Summary: Okay, but not riveting
Review: My 2-year-old loved the picture of Elmo on the box, but didn't seem to get into the video very much. I think it might be disconcerting to see all of the cast transported into historical costume and such - especially with so many guest stars instead of the regular people in the show. It was cute, but not what I'm usually looking to get for her from Sesame Street. Definitely strictly entertainment with little to no educational value (other than the standard Cinderella lesson of being nice to others).

Summary: Great movie
Review: My 20 month old is VERY active and it takes something good to keep her attention. This movie did just that. She loves singing, "step to the left...shake, shake, shake" and even has Mommy and Daddy up singing along and doing the motions. We have bought this movie for a lot of the kids in our family and they like it too.

Summary: A must see video for all ages
Review: My child is 16 months old and loves this video. Whenever it is on, you can not pull her away from it. She loves the songs and even does her best to do the 'dance'. It is so entertaining, I don't mind watching it with her over and over. I can't say that about other videos. It is a wonderful video for all ages...adults too!

Summary: great movie for a 2 year old
Review: My daughter absolutely loves this movie! She's an Elmo fanatic, so I highly reccomend this for any other Elmophile out there. I myself enjoyed watching it, especially because of Oliver Platt's performance as the Fairy Godperson, and, of course, Grover, who basically steals the whole show. If you enjoy a good Sesame Street movie, you'll definately enjoy this one. It has alot of replay value and the songs are really fun and pleasant, as opposed to irritating and overly repetitive.

Summary: Not for my 1 year old....YET!
Review: My daughter, who just turned 1, has been an Elmo fan for a little while now. This is the only thing with Elmo that she doesn't like. She wouldn't watch more than 5 minutes of it. It's much different from other of his videos. It's more scripted and less animated than his normal segments. I think it would be more popular with 2 or 3 year olds, especially if they're familiar with Cinderella. I loved it and am saving it. I'm sure my daughter will warm to it in the upcoming months.

Summary: My favorite Elmo video
Review: My son has six Elmo videos, and this one is the best. The songs are witty, and delightful for both kids and adults- you'll be watching it too. The fairy godfather inspires Elmo to fulfill his dream, instead of poofing it into existence. There is absolutely nothing annoying about this video; no whiney, cranky,or phony characters. The message is to make your own dreams come true. The acting is fabulous and all the Sesame street favorites; Cookie monster, Telly monster, Bert and Ernie, Zoe, Baby Bear are there. Overall, it has a very good feeling-- not stressed out like Elmopalooza or nagging like Elmocize.

Summary: Cute, but a bit thin
Review: My two year old loves Elmo in Grouchland, so I was on the lookout for a new Elmo video for him. I read some other reviews at Amazon.com and ordered CinderElmo. I watched it with my son when it arrived, and we both liked it; but not as much as we both enjoy Elmo in Grouchland. The songs in CinderElmo aren't as catchy as they are in Elmo in Grouchland -- I don't catch myself humming them as I do Together Forever or One Foot in Front of the Other. It wasn't a bad video; just not as good as Elmo in Grouchland. It's a good back-up video if your toddler just can't get enough Elmo-action from Grouchland.

Summary: Good message
Review: My two year old loves watching this DVD, and although I prefer more education shows, this one isn't too bad. There's an excellent message from the fairy godfather (godperson) about going out and making something happen vs. waiting around for someone to magically fix everything for you.

Summary: Elmo Goes to the Ball, and your kids will have one!
Review: Of all the Elmo viewing out there, I highly recommend Cinder Elmo. My 18 month-old twins talk about it all the time, and try to sing the easy lyrics. We even listen to the cassette tape in the car.

It's no Rodgers & Hammerstein production, but Henson's work never fails to give us parents something to smirk about. It's a blast that grows on you. I find myself sitting through it often, and enjoying dancing and singing along with the kids. Oliver Platt as the Fairy Godperson is endearing, Kathy Najimy is the nicest Evil StepMother you will ever meet.

Our 21st Century empowering moral is, "If you've got a dream, do something!" I will have tough time explaining who Cinderella after this video! All's well that ends well. Henson's company does it again, and better than ever. END
