Summary: Clever. A Suprisingly Entertaining Sequel.
Review: Alright, so the story is a little far-fetched. But what does that matter? The acting in this tragic/horrific tale is almost just as good as it was in Carrie. Emily Bergl is great as the troubled Rachel Lang. She lives up to the performace Sissy Spacek delivered in the original. The "kill the teenagers" sequence at the end is much more graphic than it was in Carrie 1. Overall, this is a good movie, and could be watched by anyone, espically fans of Brian De'Palmas original.

Summary: Telekinesis runs in the family
Review: Been 4 years since I've seen this movie, and I'm just now gettin' the DVD. Don't get me wrong now, the original Carrie is a classic, but The Rage: Carrie 2 improves on it in a lot of ways. Call it a another teen movie, a remake, a modernized version of the first, whatever. Yes, the effect at the end with the vine-like veins on her body was very sweet. Give it a chance.

For those that dig metal/industrial music, check out the soundtrack.

Summary: Where has all the talent gone?
Review: I am absolutely amazed at the number of people who think this garbage is on a par (and some say, even better!) with the original Brian DePalma/Sissy Spacek version. All I can say is this: If the reviewers who say they like this rank piece of !@#$% are truly the leaders of tomorrow, then we are in deep, deep trouble. To compare this "director" and "actress" (I cringe even as I use the words) to the brilliant DePalma and Spacek is sacrilegious. Don't hold your breath waiting for Emily Bergl to ever be nominated for an Oscar, much less win it! Any money that this movie makes, and if it made more than $100 there is no justice in the world, is directly attributable to the brilliant original. I can't say that I'm surprised at the total lack of acting, directing, suspense, and intrigue that this movie has in spades, but I am very disappointed in Amy Irving attaching herself to this drivel just for the paycheck. This is a very disturbing trend in movies...this mentality that apparently exists with producers to slap together directors who can't direct, actors who can't act, screenwriters unapologetically virtually plagiarizing the original and calling it a new and better effort. God help us all!!!
