Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Living in the Dinosaurs backyard
Review: One can only imagine what it must have been like to
roam the wilderness and countryside and try and place
yourself in the same landscapes with dinosaurs walking
around.

This is must see for all interested dinosaurs to view.
My 5 year old grandson, who knows the name of about 30
different dinosaurs, sits in AWE (along with me) over the
size of animals that very well could have shared the same
ground we walk on today.

Excellent film.

Summary: Pretty good
Review: Pretty good but not as good as BBC's Walking with Dinosaurs. This documentary has a very different approch from Walking with Dinosaurs. It is more intense and it sometimes give you a feeling that you are watching a movie.

The CGI is not as good as Walking with Dinosaurs even if this documentary has been published (and made) 2 years after.

Overall,I like this documentary a lot. I will suggest both to anyone you loves dinosaurs

Summary: Closer than you think
Review: This is my second favorite documentary after Walking with dinosaurs. I rated Walking with Dinosaurs 4 stars because the raptors had no feathers and the film lacked full doby digital sound. Both problems were not in When dinosaurs roamed America. It had full doby digital sound and it gave feathers to every dino it could. The special effects were more realistic than every other documentary but not as good as Walking with dinosaurs or Allosaurs. It included dinosaurs that were not in Walking with dinosaurs so this is the most realistic view that you will see of them. The picture quality was very good. It had 1.78.1 anamorphic Widscreen. The sound quality was good. This needed more supplements. It had less than five minutes of making of material. The triceratops had bent horns and the T-rex hunted in packs. This was not true. I hated the part when the t-rex skiped the triceratops carcass. That would not happen. If you believe in the dino bird theroy than when dinosaurs roamed America is for you

Summary: Not Better Than WWD
Review: When Dinosaurs Roamed America is a movie similar to "Walking with Dinosaurs", it shows dinosaurs made with computer animation in a documentary style (like nature shows). Since both movies are similar, a fair comparison can be made. The computer animation is excellent just as in WWD. The music is average classical stlye, but not as good as WWD. The narrator in this movie is, Mr. John Goodman, who did a pretty good job, but does not match the excellent narration of the one in WWD. A few other things kind falters in this movie, "When Dinosaurs Roamed America": it's very short, it has similar scenes to WWD, they even took similar narration lines. Overall it's a very good movie but lacks the poetic beauty of Walking with Dinosaurs DVD, but it's still a good purchase.
