Summary: Disney's best
Review: This is by far disney's best animation ever!

Mowgli is sassy, resourceful and independent without being in the least bit irritating. Something none of todays animation movies (with the exception of chicken run) seem capable of achieveing.

This is long before the days of computerized everything, each scene is a genius work of just watercolors and ink pen.

The most hilarious scenes are those of Col hathi and his jungle march. The jazz bit with the monkeys is a very close second.

"The bare necessities of life..." could be the byword by which we live.

Sher khan, Col. haathi evoke days of british imperialism with ease. These characters and those of Kaa, Bhageera, Bhalo and of couse Mowgli will surely live on forever in the hearts of those of us who were young and innocent when this movie came out.

Hopefully the video will bring home the magic to my kids and everyone in their generation.

Summary: wonderful entertainment for the entire family
Review: This is one of Disney's best. The story is not too dark - like I think that Bambi or Dumbo are. It has great music and a nice story with enough excitement to keep the kids riveted. Additionally, it provides nostalgia for parents and grandparents who enjoyed the movie the first time around.

Summary: They don't make 'em like this anymore.
Review: After watching this movie with my kids after not having seen it for many years, I realized how great this movie was and is. Sure, the animation is not up to the technology of CGI or other advances of today, but the story and songs are unsurpassed. "I wanna be like you" is still my all-time favorite song and movie scene!!!

Summary: Fantastic!!!
Review: Our 2.5 year old can't get enough. He loves the elephant marching scene and the apes dancing. He laughs everytime he watches it. My favorite part is when he sings "It's a bear neccessity". Great movie for the kids and parents to enjoy. You won't get tired of watching your kid laugh through the movie...garanteed to put any kid in a good mood.

Summary: Best movie of all time, no competition anywhere else
Review: Hey, i am eddie ducrest and i am 15 years old, i recently was digging through some old movies and came upon one i had seen wen i was really young, i was bored, so i popped it in the old vhs player and let it rip, IT TOTALLY BLEW ME AWAY, i coudlnt beleive it, the music was awsome, the characters cracked me up. I havent seen a better movie since. There is just something magical about it. I think since it was disneys last movie it will live on forever. My favorite charictor i would have to say would be King Louis, the monkey king. The story has a little something for everyone, it always makes me laugh when i watch it, and i always sing along. I would have given this movie more than five stars but it wasnt an option, i would give this movie Infinate stars. i would like to thank walt disney, and everyone else who helped create this wonderfull maserpeice.

Summary: Catchy kid-and-parent pleaser
Review: My three year old is fascinated by the characters and never tires from acting out or mouthing along to the classic scenes. Yes, this is classic Disney, and it is a beautiful story well told. Beware the scare factor for some smaller kids - the intense atmosphere of the jungle and some of the "suspense" scenes can have 3-year olds concerned to the point of being turned off the movie alltogether.

Summary: Picture Quality...
Review: I was watching TJB with friends last night and we all noticed how ORANGE Shere Khan was for the first time...just wanted to add how sharp this DVD is--even if lacking bonus features. This movie really polished up well!
