Summary: The Best Barney video I've seen!
Review: Creative new setting for Barney and his Friends! Kids and parents will love the upbeat music! Barney still teaches the kids how to share and care about others.

Summary: My 24 month old sister can't get enough
Review: I bought my 24 month old sister this video a month ago and she has watched it at least once a day since. She asks for it all the time and she already sings along to most of the songs. There are a few parts she doesn't quite 'get' yet, but she is thoroughly entertained by it nonetheless. With the funny songs and skits, she enjoys singing along, looking for the puppy, making the sour pickle face, and dancing with the Rockers.

Summary: Gets lot of 2 year olds attention
Review: I had this for over an year and my son just started to enjoy it. Probably, he is now old enough to follow it more than he did a year ago. He waits for the buble scene and gets so excited when it gets there.

Summary: My Favorite of all time!
Review: I have been a Barney fan since I was born ! (1991) You might say I'm the oldest and biggest fan of all. This has been the greatest video of all time even since there have been others sinnce this one. There are new sets and songs. Barney videos just get better as they go. Use your imagination!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Not Barney's usual fun for little ones
Review: My 2-year-old loves Barney, and we have quite a few Barney tapes and d-v-d's (which I've watched over and over with her)...so I thought this would be a good addition.
Wrong.
It just doesn't have any appeal, and quite frankly, is very boring.
My little girl knows all the Barney songs, and loves to sing and dance along...but with "Come on over to Barney's House", there wasn't much to sing or dance to, and there were only a couple of kids involved with the storyline...
A big disappointment to both of us!

Summary: Too much Information for kids' to handle!!
Review: My brother recived this as a present last year. At the time he was two years old. (Now he is three.) The video is doing the imagining for the kids. The idea of Barny's house is cute but a lot of the information is too complicated for todlers to compute. The PBS Barney seris are a great influnce on kids. Generally the information is not too difficult to understand and as always,it convays the solid message to children.
In this video, however there is a side plot of BJ and his friends trying to invent a new dance. Barney and friends go on the computer and get information about dancing and they use what they learn to invent a new dance. There are many songs and dances to do. This is a good video to watch two or three times, but it does not hold kids' interest like the other tapes do. Good Luck!:)

Summary: Not one of the best
Review: My daugthers (1 and 2.5) are quite huge Barney fans but they don't seem to like this one quite as much. Some of the things they did - like using the computer to surf the WWW and the globe to visit other countries seemed to go over their head. There wasn't enough singing and dancing - too much talking! They enjoy seeing Barney's house and point all the wonderful things out to me but they always prefer to watch one of the other Barney videos we have with more singing and dancing.

Summary: Come on Over to Barney's House
Review: My son absolutely loves this one! I watched it with him and this unlike many of the other Barney video's actually asks your child to get involved. Certain characters come over to Barney's house for a short visit and Barney gives you a clue (which is sometimes a song) as to who the guest is and then asks you "Who do you think that is?". It's wonderful!

Summary: Exciting New Look, And Retains The Old Magic
Review: Some reviews here have criticized this title unnecessarily, because it looks a bit different from earlier Barney titles. To my eye, it looks much better - and my three little ones have happily embraced it. There are some nice surprises in here for Moms and Dads - jokes that are actually funny, fewer and more natural-acting kids (and even some "real kids" who appear from time to time making "silly pickle faces" and other such fun). My kids liked the interactivity of playing "guess who's at the door" with visiting nursery rhyme characters, and they got a huge kick out of the adorable puppy which Barney brings to visit. And of course, there are tons of classic songs, just like always. In summary, if you're looking for exactly the same kind of Barney videos you can watch for free on PBS every day, choose one of the other titles. If you want a fresh new look at Barney which you'll enjoy (nearly) as much as your kids do, by all means pay a visit to Barney's House!
