Summary: X-FILES FANS REJOICE!
Review: Anybody who loves the X-Files (on TV) will LOVE the X-Files movie! Mulder and Scully uncover many things that have been witheld during the series...although Scully still doesn't see the UFO - even when it flies right over her head! AND there are many "touchy-feely" moments for the two...it's awesome. You see both Mulder and Scully at their best - they even tell a few jokes!! IT ROCKS.

Summary: DID THE T.V. SHOW A LOT OF JUSTICE!
Review: THIS MOVIE WAS SO GOOOD. IT WAS AWESOME HOW THEY MADE IT SO EVEN THOSE CRAZY PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY NEVER WATCH THE T.V. SHOW CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT IT HAPPENING. NOW THEY CAN BECOME X-FILE FANS AND MAKE OUR SHOW EVEN MORE POPULAR.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Necessary for enjoyment of the series
Review: This movie was uncomfortably long, and was not even among the best storylines that could have been chosen for the movie. I don't think making an extra-long episode is the same as making a movie. Too much of the mystery surrounding the X-Files was revealed-making the movie necessary to understanding the continuing TV show. Forcing the public to pay for the movie just so they can continue enjoying the TV show is not a good practice.

Summary: "X-Files Fans" are given their monies worth.
Review: X-Files fans will truely enjoy this movie. It explains the story more in-depth and gives die-hard fans what they have been waiting for since the end of last season. In addition, the first episode of this season "picks-up" where the movie ends.

For those new to the X-Files, you may feel a sense of drowning - trying to keep your head above the plot. That being said, the movie stands on its own and provides great entertainment value to anyone from the hardcore X-Files junkie to your parents. <grin>

Summary: The Proof Is Out There - Multi-Million $$ Advertising Works!
Review: If you bill it - they will come!

Unfortunately, as a die-hard X-Files fan, I was disappointed with the film. Somehow, Mulder & Scully just seem to look better off of the big screen. Sure, it had some good special effects, a decent plot, and a good supporting cast, but it will most likely leave X-File fanatics feeling a bit cheated.

On the up-side, however, unlike the theatre release, the video contains the deleted footage regarding Mulder's sister (Samantha). Sorry ladies - the alleged Duchovny "booty-shot" is just a myth...

A good movie to add to your X-Files Series collection, and eerily enjoyable for first time X'ers.

Summary: X-CELLENT
Review: AS A DEDICATED "X-PHILE"NOW ENETERING MY 6TH SEASON , I WAITED EAGERLY FOR THE X-FILES FEATURE FILM THIS SUMMER, AND WAS WAITING IN LINE THE NIGHT IT OPENED TO GET MY FOLLOW-UP TO THE SEASON FIVE CLIFFHANGER. I NEVER DREAMED OF BEING THE LEAST BIT DIASSAPPOINTED - AND I WAS NOT. THANKS TO THE STERN HAND OF CREATOR CHRIS CARTER AND HIS TEAM OF 'X-PERTS', THE X-FILES IS A WEEKLY DOSE OF TELEVISION EXCELLENCE. STORIES THAT AMAZE AND CONFUSE, CHARACTERS THAT TURN YOUR STOMACH AND TUG AT YOUR HEARTSTRINGS, AND BEST OF ALL,THE PRESENCE OF AGENTS FOX MULDER AND DANA SCULLY , WHO WILL DRIVE YOU POSITIVELY INSANE BY THEIR ACTIONS - AND SOMETIMES BY THEIR LACK OF ACTIONS. IF YOU WATCH FAITHFULLY, THERE IS NO QUESTION THAT YOU MUST MAKE THIS A PART OF YOUR COLLECTION - ALONG WITH ALL THE TELEVISED EPISODES. BUT NEW VIEWERS NEED HAVE NO FEAR. " THE X-FILES - FIGHT THE FUTURE" IS INFORMATIVE ENOUGH TO BE FOLLOWED AND ENJOYED BY EVEN THE MOST INEXPERIENCED 'X' WATCHER. ADDED FOOTAGE INCLUDED ON THE VIDEO RELEASE (BUT NEVER SHOWN IN THEATRES) CLEARS UP A QUESTION OR TWO, BUT AS WITH ALL THE X-FILES, WITH EACH QUESTION ANSWERED, TWO MORE QUESTIONS ARE ASKED. IF YOUR LOOKING TO ADD A MOVIE TO YOUR HOME LIBRARY, INSTEAD OF GIANT LIZZARDS OR EARTH DESTROYING METEORS, OR DOCTORS WHO HOLD CONVERSATIONS WITH GUINEA PIGS, PICK UP "THE X-FILES". THE TRUTH IS IN HERE. TRUST ME.

Summary: I loved the movie
Review: I thought this was a great movie. I guess it doesn't hurt that I love the X-Files anyway, but still this was one of the best movies that I have ever seen, and I would recomend it to anyone.

Summary: This movie is awesome!
Review: This movie has it ALL! Shippy moments, action-adventure, and some great plot twists. If you ever wanted to know what The X-Files is about, watch this movie! If you watch the show religiously (like me) then you already know this is the greatest because you've watched it so many times your tape is worn out already.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Satisfying for TV viewers, but made to entice new fans.
Review: I'm a true blue (green?) "X-Files" fan, but the movie was dissappointing in that it did not (as the advertising and hype claimed) reveal or resolve many series-long mysteries. Nor did it seem to promise many new ones. However, for newbies to the series, the movie does a good job of standing on its own, without much pre-knowledge of the TV series needed to follow the rather average plot.

Played like back-to-back episodes of the series, which is a credit to the TV show and a slam at series creator Chris Carter, who should have aimed to please his core audience instead of going commercial. Many episodes from the TV show had more originality than the movie: see "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" or "Jose Chung's From Outer Space" or "Little Green Men." And where was Alex Krycek??

Still, as a die hard fan, I must reccommend this movie. Scene between Mulder & Scully in Mulder's apartment halfway through the movie is worth the price of admission!
