Summary: Best Movie ever Made By Nickelodean
Review: Harriet the Spy is a movie I would watch time and again! I have loved the book ever since second grade, and the cast is wonderful. Please ignore all the negative reviews, they are just trash. I do however, agree with a one star reviewer that Harriet shouldn't have destroyed her notebooks. Perhaps she should have drawn a picture of the person she was mad at and destroyed it. Rosie O'donnel was out of this world when she played Ole Golly. Forget about the book, this movie is much better. My ten year old cousin thought the part when Marian Hawthorne asked where her notebook was was incredibly funny. Hey, that's fourth grade humor for you.

Summary: Harriet the Spy
Review: We have not read the book on which this movie is based, however, to the reviewers who panned the movie -- Lighten UP! My three kids love this movie. Its biggest strength is that it teaches kids that no bad situation is without lessons, and MORE IMPORTANTLY, no bad situation is without end. Kids have a hard time obtaining perspective when things are bad, that is why there is more suicide among the young than there should be. So what if the movie isn't perfect, are you?

Summary: IF THERE IS ANY WORSE MOVIES TELL ME!
Review: Lame dumb jokes my grandma said when she was 7 years old. No good plot- line. And the cast is unbearable. Having rosie-odonnel and her lame jokes is cheesy enough to give this movie 2 stars. If there was zero stars as an option, I defanitly would pick that. P.S. I fell asleep 15 minutes into the movie, don't waste your time and money on this film that looks like a monkey put together. I reccommend good burger if your looking for good nick movies. But don't pay attention to this crap

Summary: A pretty unique movie.
Review: Interesting to see such polarized reviews. Personally, I really liked the movie. Maybe the book was better -- I don't know, I didn't read it. But judged on its own merits, the movie is very successful. Good music, good acting from the kids -- what more could you want?

The story? It may be a little whimsical, but it pulled me in anyway. I definitely felt for Harriet when her class turned against her, and I thought Michelle Trachtenberg played the part very well. Rosie O'Donnell has all the passion of a fence post, but hey, that's Rosie O'Donnell. It works OK.

I recommend this movie for kids and adults of all ages. Seriously.

Summary: I love this movie.
Review: My mom and I love this movie. And it's clean without the sex, drugs, and/or violence. I suggest it to any kid, I'm twelve and I still like it. But the movie could have done without Rosie O' Donnell. This movie is honest and struck a note of puerile grace.

Summary: Boom-mike
Review: The first time I saw the movie [theater] I noticed a boom-mike hanging around. How clumsy can you be. This movie is just pointless and your better off reading the book.

Summary: It is a great movie!
Review: Rosie O'Donnel as always is a great actress in this movie. I know a lot of kids personaly that really enjoy this movie. So don't believe all those bad reviews, cause it's not true. This movie doesn't have any junk or bad stuff in it, so children don't get any bad ideas from this movie at all. It's also a good family movie because adults enjoy it too, along with their children.

Summary: two thumbs down!Way down
Review: Nickelodean has made some terrible films but compared to Harriot the Spy they are all Oscar winners. The humor is dry,the characters are stupid, and the childish plot is something that no one can possibly like.My advice to parents, don't let your kids see this monstrosity.

Summary: Harriet is a great babysitter!
Review: All of my girls(8, 10 1/2, and 13 years old) absolutely loved this movie! I watched it with them the first time, and it's free of messages that are harmful to kids. It has warmth, friendship, family, responsibility, and adventure. It's one of the few films a mom can trust to let her kids watch these days. By the way, I enjoyed it too, so it definitely isn't bad for grown-ups!! Good job; I'm all smiles.

Summary: Unbearable
Review: Louise Fitzhugh's entertaining children's novel is trashed in this atrocious film. Michelle Trachtenberg displays no talent whatsoever, and succeeds only in being irritating. The miscast (and equally untalented) O'Donnell turns in yet another typically wretched performance. There is no excuse for a cast this bad, or a film this dreadful. Pure tripe from start to finish.
