Summary: Horrid!
Review: If there was a -5 star rating option for this movie, that is how I would rate it! It is the worst movie that I have ever seen! It is even too stupid to be funny!

Summary: A favorite holiday classic!
Review: JACK FROST is a wonderful film. It's about an aspiring musician, Jack Frost (Michael Keaton) who is struggling relationships with his loving wife, Gaby (Kelly Preston), and 12-year-old son, Charlie (Joseph Cross) because his band is keeping him from spending quality time with them. Then, on Christmas, Jack finds out that his band just got a record deal but they have to leave to go to a party so the record label can hear them play. And he had already made plans to spend Christmas with his family. He goes off, but then decides to head home again because he doesn't want to miss Christmas with his family. On the way home, however, it starts snowing really hard and he gets into a car accident and dies.

Exactly a year later, Gaby and Charlie and still struggling from the loss of Jack. Charlie goes outside his house one night and tries to make a snowman the way he made one with his father the year before. Suddenly, a few hours later, the snowman comes to life after Charlie plays the hermonica his father had given to him. Jack is given a second chance (even though he comes back to life in the form of the snowman Charlie built) to prove to Charlie and his wife that he can be a dedicated loving father and husband.

JACK FROST is a really fun and delightful family film. It's for all ages (though really young children may find the death of Jack Frost a little tense). Through all the humor, there is a tender, touching message. It's a little sad at the end, too. The acting by the entire cast is absolutely superb. I was surprised that Michael Keaton could sing - he does it very well, even if he was trained for it during the filming. The supporting cast also includes Andy Lawerence, who plays Charlie's best friend. The actor who really shines in this film isn't actually Michael Keaton or Kelly Preston - but it's Joseph Cross (WIDE AWAKE), who plays the son.

This film may look a little cheesy, but it really isn't. JACK FROST is a film everyone should own and treasure - it's a real, underrated gem!

Summary: My father is a snowman!
Review: Jack Frost is an unfunny children's movie based on the disturbing premise of a boy's dead father coming back to this world as a snowman. But wait! This premise exists only to put an anthropomorphic snowman onscreen - the rest of the movie is light slapstick about school bullies and snowfights. The intriguing theme of afterlife, reincarnation, and death is almost completely ignored throughout the film. Only goes to show that almost anything can be made into an insubstantial " heartwarming family movie".

Summary: Great for all ages
Review: Kids will love this film and adults will appreciate it for the meaning and true spirit of Christmas. Thanks, Justin, for using a real life story to affect so many others! Michael Keaton and Kelly Preston are great and so is the boy in the film!

Summary: Jack Frost is agreat movie for Kids and adults!
Review: Michael Keaton & Kelly Preston are great in this comedy/action drama. Looks like a classic film but has great special effects and some stunt sequences. Besides a real snowman we loved the snowball fights and the incredible Snowboard chases.

Summary: Kids Love it
Review: My 5 year old got this for Christmas and hasn't stopped watching it. It is one of the few live-action movies that he'll actually watch. The Snowman does a lot of fun things that the kids will enjoy.

Summary: Wonderful snowman film
Review: Not like "The Magic Snowman", "The Snowman" or "Frosty the Snowman, but still captures the heart and imagination. And the "snowman" is pretty cute except that unlike the other three I have just mentioned was once human. But I like it. It really is a very beautiful and sad film. I haven't cried like this since "Titanic"!

Summary: Not worth buying
Review: Really bad movie. I can't believe I bought it

Summary: Aims at the heart but glorifies death
Review: Sad movie for the adults, okay special effects for the kids. Unfortunately, to me it seems to give the wrong impression of death. People do not come back after they die to help those they love cope with it. My kids like it because of the snowman, but I can't watch it anymore because it disgusts me like that Robin Williams movie about the afterlife did.
