Summary: Excelent Movie
Review: Kirikou et la Sorciere is an excelent film. It is a refreshing break from the Disney format, and is one of the more imaginative and creative animated films I have seen in a long time. The animation is beautiful, the music is wonderful, and it both maintains a distinct African identity, and provides a thoughtful, universal story. I highly recomend it for all ages.

Summary: Hilarious and Witty Adventure
Review: My french class watched Kirikou over a period of about a week for the last 15 minutes of class. It was what everyone looked forward to. We just finished it today, and I loved it! It was so original and unique;it was a movie unlike any that I had ever seen. i seemed to fall in love with the main character, Kirikou, because of his personality described. Also, the music is phenomenal! Its got an quick rythm and tune that one could sing for hours and not get bored of! I would recommend this DVD to anyone who simply wants to watch a good movie.

Summary: Kirikou Quickly Favorite Movie
Review: We watched this movie once in Paris and it quickly became a household favorite. We immediately set out to buy it. Kids will love the action adventure of this little boy who can do anything he puts his mind to. Parents will love the messages it presents of resilience, patience, and love. It's got great music, and is wonderfully animated. The story is taken from an actual African tale. There is nudity for those with puritanical values to be aware of, however it is not provocative. I would encourage everyone to at least watch this movie once. If you do, the majority will want to own it forever. My son (age 3), his cousins (ages 1-12), and all of his friends (ages 2-6), absolutely love this movie. Kirikou is KIRIKOOL!
