she did a great job. -I wish the writer stayed with the
fact that Tommy Jarvis is a still a bit of Looney from

Part V. -"A New Beginning." -Instead; -they intend two

Summary: The best one of the series
Review: Years after he killed Jason, Tommy Jarvis is paranoid that he is not really dead. So he and a friend dig up his grave. Tommy completly loses it and grabs a metal fence pole and stabs Jason again. During a lightening storm. Bad mistake. Lightening strikes the pole and jolts Jason back to life. Now Tommy is on the run, the sheriff of Forest Glen thinks he is psycho and throws him in jail. Jason finds his way back to the camp to begin another murder spree.

The best one of the series since the original. Full of humor and gory killing scenes. The beginning James Bond sequence rocks. The sound track by Alice Cooper is the bomb. Watch this movie. If you don't, Jason will come for you. Tonight!

"I've seen enough horror movies to know any wierdo wearing a mask is never friendly"

Summary: The Best Of The Series!
Review: This movie is by FAR my favorite one in the whole series! It beats the first one (which was HORRIBLE) by a longshot! You can't miss out on this one. They definitely did a great job with the storyline and the acting. This is a must-see!

Summary: A better sequel than most people think.
Review: 1986 was the year that saw Jason Vorhees reinvented as a zombie (his form was not so apparent in earier installments), and with better results than one might expect. At this point, the series had long since run out of steam and, for the better, stopped taking itself seriously. While some consider this to be one of the lesser sequels, I actually consider it to be one of the best ones.

Tommy Jarvis (Jason's arch nemesis of sorts) decides to go to Jason's grave, thus proviong to himself that he is truly dead. Obviously, this turns out to be a serious mistake. Jason is reanimated by a lightning bolt and dons the hockey mask once again, and he wastes no time in returning to crystal lake to continue is rampages. With all Friday the 13th movies, only the faces and names change. The rest is a formula that the fans love, and it never varies. The deaths are as violent as ever, and there is no shortage of victims.

What makes part VI stand out? The fact that is knows it's limitations and decides to inject comedy and self-parody. The acting here is also better than usual, for the genre. What struck me is the atmosphere, which is creepier than ever. The entire movie takes place in the summer camp, and the woods around it, with plenty of tense night scenes in the foggy woods, where we know Jason is lurking.

The Paramount DVD is another word for mediocrity, since these releases are devoid of any suppliments. The teaser trailer (ie. short and without any footage from the movie) is the only addition, besides some unattractive new cover art. As with most Friday the 13th movies, Part VI is also heavily cut (this was done in order to appease the MPAA at the time of release). Do these movies deserve 2-disc sets with commentary and featurettes? That's debateable. However, considering the success of these movies at the box office, it is not unthinkable. Fans deserve better.

Friday the 13th movies have always been high on my "guilty pleasures" list, and Part VI is one of the best. Though the DVD release is nothing to get excited about, the movie itself is still worth it for those times than only a good slasher movie will do.

Summary: A good friday movie
Review: I agree with the reviewer that said this should have been the sequal to 4. This is a really good horror movie. In this movie Jason is back and he is better than ever. In this movie tommy jarvis once again has to face jason when camp crystal lake is finally reopened to kids and Jason starts picking people of at the camp. This movie is not only scary but it is very funny mabey evan more than scary, but that just adds to its appeal. This is definitely one of the best films in the friday the 13th series and more than makes up for part 5.

Summary: Excellent Sequel !
Review: Wow, I was amazed when viewing Part 6. This is probably the first of the series with more thrills, humor, and of course... the return of Tommy Jarvis. Part 6: Jason Lives, should have definately been the 5th movie in the series. The movie starts off with Tommy explaining what happened to him when he was a kid (Part 4) and why he is hunting Jason. This is one of the Friday the 13th films in which you actually care about a few of the characters such as the Jarvis family in Part 4. Two other things I liked about Part 6 was Alice Cooper's "Man Behind the Mask" theme song and the fact that Part 6 doesn't refer to Part 5 which is a definate plus. I consider Part 6 a direct sequel to Part 4.

Summary: One of the better Friday the 13th movies!
Review: Jason returns from the grave in this one as his old pal, Tommy Jarvis (played this time by Thom Matthews) digs him up, hoping to destroy him for good. Well, now he's out stalking the next generation of camp counselors.

This one plays like an old-school horror film with the Sheriff who of course doesn't believe that there is a killer in his town. This movie has a sense of humor which helps seperate it from the predicatble killing spree format of the last few films though don't be confused, Jason still slashes, chops, and butchers his way through a new group of victims.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: SHOCKINGLY, THIS ONE MANAGES TO BE PRETTY GOOD
Review: THIS SEQUEL IS MUCH, MUCH BETTER THAN 4 AND 5 PUT TOGETHER. IN THIS ONE, JASON IS STRUCK BACK TO LIFE BY LIGHTNING. AS JASON CONTINUES HIS VIOLENT KILLING SPREE IN CRYSTAL LAKE [HERE, THEY CHANGED THE NAME TO CAMP FOREST GREEN], EVERYONE THINKS JASON'S STILL DEAD UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE. THIS MOVIE IS REALLY ENJOYABLE, AND IT'S NOT AS GORY AS THE FIRST FIVE FILMS WERE. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I STILL THINK THIS SERIES SHOULD'VE ENDED AT PART 4, BUT, THIS ONE IS VERY GOOD. AN ENTERTAINIG MOVIE FOR ANY HORROR FAN.
