Summary: Let's get it released!
Review: Ok, so this is a cheesy gimmick, and not the type of thing I would normally do, but desperate times...

If you are looking forward to season 2 on dvd, and the producers & studio are royally pissing you off because they can't get off their you-know-whats and just release it, then give this review a "found it helpful" nod. Let's show them how much we are all looking forward to this release. Season 1 came out so long ago, and those of us who refuse to buy the horribly-reviewed VHS version of season 2 are jonesing for this.

So let's see it. Who's with me?

Summary: NOW!
Review: It is time. Give us Season Two. We have waited long enough. Why did Artisan stop after Season One? Are they enjoying torturing us? It seems like every season of every crappy show ever made is being released on DVD. Why is the greatest show in the history of television ignored?

Summary: Twin Peaks is the best
Review: I truly hope that this will be released on DVD soon. I'm from Finland and I have the first season on DVD and I love it :) I showed it to all of my friends and many of them are going to buy it too and they also agree that the second season must be released on DVD.

I am really sure that if The Season Two will come out some day, it will have lots of buyers, because Twin Peaks is a cult and its fans are those kind of people who want everything in as good quality as possible :)

Summary: Rescue Season Two from the Black Lodge!
Review: The stars are for the series, with the assumption that the quality of the first season DVD transfers will persist in the second.
As to why this is not out, read Phobrek's review for an accurate summation (at least of information that's publicly available). This information is, of course readily discoverable through your favorite search engine.
The point, however, seems to have been lost. Here's a few:
•TP:Season One sold WELL.
•Twin Peaks is one of the best shows ever to appear on television.
•We've got drek coming out of our ears now, in terms of old TV shows on DVD.
•Twin Peaks fans are the ideal DVD collectors: discerning, typically demanding of high quality, completists, liable to have "marathons" and of course, affluent; all the kind of things make folks pick up a DVD.

Alas, it's deja vu all over again: when TP first hit home video, it was in the form of a "log" with the first seven episodes, one per tape, no pilot. The pilot made its way to video with the "european ending" which alters the story and is not a good way to set up the first regular episode. Then a massive release of the entire series (again no pilot) arrived, yet somehow they managed four episodes per tape, and yet the tapes seemed light as a feather.... THEY WERE IN **EP** !!!!! My Bravo air dubs are better.
This shocking affront to the refined sensibilities of Peakers the world 'round was never set right. Now there is an opportunity to do so.
Just as the series itself was forced to a rapid conclusion during the spring of '91, so the curse has plagued the series on home video. The money is there. The goods are there. Lets make a deal: we give you the money, you give us the DVDs. I don't want to hear that Paramount is going to let Artisan/Lion's Gate's rights elapse and release thier own in 2k5. BULL.
Drive Bob out of whatever exec is channeling him and get us the DVDs!
All I ask is a clean tranfer, reasonably priced.

Review: i appreciate your heads up regarding the 2nd season of twin peaks on dvd.i have the 1st season on dvd-which includes 7 episodes.imagine my dismay if i were to have bought the 2nd season and find that the rest of the episodes-which would be 22 more of them-are not all included.
i own all the vhs tapes..which are in mint condition as i've only viewed them all twice.
i think i will go forward with my plans to have the 2nd season transfered for me by a friend to dvd.if others have vhs tapes in good condition,i suggest this to them also.
what good is it to a peaks freak who has all the episodes on vhs to only have just a few on dvd?would be some major gaps indeed.

Summary: It's Sad But True..
Review: Folks, I wouldn't hold your breath over the release of the second season on dvd. The second season is more than double (almost triple?) the length of first one, and such a package would include (using first season estimates) around 15 dvds and would cost approximately $120. That's a heck of an investment. Now, of course, for the devoted this price tag would not be nearly as important as the contents of the dvds, but for all the other potential buyers (the vast majority), such a high list price would be a deterrant. I personally don't think that the purchasing power of a small number of consumers, such as devoted twin peaks fans (I included), would interest those who own the rights to the second season. To me there only a couple of options for the company who has the power to release this material: they could (1) prolong the release of the second season until there is enough interest to make the production and distribution of it a profitable venture or (2) somehow 'split' the second season into two more affordable chunks (more similar to the first season--this would obviously create an break somewhere in the middle of the season and would be considerably more frustrating to finish with a transitional episode rather than closing, climactic episode). I suppose the former scenario is more likely, but, gosh, who really knows, right? You would think that by seeing the consumers' response to the first season, frickin' paramount would just get on the ball and do an equally stellar job with the second! But no, it's too expennnsive... Sony/Legacy is releasing tons of Miles Davis material on lavish, expensive boxsets all the time, and they can't be selling all that many of them. I can't see why Paramount can't just make a small run of limited edition second season box sets--they will sell out for sure. They can always make more! I don't think the release would really be a risky investment. But until they feel that the market is ready for it, I don't think we'll see a second season with dvd quality. Keep demanding that they release this thing! We can make it happen.

Review: Ah my fellow Twin Peaks fans, I too feel your pain. I recently read in a local DVD publication that Artisan (now owned by Lion's Gate) had ceased production on Season 2; 'cause they couldn't regain the massive bucks that went into the great job they did on Season 1 - it brings a salty tear to my eye when those giant, multi-global conglomerations lose 0.0000000000000000001% of their multi-billion dollar annual revenue because of people like us. Anyway, the same thing happened to us when paramount released a lavish S1 boxset to a less than enthusiastic Australia. Inexorably, they were of course a little apprehensive about releasing a huge, extravagant S2 boxset to the twelve die-hard collectors who were willing to pay the AU$70 price tag that was on season 1 (70 australian dollars is roughly about a U.S. dime). So some smart person at Paramount decided to release S2 in two parts -1 in September, the other in November - Hoorah I say! So a suggestion would be to contact the studio and ask them to do the same, hey it might work. Alternatively, check out dvdcompare(dot)net to locate the best foreign release. Peace - sorry - ecaeP.

Summary: Good news?
Review: Could be good news -- or another letdown. For all it's worth: The Danish distributor is now listing this as available September, 2004. Beware, though, that previous May and November, 2003 deadlines have been passed.

Summary: Does no one understand our TP addiction?
Review: OK -- for those of you who are fellow "Twin Peakers," you probably know what I'm talking about when I say I'm so addicted to the series! I remember being intrigued by the show way back when it originally came out -- I could not get enough.

I recently bought the 1st season on DVD and have already finished the first seven episodes and am craving more. I'd prefer to buy the 2nd season on DVD, but may be forced to get the VHS copies. That just seems so stupid! Even if they only released us TP-2nd series through either special orders or for a limited time, I know my fellow TP addicts would purchase the product. What's the hold up? Somebody...if you're reading, please help!
