Summary: Absolutely Terrifying
Review: Nobody, I repeat - NOBODY has ever played a horror villain as good as Robert Englund. He is the king. As Freddy Krueger, he scared the crap out of millions of people and became a horror icon in the process.

First of all, I don't understand why so many people dislike this movie. It's every bit as dark and frightening as the first, maybe even more so. Yes, you heard me correctly - this is probably MORE frightening than the original. Now, I love the original as much as anyone else, it's a masterpiece in the world of horror films, no doubt. But this sequel is even better, to me.
Another thing is that the plot is completely different from the first one. I've heard many people complain about this, but I don't see what the problem is. I mean, it would've been easy to just copy the same storyline as the original, but here, they create something new and intriguing.
This time, Freddy possesses the body of Jessie, a teenage boy who has just moved into the Elm Street house with his family. His family and his girlfriend are extremely worried about him and puzzled by his wayward behavior. Soon, Jessie discovers that it's Fred Krueger who's trying to possess him and make him murder against his will. Eventually, his girlfriend Lisa is the only one who can end the madness. You'll have to watch it to see what I mean.

There are many frightening scenes in the movie, but there's one in particular that stands out among the rest. I'm referring to the scene in which Jessie stays at his friend Grady's house. Jessie falls asleep soon and it appears that everything is fine. Then, Freddy starts to take possession of Jessie once again, and you can literally see him come out of Jessie's body. Within seconds, Jessie has turned into Freddy, and you have to see the evil smile that comes across Freddy's face. Pay attention to this shot - IT'S ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING. Just the way that he smiles, it's so unbelievably evil that I swear it will send chills down your spine. It scared the living crap out of me as a kid and it still gives me the creeps today. I can't explain it - you just have to see it.

And there are many more scenes that are scary as hell (like the pool party scene, that was a trip). Elsewhere, you get terror on a school bus, dogs with human heads, and plenty of gruesome deaths.
So don't listen to the people who say that this movie sucks. It's every bit as good as the original. If you enjoy having the s**t scared out of you, then get this movie. You won't regret it.

Summary: NOES 2 Shows Why Some Sequels Are Bad
Review: I remember seeing this movie when I was a little kid back in the 80's. I found the classic Part 1 a year before in 1984 pretty scary and was expecting the same for part 2. Man I was wrong. This movie was nothing but a disgusting flick which could not even scary me when I was a liitle boy. I also remembered it for it's gross scenes and lack of suspense. Just because something is bloody-disgusting, does not mean it's scary. The movie takes place five years after the first one (Eventhough it is really one year, 1984 to 1985)anyway, A boy and his family move ito 1428 elm street in Springwood where Nancy from part 1 lived. This boy starts having bad dreams and keeps getting stalked by Freddy. It generally has nothing to do with part one exept the only thing is they refer to Nancy from part 1 a couple times when they found her old diary in the house. Now wh The part where the boy Jesse dream about killing his Gym Teacher Completley Naked, and then found naked in a sidewalk is such a stupid scene that I always laugh everytime I see it. Throughout the movie for some stupid reason they show Jesse wake up every so often drench wet in his underwear wondering what is wrong with him. The scene where freddy comes out of Jesse's body and kills his friend was just sick and not scary. How could Freddy take over someone's body, this not an excorcist movie or something. Isn't Freddy supposed to be strictly a dream stalker, just like all the rest of the NOES film's It never explains why Freddy came out of his body. The part where his baby sister finds plastic freddy claws in a cereal box is hilaurious. The ending just sucked and looked rushed, as Freddy invades teens from a pool party and just disssapears in to thin air. Along with Part 5 and 6, Part 2 is just Horrible and will always be my least favorite in the series. Ofcourse part 3 which should have been the second installment picks up nicely as the best sequel of the series. This sequel is nothing but a joke. If your in to the series here are the best installments of the series from best to worst: 1,3,4,7,5,6,2.

Summary: A WORTHY SEQUEL TO THE SERIES.
Review: This movie seems to catch alot of heat from freddy fans.I personally feel that this movie is unappreciated and quite frankly good.Part 2 catches the dark and suspensful flavor of the original. Some parts dont make much sense but there alot of cool scenes and special effects in the movie.Freddy is still very frightening here unlike the later sequals. To put it simply this movie is almost as frightening as the original.I still prefer the third movie over this one but this movie is still good. Some people claim this is the worst in the series but that honor goes to the fifth one.PEACE OUT.

Summary: You people don't know anything!
Review: I thought it was scary in my opinion at the beginning of the movie where the person was in the bus he was a nice guy at first and he turns into Freddy Krueger that was scary or what about the part where the guy had Freddy's eye in the mouth that was scary too and what grossed me out is that the girl kissed Freddy yuck but I thought it fitted to the whole story as well. It's not the best Nightmare but I think the first one's the best out of all. I got the box set to Nightmare and I really like it but my favorite one like I said is the first it made sense then the others.

Summary: "...he owns me..."
Review: These were the words of 17 year old Jesse Walsh to his girlfriend Lisa when he came to the horrid realization that his soul was the new property of incubus stalker Freddy Krueger. A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 was one of the most imaginative horror films i have ever seen. Many a person says it's the worst of the series but that honor goes to "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare". This gem is set 5 years after the classic original. Ken Walsh with his wife, Marge, son, Jesse, and daughter, Angela move into 1428 Elm Street where Freddy Krueger's second killing spree came to an end at the hands of Nancy Thompson. Everything seems great about the house to the new occupants.. except Jesse. He is having horrible dreams at night about a man that is horribly burnt, dresses dirtily, and wearing a knived glove on his hand. Millions across the world match this description to that of Freddy Krueger. The man who in 1974 murdered over 20 children and hid their bodies in the bowels of his boiler room in which he worked. He was convicted and arrested but some bumbling oaf forgot to fill out the warrant correctly setting him free. The parents tracked him down and torched him. And somehow in 1984 he came back and murdered 4 people via their dreams. Now 5 years later i would say 1989, Jesse is seeing him. His dreamscapes are his home, school, a bar, and even on a school bus. Freddy never takes him to the boiler room. There is a reason for that. Freddy isn't out for blood now. He wants to take Jesse's body and use it as a vehicle to finish his killing spree. Jesse refuses but soon finds out he doesn't have a choice. People start dying and Jesse finds himself to be the murderer. He starts messing up at home and school. He walks off at night during storms and is brought back by the police. His parents want to help him but don't know how. His girlfriend Lisa tries to help but she just angers him. His friend Grady tries to ease things but Jesse gets violent around him. Jesse isn't himself anymore... He isn't in control over his life. only the love of those around him and the words of Nancy Thompson in the strange diary he finds in his closet can save him. But can he defeat evil? Or does Freddy... own him? A heartstopper from start to finish, this installment in the nightmare series added psychological dimensions to flat out horror. At the beginning in Jesse's first dream on the school bus he sees himself as a nerd in his dream. It makes you wonder about that. Everyone dreams of power. Is Freddy making Jesse feel this way? This film is filled with loads of those burning questions and infamous scenes such as the pool party of doom, Freddy's birthing from Jesse's chest, the brain scene, Coach Schneider's death, and the finale in which Freddy melts to the bone. And some of Freddy's most memorable quotes such as "You are all my children now" and "You got the body, I got the brain." It is a true to itself story of fear, possesional magic, and the power of love and friendship. It is a true standout from the other Freddy films. Buy this movie and see how moving into the wrong house can affect your life.. and soul.

Summary: THIS NIGHTMARE ISN'T SCARY.
Review: 2 and a half stars, actually. "A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge" shares some similarities with the original movie, but gone are the beautiful and charismatic heroine Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp), the touch of the director Wes Craven, and the imaginative and hallucinatory sequences from the first part.

Even though, sometimes is an entertaining sequel that several times falls in the mediocrity and conformity of the sequels, Freddy Krueger's diehard fans certainly should be the persons that will enjoy better this flick.

"A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge" is a movie with mixed results, sometimes is good and sometimes is plain ridiculous. The third part proved to be much better than this movie, but still would be far from the original Nightmare. Only for Freddy's fans.

Summary: Revenge is a dish best served... Twice...
Review: An above-average follow-up to the horror film about the demonic killer with long, slashing razors on his fingers, who invades the dreams and bodies of teenagers. This time a high school boy (Mark Patton) is singled out for such treatment when his family occupies the haunted Elm Street residence. Watch closely and you'll notice quite a bit of homoerotic content. Surprisingly underrated especially considering how awful the rest of the sequels are (except for the compelling and multilayered "New Nightmare").

Summary: Proof That Sequels Aren't As Good As The Originals.
Review: The first movie in this series was scary and original. This sequel to that movie is so horrible, that no word in the human language can describe it.In this movie,Freddy takes control of some gay boy's body.Very stupid. This is one of the worst sequels I have ever seen in my entire life. The scene where the gay boy meets the gym teacher in the crossdressing bar and the gym teacher has him run laps is very stupid.Lots of stupidness.Stupid Stupid Stupid!!!Avoid this movie at all.Oh by the way, since he doesn't stalk your dreams in this movie, feel free to go to sleep.

Summary: Good movie,weak sequel
Review: A Nightmare on Elm Street is one of the best movies from the 80's so Nightmare 2:Freddy's Revenge tends to be bashed for being too slow or for being too much of a departure from the original.I personnaly believe this movie is in-between.Certainly nowhere near the original but there are many worse movies. So,anyway, the best horror icon from the 80's,Freddy,is back and he wants to possess a boy's body to keep going with the killing. Here's a huge change compared to the original.I admit it's weird to see a Nightmare where nightmares aren't the main attraction but there are still a few to see.In this sequel,Freddy is just like he is in the original. So he does not have a whole lot of dialogue and he's still very much in the dark.If you expect a movie as scary as the original,though.....The cast is decent but I find myself preferring the original's cast.Of course, one of the movie's weirdest parts,it's all the homoerotic content. It's kinda intriguing because you get to wonder what Jesse's sexual preferences are but it's never taken very far.The first half of the movie is mostly watchable but it does not pick up until the second half which is disappointing. The original was great from beginning to end. This one has so many slow spots that you might lose interest before the fun begins. The climax of the movie isn't quite as bad as people claim.I like it but the original was more satisfying overall.Well, this movie deserves 3 stars in my opinion.Good movie but it pales compared to its prequel and that's what I hate.

Summary: NOT AS GOOD AS THE FIRST BUT A GOOD HORROR MOVIE
Review: THIS IS THE 2ND SCARIEST NIGHTMARE MOVIE, BEFORE FREDDY FOUND HIS HUMOR. ANYWAY 4 STARS.
