Summary: The amazing journey!
Review: It starts off when the three animals have to stay with a farm woman when their owners are on vacation. Shadow a golden retreiver misses his owner when they are on vaction. He thinks the owners are in trouble so decides to go home. With Chance an american bulldog and Sassy an Himilayan cat on his side the animals cross plains, rivers, and mountains through an incredible journey. They also come across bears, mountain lions, porcupines, skunks, racoons, and even a lost little girl. It also had it's sad moments when Sassy gets pulled away by the river, when Chance got hit in the face by a porcupine, and when Shadow broke his leg falling down an unfinished train track. You will love this movie. It also has a lot of funny moments in it too especially between Chance and Sassy. This is a must see!!!

Summary: For Love of the American Bulldog
Review: Lovely movie for the entire family. We watch it every year or two and it is just as entertaining today as it was the first time. Literally great for the whole family. You laugh, you cry, you feel. It is a fun story and never has a dull moment. We fell so in love with Chance that we bought one of his grandsons. Even if you're without kids, I recommend it for your library. If you're a dog lover, it's a must.

Summary: Better than the second. 16th april 2004.
Review: Seen both, the first is a little bit better than the second. They are both very similar so if you hated the first, you probably wouldn't like the second. It is about 3 pets sassy, chance and shadow who's owners have just left to go on holiday. The 3 pets are left with a woman for a few days until the father as finished what he doing over there. The pets don't feel safe, so they decide to run off in the forests and lakes to find there family. It is a dangerous world out there with the lions and bears and mountain lions. But they spend a whole journey to find them. Chance dosen't like the pound, none of them do but he is mad on not going in again. They end up going there eventually, they are found safe and sound by police officers that have reported about them. But still they refuse to go to the pound, especcially chance he pulls and pulls to not get into danger again when actually they are trying to help them. There family are worried, they head off home to the pound where they have herd thats where they are. Summary: A movie about a cat and two dogs on their way ....
Review: So you never thought that a movie about a cat and two dogs could be so fun and at the same time bring tears to your eyes - well guess again this does. The first time I saw it all alone. My eyes where all red but at the same time I could laugh so hard and load that I think the neighbours must have heard it. I wanted to show it to my friends and the same comment came again - " a cat and two dogs, cant we see something else?" Well lets say some have bought it and others had to go the kitchen at some point..and I dont think it was because they were thirsty. Michael J. Fox is the best for the voice of Chance and Sally Field is soo cool for the voice part of Sassy. I must atmid that I dont know who is the voice of Shodow but the triangle makes it all come true in Homeward Bound. Let me finish with sassy's line...CATS RULE AND DOGS RULE !!

Summary: Good Film, Bad DVD
Review: The DVD version is full-screen format..same as the VHS edition.
Now, if you're a videophile like myself..you want the WHOLE picture..such as the widescreen version that was released on laserdisc. I am probably asking too much, but when can we stop these "fullscreen" dvd releases? They miss over 43% of the film! That's no good.

I LOVE HOMEWARD BOUND!! It has been my favourite childhood movie since before I can remember. I Love Chance and Sassy is cute and Shadow is really brave. It is the PERFECT family film and I GUARANTEE you will LOVE it too!!

Summary: Best Animal Movie Yet!
Review: The story of three determined pets and their remarkable journey home to their owners. it shows how beautiful relationships with animals can be.

Summary: Yes, those ARE five golden stars
Review: This is a Disney film based on Sheila Burford's book __The Incredible Journey__, about three household pets (specifically a bulldog named Chance, a Himalayan cat named Sassy, and a golden retriever named Shadow) who run away from a faraway ranch in order to find their way back to their home in San Francisco. Meanwhile, the owners (specifically 3 kids: a little brother named Jamie, a big brother named Peter, and a sister in the middle named Hope) call a search-and-rescue while at the same time trying to cope with a stepfather. As you may expect, this film eventually comes to a happy ending where everyone is reunited and all is well.

Now, I'm 15 years old and I have loved this film ever since I saw it in the theater at the age of 6. I had many reasons why I loved it at the time--I thought it was funny, I thought it was exciting, and the ending made me cry (hey, don't snicker, I was six years old back then). But now I have a reason why this film has stood the test of time against much flashier and less "cute" movies that I see nowadays, and that's simply because...well, because it's really a good movie!

Don't understand? Well, this film is so much more than just a movie with talking (sort of) animals that go on a journey in order to entertain little 6-year-olds. The pets aren't just animals; they exude the human personalities of their owners! Chance, owned by Jamie, is a mischievious pup who's always sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. Shadow, owned by Peter, is a wise old golden retriever who's always trying to keep Chance out of trouble. And Sassy, owned by Hope, is a fickle cat who always acts like she's sick of being stuck with her "brothers", if you know what I mean.

And then there's the fact that even though the pets start out acting like siblings who drive each other crazy, they wind up going through thick and thin and actually realizing that they really love each other. Also, this film also has a subplot that turns out happy too; Peter, Hope, and Jamie finally learn to love their stepfather and actually call him "Dad". When the pets are back home in the end (face it, you KNEW it was going to happen) and they see the happy faces of their ecstatic owners, and EVERYONE is actually LOVING each other like a REAL family, Chance thinks with pride, "For the first time in my life, I was HOME." Never before have I heard such a profound statement in a Disney movie.

Any idiot can entertain a 6-year-old by making him laugh, cry, and be excited. However, it takes the work of a genius to entertain a 6-year-old with a work that he will even love nine years later. See this film NOW!

P.S. Don't see the sequel--it's completely insipid, and the pets have totally lost their human personalities in it.

Summary: This Is An Incredible Journey!
Review: This is a very funny, exciting, and heart warming film. It's about 2 dogs (Shadow a Golden Retriever, and Chance an American Bulldog), and a cat (Sassy a Hymilayan Cat). They have a family of 4, with a new dad coming into the family, and when that family goes on vacation and leaves them at a good friends house, mistaking that the friend is going to leave them alone, they hop over the fence, and away they go! But, their adventure is filled with thrills and danger. There is a very sad part in the movie with Shadow, but all in all it works out O.K.. It ends happily, and make sure you see the sequel! Later Days!

Summary: Incredible Journey, Disney
Review: This is not a bad re-make, but the original 1963 Incredible
Journey is a gem and wish it would come out in DVD. It is not a gimmicky.
