones it blasts in your ear but when the earphones are removed to listen to it in the car you cant even hear it ...this product sucks

Review: Received this as a gift. Screen went black in first 15 minutes of the first movie. The battery does not recharge or hold a charge. Will be taking this one back and buying a name brand. Don't waste your money or time with this product.

Review: This player is awsome, have had no problems with it at all, the people who complain of black screens, and shoty batteries probaly can't set the time on thier VCR still. If you can't figure out how to operate it, don't buy it, and don't write bad reviews becuse it frustrates you. I would also like to mention that even though it doesn't list this in the specs or on the box, this player supports CDG disks, ie. Karaoke, what could be more kewl than a micro portable Karaoke machine :) and check out http://www.videohelp.com/ for some tips on region issues.

Review: This product has been one headache after another. First, the monitor didn't work at all. After I exchanged it, the new DVD player had a battery that didn't work. When I tried to contact CyberHome about the problem, I didn't get a response. Do yourself a favor and get a different DVD player.

Review: We have a 15 month old baby and he loves the Lion King movie! I was against buying a DVD player for the car until I had to sing "10 Little Monkeys On the Bed" for 1 1/2 hours on the way to my mother-in-law's house. This DVD player is lightweight and has a huge 7" screen..........our baby loves this..........and we do too! Thanks for the great portable DVD player at such a wonderful price!

Review: We have exchanged this dvd player for the THIRD TIME. Every time there seems to be some sort of problem with the monitor. The dvd will play for a short while then it will suddenly shut off. Cyberhome should recall this dvd player. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE HAVE MADE --- DO NOT PURCHASE THIS DVD PLAYER!!

Review: We purchased this for a vacation. It didn't even last 2 hours. We exchanged it at a Radio Shack for another of the same. Mistake. We've had pretty much every problem imaginable: no picture, no sound, won't read discs, delayed sound, battery life nonexistent, bad picture, all of which have been sporadic. The last straw was the power jack in the back of the unit failed. We haven't used the unit much since our vacation in August and the warranty ran out two weeks prior to the power jack problem. Cyberhome wants over $99 for labor and $5 for parts--and they would cover the cost of parts IF they decided the unit was not abused (it wasn't). We have contacted them and to say the customer service is bad is an understatement. They totally blew us off. DO NOT support Cyberhome in any way. VERY BAD!!!!!
