Summary: Hilarious and Heart Warming Movie!
Review: I am a 18 year old teenage girl and I loved this movie! It is so funny and all the characters are adorable, ecspecially Sid the sloth and the little baby! No matter what age you are, this movie is meant for all.

Summary: I ALMOST cried (I don't cry, because I'm too big of a man!)
Review: What a great animated movie. The story teaches everyone about teamwork, sticking together, and surviving in hard times. Manfred, Sid, and Diego are instantly loveable characters and the little "Bonebags" will get you hooked as well. The ending is a tearjerker, and the story is a great perspective from the animal's point of view. Buy it for your little one, buy it for yourself as well!

Summary: Best film, great voice talent and wonderful animation
Review: This was a hysterical film, full of sarcasm and really funny dialog. Ray Romano, John L. and Dennis Leary were fabulous and it is a testment to the enjoyability of this film that I purchased it when it was first released and have yet to buy Monsters Inc.
Don't get me wrong MI was cute and funny but Ice Age was not just a kiddie film. The story tellers understod that animation isn't just for kids, something the Japanese have known for decades. And so this film is wonderfully humorus without being to babyish. That having been said this is still a great film for kids and that is why I liked it so much..Disney has been spending too much time on most of its recent films dumbing down its films for the younger audiences instead of trying to make it work for all ages. If you want to see a good Disney film that doesn't play dumb rent or buy Lilo and Stich this film is like Ice Age in that it is great for kids and teaches some good lessons about family just like Ice Age does..and it is great for adults too.
I was also really impressed with the quality of the animation. Very realistic, PIXAR isn't the only computer animation group out there that can do this..

Summary: Nice Meshing of Character and Star Personalities
Review: "Ice Age" is an animated adventure set during the last ice age. It follows the exploits of Manfred the mammoth (voiced by Ray Romano), Sid the sloth (voiced by John Leguizamo), and Diego the saber-toothed tiger (voiced by Denis Leary) as they attempt to return a human child to its 'herd'.

The real charm of this movie is the differing personalities that each main character has and how they really draw on their human voicers own personalities. Manfred is the easily upset nominal leader. Sid is the goofy gabber who's always getting in trouble. Diego is the sarcastic smart-mouth who has a hidden agenda.

Not being an eight-year-old I can't really say how this movie would appeal to someone of that age. However, there is certainly enough entertainment for an adult that you won't be bored senseless if you buy it for a little kid. The funniest parts of the movie are the traveling banter that goes on between the three characters, especially between Manfred and Sid.

As far as animated movies go this is not a bad effort.

Summary: I LOVE Scrat!
Review: Okay, this is a great movie and I don't mean just for kids. If anything, rent or buy this JUST for Scrat that adorable prehistoric squirrel. Every part he's in is funny, and he even has his own little cartoon movie DVD that comes with this. Viva Scrat!

Summary: "I'm not fat. It's all this hair. It makes me look poofy."
Review: Carlos Saldanha and Chris Wedge's "Ice Age" is a worthy challenger to the Pixar's computer animation empire. It does not have the technical polish or strong characterizations of "Toy Story" or "Monsters, Inc." but it is still a strong endeavor that doesn't embarrass anyone associated with it. If anything, "Ice Age" is proof that quality animated entertainment is not the sole domain of Disney.

While traveling south on a migratory trek, Manfred the Mammoth (Ray Romano) and Sid the Sloth (John Leguizamo) come upon a human child. Determined to reunite the child with his "herd" of humans, the odd duo is joined by Diego the Sabertooth (Denis Leary). Diego, unbeknownst to his traveling companions, actually wants to find the humans for his fellow tigers. The threesome start to bond with each other as they overcome one peril after another and Diego is ultimately forced to decide whether his loyalty remains with the predatory tigers or with his newfound family.

Animated films have become more intelligent to keep up with the increased sophistication of today's younger audiences. This means that the animated fare of recent years now have enough substance to keep adults interested in them also. The clever discourse in "Ice Age" that addresses the topics of evolution, extinction, and the implications of humankind's changing relationship with the other creatures on the planet is definitely headier than what is usually seen on Saturday morning cartons. Yet, the intellectual dialogue is still subtle enough as to not thwart very young children who are only interested in seeing some cute and funny animals. All of the voice talents shine with Romano being a particular stand-out. "Ice Age" may not the most accurate representation of the far past but it sure is an amusing one.

Summary: Foster Family Love
Review: I was crying in the end of this movie. I am not a kid but I still watch the animated cartoon movies because they are better than Hollywood's common nonsense violent movies. This movie is all about love, love, love, and love. You will see a lot of animals that are extinct already. Hey!!! You careful not to cry. OK? I loved everything about this movie. So if you want to watch good stuff, you better hurry and buy this movie. Sure you won't be disappointed.

Summary: I can watch it every day!
Review: I think this movie is the bomb! It is funny, and I am friends with 2 people that produced and directed the movie. It is the greatest especially when the characters slid on the ice trying to get the baby.

Summary: Great Movie
Review: My three year old loves it. I thought it was good, but I get bored with it because most of the animation is snow and ice. Boring. I also don't care much for Ray Ramano's voice.

Summary: One of the best Animated Movies
Review: Funny, witty, touching & overall a joy to watch.

This movie rates high in my book as a movie I like to see over and over again. Our lives are too busy & stressful not to take time to laugh. Full of one-liners & great character interaction these 3 main characters enter on a journey to save a baby and end up becoming friends (although the sabertooth, Diego did have a different agenda for most of the trip).

I didn't see it until it came out on DVD & wish I had seen it in the theater. Delightful.

If you've never seen it before because it's a kid's cartoon - think again. Even the most serious of individuals will find something funny. Enjoy!
