Summary: Very cool despite being the worst Chucky film
Review: Child's Play 3 is easily the worst installment of the Child's Play series. The first movie was awesome, the second was just as good, but this doesn't quite stack up to them. Now this added an extremely cool twist to the series: Chucky in a military school. He could really kick a$$ there. He does, but for some reason, just isn't as cool as in the first two. Here are some problems CP 3 has: the story is extremely predictable, the direction is a little weak, and compared to the other three CP films,it just doesn't stack up.I still liked CP 3 very much. The death scenes are great and pretty damn gory, the special F/X are great, the gore is pretty high so if your looking for gore, you won't be disappointed at all.Chucky also has some awesome one-liners here.CP 3 is still worth buying and checking out.

Rated R for some pretty gruesome death scenes and lots of salty language.

Summary: Look who's Stalking
Review: CHILD'S PLAY 3 Again has some brains behind the now aging idea, enough to keep the franchise interesting for another flick or two.

This time around, it's eight years after the mayhem of the first two films, and he "Good Guy" doll company is ready to put the doll back out on the market. The rebuild "Chucky" from the mound of plastic debris he lft behind in part 2. Chucky (voiced yet again by Brad Dourif) naturally comes back to life, and finds that his intended victim from the first film is now enrolled in a military school. Andy Barclay (this time played by Justin Whalin) has of course, been traumatized by not one, but two encounters with the killer doll. He's treated as a sociopath for his wimpyness.

Meanwhile, Chucky arrives athe school, having mailed himself to the school. However, he is intercepted by antother eight-year old student. Chucky decides that he can use the kid as the new adress for his soul, and it isn't long before Andy has discovered Chucky's plan. It also isn't long before the blood starts flyin'.

I don't live in the U.S., I've been living in South Korea for a long time. I've just recently ordered all the CHILD'S PLAY movies over the internet, so they'll be here soon, but the truth is, it's been three years since I saw LOOK WHO'S STALKING, and it scared the hell out of me. That's just something the CHILD'S PLAY franchise has within that you can't get over. It's scary, unlike it's kin, Jason and Michael. Forget those losers, they can only kill people that are so painfully incompetant, that they actually go upstairs instead of out the front door, as an unsually bright and three-dimensional character adressed in SCREAM.

No, Chucky's up there with Freddy, and even the most legendary on-screen killer of all time, Norman Bates. There's one scene where Chucky doesn't even have to stab a victim, the guy simply drops dead of fright. He's one mean little A-hole.

Of course, by the time part 3 had rolled around, the CHILD'S PLAY franchise was starting to get a little tired, so the filmmakers chose to make this the last CHUCKY film for a while. LOOK WHO'S STALKING was very good, but it had drained the franchise of all it's energy to get to be as good as it was. Airgo, BRIDE OF CHUCKY didn't arrive until 1998, 7 years after CHILD'S PLAY 3:LOOK WHO'S STALKING. That was ultimately the right choice, but I still reccommend part 3 to anyone reading my review. Don't just let us critics decide for you. I did give it 5 stars for a reason, didn't I?

Summary: Will it be 3 strikes and you're out for Chucky?
Review: Andy, the boy that the evil "Good Guy" has always terrorized, is a teenager now. After enrolling in a military school and beginning to experience the downsides of being the new kid in town, the last thing Andy needs is to be reminded of his horrible past (Chucky). The last thing Andy would want to hear about is Chucky, but Chucky sure is dying to hear from Andy.

Ever since I was a kid, I've always been a major fan of the "Child's Play" movies. Unlike many people, I like the first three films in the saga. I don't really want to say it, but "Child's Play 3" isn't quite as good as the first two movies in this classic horror series, but it's certainly not far behind.

In "Child's Play 3," there are still tons of blood baths that all have Chucky's name on them, and almost everything else about the film is well done. The acting is good enough, the special effects aren't bad, and the movie itself is suspenseful, and it never gets boring. However, as great as it is, it's just doesn't quite live up to the greatness of its two predecessors. I guess the main reason I think that, is because the killings don't seem to be as exciting and the movie itself isn't as scary as the other two.

If you're a fan of the first two movies in the series or if you like the classic kinds of horror films in which killing sprees are the name of the game, I recommend adding "Child's Play 3" to your collection.

Summary: WELL, THIS IS WHAT I DIDN'T WANT TO SEE
Review: THIS TIME, CHUCKY GETS YET ANOTHER NEW BODY. HE QUICKLY GOES AFTER ANDY BARCLEY AGAIN, WHO IS BY THE WAY, 16 YEARS OLD AND IS A STUDENT AT A MILITARY SCHOOL. HOWEVER, A YOUNG BLACK KID IS TOLD BY CHUCKY THE SECRET OF HIS TRUE IDENTITITY AND NOW HE'S THE TARGET. DEFINITELY NOT AS ENTERTAINING AS THE FIRST TWO MOVIES. ONE THING THEY SHOULD'VE NEVER DONE WAS SHOW ANDY AS A TEENAGER. THEY SHOULD'VE KEPT SHOWING HIM AS A KID. HAD THEY DONE THAT ONE THING, THIS SEQUEL WOULD'VE TURNED OUT A LOT BETTER. ONE THING THAT WAS GOOD ABOUT THIS MOVIE IS ITS FINALE, WHICH TAKES PLACE IN A CARNIVAL. MUCH OF THE STUFF THAT LEADS UP TO THE FINALE IS MEDIOCRE. JUSTIN WHALIN JUST RUINED THE DIRECTION OF THE ANDY BARCLEY CHARACTER. THANK GOD FOR BRAD DOURIF. WITHOUT HIM, THIS SEQUEL WOULD'VE BEEN MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO WATCH. FOLLOWED BY BRIDE OF CHUCKY.

Summary: Child's Play 3 - Not A Bad Sequel
Review: Child's Play 3 came out in 1991, exactly one year after the last sequel, Part II. Reviewers despised it, of course, because they hate everything. This, overall, is not a bad sequel. Yes, it is my least favorite of the series, but can be enjoyable.

Andy Barclay (Justin Whalin this time) has been sent to military school, where everybody decides that he can get some good discipline and forget all the mayhem that the killer doll, Chucky, has done through his life.

Meanwhile, the Good Guy Doll company decide to make Chucky again. They think that they should try and forget what has been said about before and make everyone like Chucky again. This leads to our deranged, homicidal doll coming back to life and trying to find Barclay. Chucky travels to the military school and finds a new boy who he could transfer his soul into. Andy finds out and tries to stop him, while everybody else thinks he's crazy. Chucky begins his rampage, while Andy desperately tries to help Chucky's target.

This movie is not scary at all. I don't think any of the Chucky movies are, except for Part I. That was a bit creepy, because we didn't exactly know who Chucky was. In this one, Chucky just kills people and makes jokes about how he did it. Don't come looking for a scary movie!

The acting in this movie is okay. Justin Whalin plays a believable Andy, but he didn't really act like the little Andy we used to know. That's okay though. The rest of the cast were your stereo-typical characters. There was the tough girl who likes Andy, his nerdy friend, his soldier enemy, and many more predictable characters.

Overall, this movie deserves a rental. You might want to stay away from this if you hate Chucky movies, because that's what it is. It is also not for little children. Chucky cusses pervasively and kills a lot of people in gory ways.

RATED R for very strong violence/gore, language, and some disturbing images.

Summary: Who writes these movies?
Review: If you're over 14 you probably won't like this movie. I was really into it when it came out over a decade ago, but now it is completely unwatchable. It's nothing more than a silly puppet-show with "wacky" one-liners. It's so lame how they shake the little dolly to make him appear mad, when he's strangling someone. This movie takes place at a military academy and poor Andy is being pushed around by the big bad drill seargent, the big meanie! Oohhh... So dull.

Summary: Chucky makes his way to boot camp...and DVD!
Review: No, "Child's Play 3" isn't a magnificent film by any stretch of the imagination. So why do I think it is worth watching? It is purely entertaining. It has plenty of gore and plenty of those classic Chucky one-liners. The military setting also benefited the movie, giving it a different feel than the others and making it all much more fresh (I especially appreciated the paintball gag). I have been wanting this movie to be released on DVD for the longest time, and finally, Universal has answered my wishes -- that's the only logical explanation I can come up with, because I know there wasn't a swarm of fans lobbying for this release -- it's the most hated in the series! But I love it. If I felt guilty about loving it, then I guess I would call it a guilty pleasure. But I digress. "Child's Play 3" finds our poor, tortured little Andy growing up. He's stopped playing with dolls, but at age 16, he seems to have caused enough trouble to land him in military school (can't see what he did wrong -- although judging by Justin Whalin's performance, all those foster homes didn't appreciate the whining or the moping). However, Chucky has been absurdly resurrected and follows Andy, only to realize that there is new blood to be spilled. Overall, I don't see anything bad about this movie. It's the third in a horror franchise that was low-budget to begin with. The Chucky doll looks better and moves much more fluidly than in the first two. The peripheral characters may be insignificant, but are colorful and either easy to love or easy to hate (always a good asset for a horror movie.). Fans of Chucky & this series will surely find something they like in this, all others are advised to just stay away. The DVD is somewhat disappointing, saved by the novelty of the movie being available on DVD for the the first time. All we are treated to is a theatrical trailer. However, if you are a fan of the movie, it is worth buying the DVD because is isn't very expensive in the first place and the picture & sound quality makes the purchase worth it.
