Summary: This film was enjoyable.
Review: This film was fun to watch but is probably aimed at children under ten years of age. Ross Hill, aged 12.

Summary: REALLY WONDERFUL!
Review: This is a Disney movie that is unlike most of the recent offerings. There are no really horrifyingly, evil 'bad guys' that scare kids so badly. The grasshoppers are the antagonists, but they are pictured as normal not hideous monsters. The colors are bright and cheery (as opposed to ANTZ) and each ant is different from the other (as opposted to ANTZ). Flik's voice could not be more appropriate - a perfect choice. The circus characters are what make the movie so enjoyable with all their pathos and determination to put on their act. But, when the going gets tough they throw their lot in with the ants. This is a really great movie and I recommend it to all parents and anyone who enjoys good, clean entertainment.

Summary: Very, very funny and remarkable
Review: A Bug's Life was an outstanding. I don't know anyone who didn't like this movie. Denis Leary was funny as Francis and Kevin Spacey was great too [as Hopper]. I will always remember the "Hey waiter, i'm in my soup!" quote. I dont know, just go see this movie. I can't wait to get it on DVD. It'll be nice.

Summary: Unfortuantly disapointing
Review: Well I first saw Antz, thinking it was a inferior movie compared to bugs life, and came out amazed. All the Woody Alan jokes, the huge number of stars (Stalvester Stalone,Woody Alan,Sharon stone,Gene Hackman,Dany Glover...just to name a few),the great story and animation (better animation comapred to Bugs life). But, when I saw Bugs Life I was disapointed. It had nothing that could stand up to Antz. Bug's Life story was nothing new...save the kingdom and princess, the humor was ok but really not that great, and animation I felt wasn't as good as Antz. The only time I laughed was when I saw the "out takes" in the credits...I don't know, maybe they meant to put that in Antz, cause that was the only thing funny. Basically, Antz is more for the Adults, it has humorous lines that the adults will get but are not crude or unapropriete for children, While Bug's Life is more for little kids with its "lets save the kingdom" story and "kiddy jokes". Antz turned out to be the superiour movie of the two!

Summary: Bug's Life plot is ideal for children
Review: Better than Hutchback but not as exciting as Mulan A Bug's Life competed with its cousin film, Antz. With happy bright colors the bugs in this film deal with issues that are easier to grasp for children then the more complex Antz which is more suited for adults. The central theme is that a group of misfit circus performers are placed in a situation where they are believed to be Heroes. They must defend the "blue" ants against the grasshopper and the outcast ant hero, flik, must prove that ideas and thoughts must prevail over fear and ignorance, but just when all there plans are ready, Everything falls apart and you find out in the end that being mean is for the birds.

Summary: This was an exellent kids movie.
Review: This was an exellent movie for kids and parents, too. It starts with a bang and goes from there. If you haven't seen this movie yet, take the whole family next Friday night!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You will actually forget that it's computer animated.
Review: This is a movie that employs a medium to convey a story, it doesn't rely upon a medium to serve an agenda. Thank God, a story that my kids can watch without my having to sit around and explain why it's sick. It employs wierd, archaic devices like plot and character development and miserably fails to obsess on special effects. You will forget that this was done with a computer, and find yourself enjoying a movie with your kids instead. This must be stopped!!! Every once in a while someone manages to prove by excellent example that Hollywood is really as bankrupt in creativity as you don't want to believe. Buy this movie. Flush ANTZ, Woody Allen, Woopie Goldberg, Steven Spielberg, and Michael Eisner with them. The cultural hegemony enjoyed by Hollywood hasn't yet bought the last vestiges of sanity. Enjoy it while you can before they buy Pixar too.
